Match Number Four: Anything Goes: Ethan Page versus Anthony Nese
Nese poses for Page and Page slaps Nese. Page with punches followed by an Irish whip and back body drop. Page goes to the floor and he looks under the ring and he grabs a chair. Nese kicks Page and he goes to the apron. Neese avoids a chair and Nese with a super kick to Page. Page hits Nese in the head with the chair when he throws it at him. Page with an Irish whip into the ring post. Page puts the chair around Nese's head and sends Nese chair first into the ring post. Page with a back breaker to Nese. Page sends more chairs into the ring.
Page hits Nese with a chair and sends Nese back into the ring. Page sets for the springboard cutter but Nese with a knee followed by a DDT onto the chair and Nese with a quebrada with Page hanging on the ropes and chair. Nese hits Page with the chair and chokes him with it. Nese brings more chairs into the ring and Nese slams Page onto some chairs to get a near fall. Page with punches followed by an enzuigiri. Nese throws a chair at Page in the head and Nese gets a near fall. Nese goes under the ring and he gets a ladder and brings it into the ring. Nese hits Page in the ribs with the ladder and chokes him with it.
Nese puts the ladder in the corner and hits Page in the leg with a chair. Nese hits Page in the head with the top of the chair. Nese hits Page in the ribs with a chair. Nese wedges chairs into the turnbuckles. Nese sends Page into the ring post when the chair falls out of the corner. Nese sends Page into another turnbuckle. Nese tries to send Page into the ladder but Page with a catapult into the ladder. Page hits Nese in the had with the chair and then Page with the Funk helicopter spin with the ladder. Page picks up Nese and hits a fallaway slam into the chair wedged in the turnbuckles.
Page gets a near fall. Page sets up a chair in the ring. Page climbs onto the chairs for a pile driver onto the chairs but Nese counters. Page with a bicycle kick and then Page elevates Nese and drops him onto the chairs and gets a near fall. Nese with a drop toe hold onto the chair. Page with an RKEgo onto the chair for a near fall. Page with a forearm and he puts Nese on the turnbuckles and chops him. Page sets for a superplex but Nese escapes and Nese sets for a power bomb. Page with punches and Nese with a running European uppercut. Nese with a Death Valley Driver onto the chairs and Page kicks out.
Nese and Page have a Tanaka/Awesome chari duel. Page with a kcik and side slam. Page hits Nese in the head with the chair and Page gets a near fall. Page sets up chairs in the ring and puts the ladder across them. Page picks up Nese and sends him into the turnbuckles. Page sets for a suplex onto the ladder but Nese with a knee and kicks. Page with a round kick but Nese with a matrix and super kick. Nese puts Page on the turnbuckles. Page gets off the turnbuckles and Page with a power bomb onto the ladder. Page wtih a package pile driver for the three count.
Winner: Ethan Page
After the match, Page offers his hand and Nese shakes it before he leaves the ring.
Lenny Leonard is in the ring and he says we are here tonight to honor a special wrestler.. He is a three time NWA Champion and WWE Hall of Famer from Amarillo, Texas. Lenny brings out Terry Funk. The crowd chants for Terry. Terry takes the mic and he says you are making an old man feel good. He thanks everyone for being here tonight.
Lenny asks for someone to bring the plaque out for Terry.
Sabu comes out and he throws a chair into the ring. Sabu teases throwing a chair at Funk but he throws it down and he shakes Terry's hand and hugs him. Mick Foley makes his way through the crowd and into the ring and he has the plaque for Terry and he hugs him.
Foley takes the mic and he asks everyone if they are surprised. Mick says that it is a heck of a celebration for Terry Funk. Mick says that he was told that anyone could induct him into the Hall of Fame and he chose Terry Funk. There are some things going on in Dallas, but the reason he is not there is because Terry Funk is here.
The crowd chants for Terry.
Mick says they all love him and Terry is everything right about this business. Mick says that he told Mick that even if he attended the Hall of Fame, his heart would be here with Terry.
Terry takes the mic and he says the wrestling fans have been his life and he loves them so much. He loves Sabu and Foley and he loves being in the ring with them. Funk says that they are two of the best.
Earl Cooter and Larry Dallas come out and they applaud what just happened.
Earl takes the mic and he says he came out here to congratulate Terry. He says it is a great night that we have the legend Terry Funk. He says he is Terry's biggest fan and he knows that there are a few legends in the rin. Earl wants to be the next big legend. All he wants to do is show Terry what he has.
Terry insults Earl and Larry.
Larry says that Terry Funk will not do anything for Larry Dallas. Larry says he expected better from Terry. The only time you will be nice to people is when people pay you for your merchandise.
Mick takes the mic and he says they have the right to free speech just like people wearing the shirts they want. Mick sees a Progress Wrestling shirt that says 'This Is Progress' and he says what is in the ring is not progress.
Funk punches Earl and Larry. Sabu gets a chair and throws it at Earl and he hits an Arabian Facebuster. Funk with jabs to Dallas and Larry goes down. Funk holds Larry for Sabu and Sabu throws the chair at Larry. Funk hits Larry in the back with the chair. Foley pulls off his sock while Funk throws a chair at Cooter. Funk with Mr. Socko to Larry. Foley does the same to Cooter.
It is time for intermission.
