Welcome to my Night Two WrestleMania blog. Last night set the bar super high. Let’s see if they can meet the standard tonight. I think that they will.
Jimmie Allen opened the evening with a great job with America The Beautiful. The Kevin Hart did his intro for the evening. Then Michael Cole did an intro to welcome us and threw it to the ring where The Miz and Snoop Dogg were waiting.
After going over what happened last night, Snoop said fire it up and out come Omos. He and Brock will be something. We will know soon enough what that something is!
Omos’ reaction? Meh. Brock? The fans tried to blow the roof off of the place. He’s over like rover.
Brock charged but Omos tossed him. Brock went for a German but got an elbow and then slammed by Omos. Another slam. Omos went to work on the kidneys. Omos locked on a bearhug. Brock is making great facials selling.
Omos looks to have improved even more. He looks really intimidating and, well, competent.
Back to the bearhug for Omos. The fans got behind Brock and he got out but ate a chokeslam for two. This is like a Brock match where Brock plays the role of the victim so far.
Omos missed when he charged the corner. German number one. Then two. And a third. He went for the F5 but his back gave out. He tried again. F5! 1-2-3.
That was a hell of a lot of fun! Big dudes throwing each other around. There is a place for that in wrestling, for sure.
Brock got a big pop and headed to the back. He will probably be gone in ten minutes.
Time for the Fatal 4 Way women’s tag match.
It started out with Raquel throwing people around. Shayna came in and everyone went after her. The story is everyone should want to get them, at least the faces. Raquel and Liv did a sport where Raquel tossed Liv onto all of the others on the floor.
Finally the heels got the better of Raquel with a double team.
Natalya did a Double Sharpshooter on Green and Sonya. Before they could tap Live blasted Nattie with a knee to the face.
Ronda came back in and locked the arm bar on Shotzi. It was solid. Last night’s Four Way was crazier. Part of it was I didn’t need to see Ronda win but politically it may have been necessary. If their team was going to win, I wish Shayna would have been the one to get the tap.
After a clip showing Bobby Lashley winning the Andre Battle Royal, they brought out the man, who was carrying the trophy. He looked happy to have it.
Time for plunder, this will not be for the faint of heart. Gunther defends against Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. They threw it to Xavier Woods and his UUDD crew. Top Dolla is there. He can now say he appeared on WrestleMania! Drew won and they said he did 42% of the time.
Titus O’Neil is back on commentary.
Drew is out first. He has a sword, a kilt and flames firing off the set. Sheamus came out with The Brutes. Just like Drew, big pop. The Brutes went to the back and Sheamus made his way to the ring. The match is sponsored by Mike’s Harder. That is 100 percent on point.
And then, the music started. Kaiser did an epic intro for Gunther. The fans booed. Stop it you rat bastards. Gunther deserves praise! And to be fair, he got some when he came out.
The bell rings and the fans are LIVE for this. Gunther tells Drew and Sheamus to face off. Drew hit the champ with a dropkick and then the two threw hands.
I am not going to doing much play by play on this, I just want to watch the carnage.
They are pounding the snot out of each other and the crowd loves it. I do too. A lot are on their feet already.
Sheamus’ chest is already a hot mess. These guys are just clubbering, and I love it.
