WWE RAW REPORT: LESNAR HAS HIS OPPONENT FOR ROYAL RUMBLE, ALEXA RETURNS NEXT WEEK, TITLE MATCHES, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2022-01-03 22:58:00

We begin with a look at what happened in the WWE Championship Match at Day 1.

Your announcers are Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves.

They run through the card for tonight's show.

The lights go down and . . .

Paul Heyman is in the ring.

Paul introduces himself and he says tonight, as an advocate, he would like you introduce you to his client and NEW reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion of the world . . . BROCK LESNAR.

Brock pushes the title belt to Paul and then throws the ring steps into the ring.  Brock climbs the steps and takes the mic.

Brock thanks Paul.  Before we get this party started he says he would like to give a shout out to his good buddy Roman Reigns.  He is probably sitting at home tuned into Raw, tuned into the NEW WWE Champion, the real champion . . . BROCK LESNAR.  He tells Roman to get well soon.

Brock asks South Carolina to acknowledge him and he starts to laugh.  Brock says he would also like to acknowledge his advocate for advocating his free agency and for pulling all the strings to make him WWE Champion.

Paul says if you think it is interesting here, you should see what has gone on behind the scenes.  When he came to face a champion and one could not appear so why not make the Fatal Four Way a Fatal Five Way with Brock Lesnar.  All of the strings are pulled and Brock was able to enter the match.  What does Brock do as YOUR WWE Champion?  He focuses on reigning and defending.  Brock will face the man who wins the match originally announced for Day 1.

You have Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins.  You have to mention them together because they are a team.  He says it is smart for someone as dumb as Seth Rollins.  Seth is not a visionary.  If he was a visionary, he would know that his wife is going to leave him if he cannot beat Brock Lesnar.  It won't be Kevin Owens because Kevin cannot get Brock either.  Maybe they should be traded to Smackdown because there is a tribal chief who is a little vulnerable without his special advocate.

Paul says one week without him as special counsel, Roman has COVID.  You can get over the Rona, but karma is a little bitchy.

Let's talk about MVP, but let's not talk about him because no one talks about him.  Let's talk about Bobby Lashley.  They have never met before.  It is like they are avoiding each other.  The first time they met, Lashley speared Brock through that wall.  The second time they met, he hit an F5 on everyone but Lashley and Lashley speared him.  The third time they met, Lashley put Lesnar in the Hurt Lock.  It didn't look like Brock was going to get out and it is a testament to how good Lashley is.  Lashley was hitting Brock from the blindside or behind.

If they meet at the Royal Rumble, they will have to meet face to face and that is an entirely different story.  He will go down as a Brock Lesnar wannabe.

Paul says he has nothing bad to say about Big E.  He was a great champion.  He is a credit to the company, the audience, and the WWE Universe.  Big E would still be champion if he did not have to step into the ring with Brock Lesnar.  If Big E wins and gets a rematch, it will be an honor to witness that match.  You are going to lose, which is no shame.  It would be an honor to see you lose to the greatest WWE Champion.

Randy Orton is in gorilla position and Riddle shows up and he is blinged up.
