Time for Edge vs. Fin Balor inside HELL IN A CELL!
Edge out first as Brood Edge, as Cole said. This show has been so good. If Endeavor buys it and doesn’t keep HHH as the booker, someone needs to start a company and hire him. The Demon is out next. Hug pop for the Demon. Let’s go!
The finishes have mostly been babyface friendly. This one should go the other way. Edge is almost 50 and has said he’s near the end. We just saw what happened to Shano Mac. Fin is the now. He will be here. He should win and The Demon should be protected.
They faced off and then went to plunder right away, chair vs stick.
Edge’s back is already red. Cole just said that as I typed it. The crowd wants tables. Relax. Edge used sticks to pin the Demon in the corner of the cage. Edge did a dropkick, Demon looks like a zombie. So Edge went for a table and the fans popped. Looks like Edge has a welt near his right eye.
The Demon broke free and now he is working over Edge. This Demon makes guttural sounds by the way.
Balor kicked Edge through the table. He is throwing tables at Edge and the fans don’t like it. But they did like Edge coming back and hitting The Killswitch. He can’t put him away so he grabbed a ladder and threw it in Fin’s face.
The official called for medical to come in since Demon was busted open. I don’t know if he was. Edge went for more weapons to stall for time. Edge set up a ladder and the Demon is up. Fin missed the Coup. Edge went for the Spear and hit the ladder but didn’t get pinned. Balor with a Slingblade and hits the Coup from far away but two count only.
Demon went up the ladder but Edge nailed him with a kendo stick before he could do anything. Edgocution off the ladder but TWO COUNT ONLY!
Edge set up a table, which gave Balor time to grab the stick and beat him with it. He hit chair shots and went to do a Coup off of the cell but Edge moved.
Edge hit a Spear, two count only! Edge is back up and using weapons on Fin. He is thinking Conchairto. He delivers. He robs the Demon over, 1-2-3. Edge wins.
While I wanted to see Fin win, given what was done to Beth I am fine with this finish. It was a bad ass war, as it should have been given the stakes. Great stuff.
Bianca did an interview with her little friends from earlier. She is a star. Total star.
Time for the Hall Of Fame recap.
Mike just reported Fin was legit busted open. Tough man right there.

Cody out first. Huge pop and pyro. All deserved. Dude bet on himself and no matter what happens here, he won. Big Time!
The Rhodes family is there. His daughter had on ear protection. Of course being Cody’s daughter she took them off. Luke Harper’s son is there. I will stay out of politics and just say that is an awesome gesture and great moment. Fans are into Cody big time.
HHH did an NXT staple and had a pianist play Roman’s theme. Awesome. Then his real music hit and they popped. This match can go either way. The fans appreciate how great Cody’s story is and how great Roman is, period! I agree.
I am just going to watch once the bell rings and then come back with thoughts after. I will say this. BIG FIGHT FEEL!
Once you get past being mad that Cody lost and reflect, the match was amazing. It took us on a ride. It was why we love this business.
I said all along I was so conflicted on this one. It could go either way. If Cody was going to lose, he had to come out as a winner in the process. I know pretty much everyone wanted him to win and I get that, I was rooting for it too. As Eps said today on the show, if Roman wins he will need a while to process them ruining what he wanted and then understand why they did. That’s where we are. Sami has been screwed. Cody has been screwed. Whoever beats Roman? The pop will be insane. With it be Sami? Or Roman? Or Jey? Or someone else? We will see.
And yes, we will see because after Sami’s loss and now Cody’s, we will be watching. That is the goal and that’s what they did.
They gave us our happy moment last night. They made us tune into Raw tomorrow tonight. That’s the business folks.
