PRE-SHOW NOTES:
The legendary Atlas Security including Ronnie Lang himself are in the house....The locker room is buzzing there's a big surprise tonight....the show is 100% sold out....AEW's Kazuchika Okada as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi and the legendary Tiger Hatori are all in attendance visiting....No word yet on a return date....It was great to see everyone who stopped by to say hi before the show. Our NYC peeps are the best.
They aired a pre-show video of classic MLW footage to hype up the crowd. Terry Funk appearing on screen garnered a massive TERRY chant live in the Melrose Ballroom. Fans then chanted loudly when Jerry Lawler and Sabu were shown. The footage ran the gamut of MLW's life, showing everyone from Joey Styles to Samoa Joe to Sonjay Dutt to Gary Hart to Matt Riddle to Contra.
Our ring announcer tonight is Rich Palladino.
They tossed some MLW t-shirts out to fans in the crowd.
They played the national anthem.
MLW BLOOD AND THUNDER 2025
Richardo introduced Cesar Duran, MLW President as well as Salina de la Renta. Duran said he loves NYC, the noise, the kills, the Knicks. They have prepared a fight card worthy of The Big Apple. He led an MLW chant.
Salina announced they will determine a new Middleweight Champion at Fightland, which is 9/13 in Dallas, Texas.
Scramble Match: Matthew Justice vs. CW Anderson vs. Okumura vs. Mr. Thomas vs. Ariel Dominguez vs. Madds Krule Krueger
Everyone went after Krule. It didn't work out so well for them. Thomas and Krule battled. Ariel tried to get in between and chopped them. He was much smaller than them and was pressed up. Matthew attacked both and Ariel crashed rudely down. Justin grabbed him and hit a DVDR off the apron onto Thomas and Krule on the floor. NYC loved that. Anderson and Okumura battled. CW nauled a big superkicked on Okumura. Thomas nailed him and hit a BIG dive over the top to the floor on everyone. He nailed a top rope flog splash on CW for a two count. Justice attacked him. Okumura nailed Justice with a running elbow and a cutter off the top for a two count.
Justice came back with a leaping shoulderblock off the ropes but was cut off by Thomas. Anderson superkicked Thomas but was nailed by Ariel. Ariel was snatched and slammed into the buckles by Krule but avoided a charge into the buckles. Thomas and Justice chopped and worked over Krule in the corner. This set up a big Tower of Doom spot. Ariel hit a top rope rana on Krule and went back to the top. CW cut him off and nailed a delayed vertical superplex. The crowd chanted, "You still got it." Krule snatched and slammed Anderson and pinned him.

This was a fun sprint with a lot of good stuff until the finish. Ariel got over being the smallest guy doing his spots. Everyone worked super hard here. The finish seemed to come out of nowhere though.
Neon vs. Paul London with Paul Walter Hauser - Lightning match - Ten Minute Time Limit
Good, fast paced match. London and Neon each missed moves off the top. London nailed a back suplex for a two count. London grabbed him in a chinlock and nailed some cross faces. London worked over his neck. He cinched on a camel clutch. Neon almost slipped coming out of the corner but saved himself, hitting a kick on the way down. London kicked off a charge and went to the top. Neon shoved him and London was crotched on the top. Neon dropkicked him and London crashed backwards from the top, hit the apron and then the floor. It was an insane bump.
Neon hit a big tope con hilo to the outside. The referee began counting them both out. Neon returned to his feet and tossed London into the ring. He ran across him, stomping London and nailed a top rope moonsault for a two count. London came back with a spinkick and hit a running boot in the corner. London rolled him up for a two count. Neon attacked and snapped the leg. Neon went to the top but was crotched. London drilled his back and went to the ropes, attempting a back superplex. Neon drilled him with elbows and London crashed backwards into the ring. Neon hit an inverted flip into an elbow. London rolled to the outside with 30 seconds left. He tossed London back in but there was no time left to make the pin as the time limit elapsed.
Draw.
Good work.
London showed respect to Neon, then attacked him and shoved Hauser away, walking off.
Opera Cup: Bishop Dyer with Mister Saint Laurent vs. Anthony Greene
Greene tried to take Dyer down but he was too big. He shoulderblocked Greene down to the mat. Greene blocked a hiptoss and used a headlock takedown to gain control. He followed up with a rana that sent Dyer, the former Baron Corbin in WWE, to the floor. Greene went to follow but was caught and almost sent into the ring post. Greene escaped and used a superkick. He tossed Dyer back in and went for a move off the top but missed as Dyer avoided it. Dyer cut him off with a short arm clothesline and choked him against the ropes.
Greene fired back with chops but was drilled and tossed to the floor. Dyer slammed him into the apron. Back in the ring, Greene tried to fire back but was nailed. He missed a charge in the corner, was clothesline and hit with a death valley driver for a close two count. Greene looked good in firing away on Dyer and hitting a neckbreaker. He drove Dyer to the mat with a bulldog variant and came off the ropes with a twisting press for a two count. Dyer nailed Deep Six but Greene kicked out. Greene ducked a clothesline and clotheslined Dyer to the floor.
Greene dove off the ropes to the floor with a lariat but was caught with End of Days and pinned.

Dijak with Jared Saint Laurent came out. They cut a promo on MLW Champion Matt Riddle. Dijak said he has advice for Riddle. He told him to stop making Onlyfans content and get out to the ring to lose the title to Dijak. Matt Riddle's music hit but he didn't come out. It played again, but no Riddle. Krule came out carrying a beat up Riddle. They brawled on the stage. A table was set up on the stage. Krule tried to chokeslam Dijak, who blocked it and nailed Krule, hitting it through the table. Krule rose up behind Dijak and Laurent and attacked. They brawled off...
Opera Cup: Ikuro Kwan vs. Mistico
Huge reaction and chant for Mistico at the bell. Kwan attacked and focused on the back and neck. Mistico was sent to the floor. Kwan worked him over with chops. They battled back in, where Mistico fired back with chops. Kwan regained control and nailed a big shoulderblock. Mistico came off the ropes with a leaping back elbow and hit a flying bodypress from the top. He nailed a rana that sent Kwan to the floor. Mistico hit a tope suicida to the floor. Mistico nailed an elbow for a two count. Mistico looked a little off. He went for a moonsault into a stomp but Kwan moved. Mistico missed a swanton off the top.
Kwan hit a back suplex and held Mistico for a two count. They battled back to their feet and fired and forth. Kwan nailed a clothesline in the corner. They KO'd each other with stereo kicks to the head. The referee began counting them down on the mat. Kwan went to the top but Mistico drilled him with kicks. Mistico set up and nailed The Spanish Fly and scored the pin.
Your winner, advancing, Mistico!
With the exception of a pair of rough Mistico spots, this was very good. Kwan looked the strongest I've seen him. Entertaining.
The crowd loved seeing Mistico.
Kwan blew mist at the referee after the match.
Ava Everett vs. Shotzi Blackheart.
Big reaction for Blackheart as she came to the ring. The crowd chanted for her. Blackheart was sporting a cast on her wrist.
Everett played a good heel here, working over Shotzi and attacking the wrist. Shotzi finally caught her near the ropes and DDT'd her. Ava ripped at Shotzi's face and returned to the ring. Shotzi was almost counted out. When she returned, they attacked each other with forearms. Blackheart nailed several kicks and knee strikes. Blackheart nailed an cannonball in the corner and scored a two count.
Everett cut her off in the corner and nailed a backcracker. She went to set up for a superkick but Shotzi avoided it and locked on a crossface for the submission win.

The crowd absolutely loved Blackheart and Everett did really well here.
