WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: INSULT SOMEONE'S MANHOOD AND YOU CAN GET THEM TO SIGN A CONTRACT, , CODY SPEAKS, CODY FIGHTS, CODY SUFFERS, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2024-07-19 21:58:00

Your announcers are Corey Graves and Wade Barrett.

We begin with a look back at last week's segment with The Bloodline and Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring.

We see Terrence Crawford in the front row.

Cody asks the people of Omaha what do they want to talk about.  Cody brings up Randy Orton.  He says he calls Randy a friend and before that he was a mentor.  He picked him when he didn't have to.  He kept him when people told him to discard Cody.  Cody says he would not be champion if not for Randy.  Imagine the guilt when a man who has a lovely wife, a beautiful family, and five children who came back from a potential career ending injury to see him put through a table by this Bloodline.  Family is not always about blood.  He says Randy is family.  He is his brother.  If he were here, he wouldn't want Cody to wax poetically about their friendship.  Instead of talking about that, he wants to look into the camera and talk to the man responsible.

Solo Sikoa . . . I looked Solo in the eyes before Wrestlemania 39 and he told him that he is not ready.  You paid him back in kind by costing him the very title that he holds now.  The title they will compete for in the main event of SummerSlam.  Everything you have done to erase your name as the enforcer and make yourself the Tribal Chief, how does it feel that he is the champion and that you are now.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller make their way to the stage.

Theory says you are spending a lot of time talking about The Bloodline.  Because of you, Jacob Fatu attacked him.

Cody asks if Theory's cheek is broken because his partner kneed him in the face.

Waller talks about deflecting responsibility.  He says Theory was attacked because of Cody.  Your mentor, hero, and friend got hurt was because of you.

Cody punches and kicks Waller and then he goes after Theory.  Theory hits Cody from behind and they work over Cody.  They send Cody to the floor right in front of Terrence Crawford and he gives Cody a chair.

Cody goes into the ring and he hits Waller in the midsection and eventually in the back.  Cody with Beautiful Disaster to Theory.

We see Carmelo Hayes getting his hair styled.

He tells Andrade it is going to be them.  The people want to see who will miss first and it won't be him.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Cody is walking in the back.  Cody asks Nick for a match against Waller and Theory.

Nick says Cody needs a partner but Cody says he wants to do it on his own to send a message to the Bloodline.

Nick says he cannot have Cody wrestle two on one and he needs to find a partner by the start of the match.

We take a look a footage from Nia Jax and Michin from last week.

We see Nia Jax and Bayley in SPLIT SCREEN to talk about their SummerSlam match.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Corey mentions the Women's Title Match between Bayley and Nia Jax.

Corey asks Nia about Cleveland.

Nia says she is not listening to Corey.  She says to look at both of them and feel sorry for Bayley.  She says she will beat Bayley at SummerSlam.  She will take her title and put her down like an old, sick dog.

Bayley says that Nia hasn't changed in the ten years they have known each other.

Nia tells Bayley to address her as Queen Nia and Bayley is not interested in that.

Bayley says Nia is the same heartless person with a big mouth who acts like she owns the play.  She mentions how Nia took her out of her SummerSlam match in 2017 that changed her trajectory.  She says Nia injured her because she is big, clumsy, and reckless.

Nia says she is content being the Queen of the Ring.  She is on top and she is coming for that title because she gets to take it off of Bayley.

Bayley says she has bad news for Nia.  Bayley tells Nia to look at her and if you have changed so much since 2017, so has Bayley.  Bayley says she is walking into SummerSlam as champion and walking out as champion.  She says there is nothing that Nia can do.

Nia asks if this is over and she storms out of ROOM.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair arrive at Nick's office at the same time as Piper and Chelsea.  They both argue about who gets to talk to Nick first.

Bianca says their talk can wait so since they can't decide who talks to Nick first, they can settle it in the ring.

Match Number Two:  Bianca Belair (with Jade Cargill) versus Chelsea Green (with Piper Niven) in a Who Gets to Talk to Nick Aldis First Match

Green slaps Bianca and Belair slaps back.  Green avoids a splash in the corner and hits a drop kick.  Belair avoids UnPrettiHer and Bianca with a German suplex.  Bianca with a handspring moonsault.  Green misses a bicycle kick and Bianca gets Green up for a KOD and Green escapes and gets a near fall.  Bianca with a rollup for the three count.

Winner:  Bianca Belair

After the match, Piper and Jade get in the ring and Chelsea and Piper decide to leave.

Alba and Isla are on the GameTron and Isla says they appreciate how passionate they are about the titles.  Alba says when you have the titles, you have all the power.  Isla says they will give them a peek next week at the titles, but it won't be their rematch.

LA Knight walks in HALLWAY as he prepares for CONTRACT SIGNING.

We go to commercial.
