WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: A CONTRACT SIGNING, A VEHICULAR JOURNEY TO A LOCAL MEDICAL FACILITY, A TITLE MATCH, AND A CHALLENGE MADE AND ACCEPTED

We begin with a video package remembering the events of September 11, 2001.

We are in New York and your announcers are Michael Cole and Pat McAfee.

Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring and he is joined by Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Paul Heyman.

Roman asks Paul when it comes to sports entertainment, WWE runs New York City.  Who runs WWE?  Paul says Roman runs WWE.  Roman says the tribal chief and bloodline runs WWE.  Therefore, the Tribal Chief runs New York City.  That means the Tribal Chief runs Madison Square Garden.  Roman wants the arena to acknowledge Roman.  

Brock Lesnar's music plays and he makes his way to the ring, right off the farm.

Paul has a question for Brock.  With all of the titles available, why go after the Universal Title?

Brock says he has a question for Paul.  Why didn't you tell Roman I was going to be at SummerSlam.

Roman does not like Paul's explanation and then Roman leaves the ring while Brock is chuckling.

Brock and Paul are in the ring together.

Paul introduces himself and he says for twenty years, he was the advocate for Brock Lesnar.  

Brock takes the mic and he tells Paul that was great.  It was just like old times.  

Brock says before Roman fires you, accept my challenge, please.

Paul asks what challenge and Brock says his match for the Universal Title.  

Brock tells Paul he has five seconds.

Brock gets Paul up but Roman is back in the ring and hits a Superman punch.  Brock avoids a second one and he gets Roman up.  The Usos stop Brock and then Brock with a double clothesline and German suplexes to Jimmy and Jey.

We see the two sides in the ten man tag match walking in the hallway like the Sharks and the Jets.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Roman leads his family in the back and Kayla Braxton ambushes them and Jimmy, Jey, and Roman walk into the locker room.  Paul is asked if Roman is going to answer Brock's challenge.  Paul says with everything going on, Kayla is standing around trying to ambush them and ask these questions.  Brock will answer the challenge when he is ready to answer the challenge.

Sami Zayn interrupts Nakamura's entrance and he says he loves New York while wearing a Knicks jersey.  He says they have a special guest who knows about winning in Madison Square Garden.  Sami brings out Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks.

Match Number One:  Big E, Rick Boogs, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Mysterio, and Dominik Mysterio versus Apollo Crews, Otis Dozovic, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, and Sami Zayn (with Chad Gable and Commander Azeez)

Nakamura and Ziggler start things off and Nakamura with forearms and an axe kick.  Nakamura kicks Roode.  Otis with a forearm and he sends Nakamura to the floor.  Nakamura with a kick to Gable on the floor.  Otis knocks Nakamura off the apron and into the announce table.  Nakamura gets back into the ring and Otis stands on Nakamura.  Otis with an Irish whip and a splash into the corner.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and Nakamura with a round kick to Zayn and both men are down.  Rey tags in and he hits a seated splash and he knocks Roode off the apron.  Rey with a back heel kick to Sami followed by a Code Red for a near fall.  Apollo with an enzuigiri to Dominik.  Boogs with an exploder to Crews.  Otis knocks Boogs down.  Nakamura takes care of Otis.  Big E with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on Ziggler.  Rey sends Ziggler into the ropes and Zayn trips Rey.  Sami chokes Rey in the ropes and Young chokes Rey in front of the referee.  

Trae is sent to the back with a Flagrant Foul 2.  

Dominik drops Sami on the top rope and Rey drop kicks Sami in the back.  Big E tags in and Rey and Dominik with stereo 619s and then Big E with a Big Ending to Sami for the three count.

Winners:  Rick Boogs, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, and Big E

After the match, Kayla asks Big E about their victory.  Big E says they had a hell of a team, like the Knicks.  Kayla asks Big E what is next for him.  Big E says you know what is next for him.  This might not be the last time you see me out here.  Whether it is Bobby Lashley or Roman Reigns, if you have what I need, I am coming for your neck.  It might be next Monday on Raw or it could be any night.  If you have what I need, you gonna feel his power.

Bianca Belair makes her way to the ring because it is CONTRACT SIGNING TIME.

We go to commercial.

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville join Bianca in the ring with the carpet and table.  Adam says when Bianca signs the contract, the match will be official.

Bianca comments on being in Madison Square Garden.  The last time I was in the ring with Becky, I didn't expect a title match but we know how great Becky is.  Bianca says she respect Becky as a competitor and a new mom.  She respected how Becky would never run from a fight.  My have things changed.  She got her at SummerSlam.  Becky brings up the 26 seconds because if they went toe to toe, the outcome would be different.  Bianca says she does not respect Becky as much as she did.  Bianca says Becky can win back some respect while I win back my championship.

Bianca signs the contract.

Becky Lynch's music plays and she makes her way to the ring and she has a snuffleupagus on her back.

Becky says the original Wrestlemania main eventer is here.  She asks ESTer when she knew she had her number.  it was when my music played and you were starstruck.  There is nothing wrong with being in the crowd with everyone.  Becky says she would give Bianca her match.  Maybe it was going to be tonight and I would have beaten her in 20 seconds.  Becky asks what happens if she doesn't sign the contract?

Sonya tells Becky to sign the contract.  Bianca tells Becky to sign the damn contract.  

Becky complains about the fans chanting 'sign it'.  You were chanting "We Want Becky" when I was at home.  Then I came back on last minute notice and saved your asses.  I beat the champion in 26 seconds and this is how you treat me?  I left my baby girl at home for you and you are favoring a flash in the pan over me?

Becky says if you can't join them, beat them.  I will give you the match and it will end the same way.

Becky signs the contract and tosses it to Bianca.  

We go to commercial.
