We take a look at what happened with Brock Lesnar on Raw.
Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring.
Roman wants New England to acknowledge him. Where do I begin. I miss one week and it all falls apart. When you are in isolation, you do a lot of thinking. There's so many things he wanted to do and say and so many people he wanted to see. Except for two people. Two people he doesn't want to see for the rest of his life. Those people are Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman.
Brock Lesnar's music plays and he makes his way to the ring with Paul Heyman.
Paul starts to do his introduction but Brock takes the mic.
Brock does the Heyman introduction for himself. Paul says that was great and better than him.
Brock wants Roman to acknowledge him. He says Roman has a lot to say all the time and he doesn't. Last Saturday, I got what I wanted, the WWE Title. You got what you wanted. Now, why don't we give everyone what they want. Title versus title. Champ versus champ. Let's do this.
Roman looks around and says that is a good idea. Roman says it isn't his idea. This is my show. We do what I say on my time. On top of that, I don't do business with people who do business with trash like Paul Heyman.
Paul wants to know how can Roman talk about him like that. How did you get your title? How did you keep your title? I protected you from Brock, not because I thought Brock could beat you. I did it because I loved you.
Brock wants to know what did Paul say.
Paul says that while Brock was gone, he was with Roman.
Brock tells Paul to shut up.
Roman tells Brock not to talk to Paul that way.
Brock wants to know 'or what'.
Paul begs Brock not to talk to Roman that way.
Brock tells Paul to shut up and Roman with a Superman punch to Brock.
Roman leaves the ring.
Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura are in the back as Boogs gets ready for his match against Sami Zayn by playing the guitar.
We go to commercial.
Megan Morant scares Sami and brings up his match against Shinsuke Nakamura and his match tonight against Rick Boogs. Sami says that Nakamura is ducking him and he is putting Boogs in his way. Boogs is a gorilla and cannot deal with the master strategist.
Sami sees Johnny Knoxville. Sami asks Johnny why is he here and Johnny mentions he is here to see management to talk about the Royal Rumble. Sami says this isn't Jackass. You need technical wrestling skills. Johnny says all he has to do is throw someone over the top rope. Sami says that Johnny is not qualified to do it. Sami tells Johnny if he can show the elder statesman what it takes to get in, or he should stay out of the way.
Match Number One: Rick Boogs (witih Shinsuke Nakamura) versus Sami Zayn
Sami backs away from Boogs and the referee tells Boogs to back off. Boogs with an exploder and a second one. Boogs presses Zayn over his head and slams him.
We go to commercial while Boogs has an air guitar and air drum solo.
We are back and Boogs with gutwrenches and a suplex. Zayn rolls to the apron. Zayn drops Boogs on the top rope and connects with a forearm to the back of the head. Zayn chokes Boogs in the ropes. Zayn sends Boogs into the turnbuckles. Zayn goes to the turnbuckles and connects with an elbow to the head for a near fall. Zayn goes back to the turnbuckles and Boogs catches Zayn and gives him a bear hug. Boogs turns it into a delayed vertical suplex but Zayn with knees to get Boogs to his knees. Boogs holds on and hits the suplex. Boogs strums up and he follows Sami to the floor. Zayn is brought back into the ringside area and Zayn with a kick to knock him off the apron.
Nakamura has some words for Zayn but Sami gets back into the ring. Boogs with an inside cradle for the three count.
Winner: Rick Boogs
After the match, Johnny Knoxville makes his way to the ring and he pushes Zayn over the top rope to the floor.
It is announced that Johnny is now eligible to be in the Royal Rumble.
Kayla Braxton is in the back and she is with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.
Kayla asks them about their final opportunity to win the tag titles tonight in a street fight.
Woods says there are no rules in a street fight, which is typical of those street urchins. He says they have taken the proverbial bait. Kofi says they need to take the catch onto the boat. Woods says when the match reaches its conclusion, the New Day will be your actual and factual Tag Team Champions.
Smackdown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Charlotte wishes everyone a Happy New Year. Your resolutions were to eat healthy and go to the gym, like every boring person. Charlotte says her resolution is to make history. Charlotte says the Royal Rumble changes lives. Whoever wins the match gets to choose the champion of their choosing for the main event of Wrestlemania.
Charlotte wants to look a the competitors in the Royal Rumble match and we have a video package. Rhea Ripley, Nikki A.S.H., The Bellas, Shotzi, Natalya, Michelle McCool, Dana Brooke, Carmella, Zalina Vega, Mickie James, Tamina, Kelly Kelly, Aliyah, Summer Rae, Naomi, Shayna Baszler, and Lita.
Charlotte says that is a good lineup wiht up and comers and legends. Charlotte says that she is going to announce someone special who will be in the Royal Rumble match. She is a game changer, a living legend, a former Raw and Smackdown women's champion, and she is someone you all admire.
Charlotte says that she is in the Royal Rumble.
Charlotte says she will be the first champion to win the Royal Rumble and choose her opponent . . .
Naomi's music plays and she makes her way to the ring.
Naomi says hello to Charlotte. She says that Charlotte does not have to wait to Wrestlemania to face the challenger of her choosing because you can choose to face me and put your title on the line right now.
Charlotte says she knows that Naomi was the champion a few years ago, but what has she done to deserve a match with her?
Naomi says she knows she has done this . . . and she slaps Charlotte in the face. Charlotte goes after Naomi and Naomi sends Charlotte to the floor.
Match Number Two: Naomi versus Charlotte Flair in a Non Title Match
The match is joined in progress and Charlotte sends Naomi into the announce table. Charlotte gets a near fall. Charlotte sends Naomi into the turnbuckles. Naomi avoids being sent into the turnbuckles and she sends Charlotte into the turnbuckles. Naomi with a sliding clothesline for a near fall. Charlotte with a back breaker and gets a near fall. Charlotte stands on Naomi's back and chokes her in the ropes. Charlotte drives Naomi's head into the mat and then returns to the head scissors. Naomi with a bulldog into the turnbuckles and then Naomi goes to the turnbuckles. Charlotte with a boot to send Naomi to the floor. Charlotte sends Naomi into the timekeeper's area.
Naomi with a kick and a blockbuster off the ringside barrier.
Sonya comes out to stop the referee's count. She says she may have neglected to say that this match cannot be won by count out.
Charlotte with a Northern Lariat.
