20 Man Battle Royal

Standard rules apply here. I didn't recognize anyone in this match except Peter Avalon, who was one of the jobbers Ethan Carter III beat up every week when he first debuted in TNA. Since I don't know anyone in this match, there's not much I can do here in terms of play-by-play, but pretty much every battle royal in history has gone the same, so just trust me when I say it was a battle royal, the stream kept dropping out, and "The God of War" JR Kratos (yes, his gimmick is he's the guy from God of War) won.

Winner: JR Kratos

I apologize for the brevity in this one, but like I said, there's not much I can do with a battle royal full of people I don't know.

First Round Match: B-Boy vs Brian Cage

Cage gets the early advantage, popping B-Boy over in a big suplex and then taking him outside to suplex him onto the ring apron. B-Boy slips out of Cage's grasp to ram him into the ringpost, but Cage barely registers that before hoisting B-Boy up and powerbombing him into the ringpost. They go back inside where Cage elevates B-Boy into a bow & arrow, then chokes him on the bottom rope. Cage hits a short clothesline and then goes for a press slam, B-Boy escapes, but Cage immediately powerslams B-Boy. Cage tries an Asai moonsault, but B-Boy moves and plants Cage with a springboard DDT for 2. B-Boy gets Cage in a series of submission attempt, but Cage powers out and easily picks B-Boy up into a backbreaker and then a twisting neckbreaker. We hear the five minute warning as Cage measures B-Boy, but B-Boy catches him with an Ace Crusher as he charges in, then goes for the diving facewash and connects for 2. They wind up on the apron and b-Boy goes for a piledriver, Cage blocks that so B-Boy hits a DDT on the ring apron and both men tumble to the floor. B-Boy is up first and connects with a running double stomp to the back of Cage's head from the ring apron. Cage rolls inside and B-Boy goes to the top and connects with another double stomp for a very close 2. Cage counters a leapfrog attempt to a sitout wheelbarrow bomb for 2. B-Boy blocks a piledriver attempt and small packages Cage for 2, then hits the Shining Wizard for another 2. Cage catches B-Boy with a bicycle kick, then hits the Gory Bomb for the win.

Winner: Brian Cage

Brian Cage is awesome, he's the total package and the guy I personally hope will win the whole thing. Great, competitive first round match.

First Round Match: Willie Mack vs Jody Kristofferson

Willie dominates the early part of this match, using his speed to wrestle circles around Jody and catching him with high impact moves. Jody stops Willie's momentum with a charging splash in the corner and a big powerslam for 2. Jody turns Mack inside out with a huge clothesline for 2, then easily lifts Mack and hits a Bret Hart side backbrekaer for 2. Mack comes off the ropes with a crossbody, but Jody catches him and turns it into a powerslam for 2. Jody has impressive power with the types of moves he's hitting on Mack, put he's unable to put him away thus far. Mack looks to have injured his knee doing something, but he still hits an explosive babyface comeback and winds up trading blows in the middle of the ring. Jody comes charging into the corner on Mack, but Mack hits a nice spinkick to the face, then comes off the top with a twisting senton for the win.

Winner: Willie Mack

Good match, it was interesting to see Willie working against someone who can muscle him around like that. Willie's my #2 pick behind Cage.

First Round Match: Jeckles vs Luster The Legend

Jeckles is quite an interesting character, and if I had to try and describe him, he kinds of looks like a combination of BxB Hulk (the emo version), Kizarney, and wearing Iron Sheik boots. Luster (who looks like a really in shape Arik Cannon) quickly takes Jeckles out to the floor and takes him out with a dive. They come back inside where Luster comes off the top with a kneedrop to the back of Jeckles' head for 2. Jeckles fires back with some charging Yakuza kicks and a Saito suplex for 2. Jeckles with a short clothesline for 2, then he goes for a springboard moonsault, but Luster gets the knees up and then starts dropping headbutts on Jeckles' ribs. Luster with shoulderblocks in the corner, then he hits a Samoan drop and comes off the top with an elbowdrop for 2. Luster hits an Austin Aries dropkick in the corner, but Jeckles with another Yakuza kick, a release German suplex, Luster gets a release German of his own, and Jeckles hits a roaring elbow that almost knocks Luster out, but it only gets 2. Jeckles hits a seocnd rope moonsault for 2, then he goes to the top and gets crotched by Luster. Luster, who has obviously been watching his ECW tapes, hits an Awesome bomb and then gets Jeckles in the Texas Cloverleaf. Jeckles makes it to the ropes, dumps Luster to the floor, and nearly kills himself with a dive over the ropes. He's okay luckily, and they're back inside trading blows in the middle of the ring. Lsuter gets a cobra clutch, sweeps Jeckles' legs, and maintainsthe hold until Jeckles passes out.

Winner: Luster the Legend

Good match, too bad one of these guys is eliminated because I liked what I saw from both of them.
