CODY RHODES VS. ANTHONY GANGONE, EYFBO VS. REDRAGON, HOMICIDE, BRIAN XL, KEN BROADWAY VS. LIO RUSH & MORE: HOUSE OF GLORY 'ADRENALINE' COVERAGE FROM NYC

By Mike Johnson on 2017-05-27 23:30:00

HOG Tag Team champions EYFBO vs. reDRagon.

EYFBO AKA Impact Tag Team champions LAX.   EYFBO is the name they had been using on the independents prior to the Impact run.  They had the Impact belts with them.

O'Reilly seemed to be limping a bit.  He started out with Mike Draztic. They had some nice back and forth grappling and faced off.    After some back and forth wrestling, they tagged out to Angel Ortiz and Bobby Fish.  Good action early on.  ReDragon nailed a double suplex and Kyle scored a two count.  Fish nailed a nice slingshot senton splash into the ring.

Kyle tagged in and worked over Angel but was drill  Draztic tagged and began attacking O'Reilly's knee with elbows.  He tried up his leg in the ropes and drilled it with a running kick.   He nailed Fish off the apron.  EYFBO tagged in and out working over Kyle.  They held Kyle up for a delayed vertical suplex, tagging in and out as they switched positions, before nailing the suplex.  Ortiz used a spinning toehold to keep wearing down Kyle's leg.  Terry Funk would be proud.

Kyle tried to fight them off with kicks but was caught with a dropkick to the leg.  Draztic slammed him for a two count.   Fish finally got the hot tag and drilled Draztic and Ortiz with some great looking kicks.  He knocked Ortiz from the ring and covered Draztic for a two count.  O'Reilly was on the floor for a long time due to the damage of his knee.  EYFBO finally caught Fish and began double teaming him and scoring near falls.

O'Reilly returned to the fray and turned a sunset flip attempt by Ortiz into a cross armbreaker.  Draztic tried to stomp him but was taken down and Kyle had both in submissions at the same time.  Awesome.   Fish took out Ortiz and Kyle drilled a series of kicks.  Ortiz nailed a flapjack.  Draztic faced off with both members of ReDragon and nailed a series of strikes.  He wiped out Fish with an enziguiri and caught O'Reilly for a two count.  They battle went back and forth until EYFBO caught O'Reilly with a double team Blockbuster for the pin.

Your winners and still HOG Tag Team champions, EYFBO!

Fun match with lots of good tag action.

HOG  champion Anthony Gangone vs. Cody Rhodes

Gangone tried to stall for a long time.  Cody went to the ropes.  He was distracted by one of the House of Gangone.  Gangone shoved Cody backwards, into the air, where he crashed to the floor and through a table.  It was a spectacular looking bump, like Sabu in his prime level nuts, hitting it with big velocity.  Rhodes was down for a long time but got to hit feet.  Gangone kicked him back down to the floor, where he was almost counted out.

Rhodes finally returned to the ring.  Gangone worked him over and did the Fargo Strut.  Big pop!!!  He worked over Rhodes for a long time, scoring two counts.  The crowd began chanting for Cody, trying to rally him.   Gangone kicked him back to the floor.  Gangone tried to execute a running kick but Rhodes caught him and swept the other leg, knocking him to the floor.  Cody made a comeback and scored a two count after a great scoopslam.  He nailed the Disaster Kick for a close two count.  The House of Gangone tried to get involved but the referee ejected them.  As that was going on, Rhodes was lowblowed by Gangone and covered for a two count.

Gangone worked over Cody and locked on a chicken wing.  Rhodes made a comeback and locked on the figure four leglock.   The battled continued with Cody finally nailing an awesome looking Cross Rhodes for a CLOSE two count.  Gangone came back to nail it on Rhodes for a two count.  He went to stomp Rhodes but was caught with a series of strikes. Rhodes went to the floor.  Gangone went for a suicide dive but Rhodes moves and he crashed and burned HARD into the guard rail in spectacular fashion.

The battle returned to the ring where Rhodes went to kick Gangone, who moved and the ref got caught low and called for the bell.  Ugh.  I hated that finish.  So did the crowd, which loudly chanted "Bullsh**."

Your winner and still HOG champion, Anthony Gangone!

.The House of Gangone hit the ring and beat the hell out of Cody.  The lights went out and when they returned, The Amazing Red was in the ring behind Gangone.  He and Gangone went face to face as the crowd chanted "Welcome back."   Gangone slowly bent down to take his championship belt and slowly backed out of the ring and left with his minions.  The show ended with Red, who was making his first official appearance here in a LONG time, playing to the crowd.

Overall, a very fun show.  The three main events were all state of the art and excellent.
