We take a look back at what happened with Cody Rhodes since Elimination Chamber.
John Cena's music plays and he walks to the ring and the crowd shows their disappointment in what he did at Elimination Chamber.
The music stops and the chants turn into a split of fans for and against Cena.
Cena drops the mic and then he picks it up after many boos. He drops it again and leaves the ring.
Cena returns to the ring.
John says when someone is properly grounded, they shouldn't look outside themselves for approval. He says you are making this so easy for him. For twenty-five years, he says he has been the victim. The victim of an abusive relationship. You have lost your time to talk.
He tells the people you take the floor and all you are is hurtful and abusive. You have bullied him to be your puppet and do it with a smile on his face. No more.
The crowd shows their appreciation for Cena and their proficiency in English obscenities.
He says he is not a baby face. He is not a heel. He says he is a human being. Each and every one of you have been awful to him. He tells them to go ahead. It has been the same damn noise for twenty-five years. You let me know that you hated me. John says he changed himself and you liked him, but it didn't work. He says he started to win and win and win and win and win. He says he won a lot and you hated it. It wasn't enough. What did he do?
For the next ten years, he tried to give away everything he possibly could, and it wasn't enough. Cena says he could walk away. He points out how the chant cheers for him about retiring.
Cena says he said he was walking away after the end of the year. He says he tried to do something nice and you ruined it. For two seconds, it was great and then it was never enough.
The crowd serenades Cena.
Cena says each of these idiots is proving his point. No matter what you do, it is not enough and you should be ashamed of yourselves. All you ever do is you take and take and take. All you care about is yourselves. Cena says he put his values on the line to make an important decision and all you cared about is 'what do I get'? Not one of you sons of bitches asked him how does hie feel. It is 'what do we get'?
You get nothing. You get what you have earned and what you have earned is NOTHING. You don't get a new look because you dress like me. You don't get new music. He says that is his voice on the song and it is his time. You get a long look in the mirror to see how awful each and every one of you have been for twenty five years to him.
The crowd chants for Cody.
Cena says you are cheering for your new shiny toy because you are putting this one out to pasture. You prove that you are awful people. None of you are safe.
The Cena sucks Jackoffs prove they are terrible people. Now I am going to tell you why the Let's Go Cena are just as awful. You claim to support me, but what have you ever done to support him? What have you done for him? All you do is steal from him. You steal his personal moments. You steal his time. You made him into a toy. You made him the butt of a stupid invisible joke for fifteen years. It is not funny, it is pathetic. You are pathetic.
You aren't ready to hear this and lean into an uncomfortable moment. You wear those words to be like me. Cena says he lives through hustle, loyalty, and respect every day. He is about Never Giving Up. You do not support him. You use him to explain your failure of your life. All you have done for twenty-five years is sit on your ass and watch him be great. NO MORE. Everyone, including that one kid, is a toxic relationship.
Cena says he is breaking up with you and he is done. He is breaking up with everyone whether you like him or not. You are dumped. Cena says he does not care about you. There is no noise you can make or nothing you can do because he is right and you are wrong.
Cody Rhodes' music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Cody says everyone was willing to hear you out, even himself. Cody says Cena says they have given you their worst, but they have given you their best for twenty-five years. They did it because you were special. You could take it and you could carry it.
Cena calls Cody kid and Cody tells Cena that is ENOUGH.
Cody says it is not kid, it is WWE Champion. Cody asks John who the hell are you? Where is the guy on that shirt? Cody says he was excited at the idea of going week to week with John Cena, but he got this. This better not show up at Wrestlemania. If it does, he runs it over and runs it out. He took it's best shot and he will retire it early. Go find John Cena because he wants to wrestle him at Wrestlemania 41, not this whiny bitch.
Cody leaves the ring.
Cena drops the mic and he leaves the ring.
Cena stands at the entrance on the stage and he then he goes to the back.
Michael Cole says he believed in that man for twenty years and bought what he was selling. Then he has the audacity to blame the fans? He is a star, a millionaire, and a movie star because of the fans. He calls Cena a prick.
Corey says he is disappointed in Cena but he says that Cena believed what he was saying.
Ludwig Kaiser addresses the crowd before his match.
He says he demands all your gratitude. He says when he speaks, you shut up. He says he is standing here in this historical moment because tonight he will take care of Penta for good in this No Holds Barred Match. Penta claims to not know fear. Kaiser says after he destroys Penta, nobody will remember his name. All they are going to remember is that Ludwig Kaiser is the fastest rising superstar in WWE and Penta will learn what fear truly means.
Match Number One: Ludwig Kaiser versus Penta in a No Holds Barred Match
They start off exchanging punches and chops. Penta clotheslines Kaiser over the top rope and he goes to the floor with a baseball slide. Kaiser sends Penta into the time keeper's area. Penta walks the ringside barrier and he hits a head scissors on the floor. They return to the ring and Kaiser goes back to the floor and he gets some chairs. Penta drop kicks Kaiser off the apron and Penta with a flip dive. Penta pulls off the hood of the announce table and they go onto the table. They exchange chops on the announce table. Kaiser gouges the eyes and he gets Penta up and hits a rolling Death Valley Driver on the announce table.
Kaiser sends Penta into the ring post. Penta with chops and punches to Kaiser against the ring post. Penta goes for another chop but he takes too long and Kaiser ducks so Penta's hand hits the post. Kaiser kicks Penta. Kaiser sends Penta into the ringside barrier. Kaiser chokes Penta against the ringside barrier. Kaiser sends Penta back into the ring and he puts Penta on the top turnbuckle. Kaiser climbs the turnbuckles and punches Penta in the head. Kaiser goes for the mask and Penta pushes Kaiser off the turnbuckles. Penta with a cross body and a back heel kick. Penta with a wraparound bulldog and then he floats over in the corner for a lungblower and he gets a near fall.
Penta runs into a jumping round kick and Kaiser follows with Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Kaiser kicks Penta to the floor and he sends Penta into the ring steps and ring post. Kaiser sets for the Wacky move but Penta back drops Kaiser onto the announce table. Penta with chops and forearms. Kaiser fires back. The exchange continues and Penta with many forearms. Kaiser with a face plant to counter a satellite move. Kaiser with a forearm to the back of the neck and he gets a near fall. Kaiser tells Penta he will fear him. Kaiser punches Penta and he grabs a chair. Kaiser hits Penta in the back with the chair. Penta puts the bottom of the chair against Penta's throat. Penta uses the power of Cero Miedo to power out. Penta hyper-extends the arm and he grabs the chair. Kaiser begs for mercy and he tells Penta that he wins.
Kaiser shows it was a ruse and Kaiser gouges the eyes but Penta kicks the chair into Kaiser. Penta with more chair shots to Kaiser. Penta goes to the turnbuckles for a Destroyer onto the chair. Penta with a Penta Driver onto the chair for the three count.
Winner: Penta
Cathy interviews Penta in the aisle and she asks him about what is next for him.
Penta thanks the crowd and he says they were amazing. Penta says the Intercontinental Championship is for him. He says he does not care what he has to do.
American Made is in the back and Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio look for Chad Gable.
Rey says Gable has something coming for what he did.
Ivy says it wasn't Chad.
Lee asks if they think they are stupid
Brutus says they think they are stupid.
Rey says they will take care of it in the ring tonight.
Brutus asks them who was in the mask and they scoff at Brutus and walk away.
