CAN KROSS HOLD ON AGAINST FOUR OTHER MEN, TITLE TIME, WHO WILL HOLD THE MILLION DOLLAR BELT, CAN XIA LI TAKE THE NEXT STEP, THE CHAMPS PUT THEIR TITLES ON THE LINE AGAINST HEELS THAT PUT NOTHING ON THE LINE: FULL NXT TAKEOVER IN YOUR HOUSE BLOG

Welcome to my NXT Takeover In Your House blog.  After Sam Roberts was actually the tallest guy in the pre-game show, we went live.  Todd Pettengill is here and is happy to be home.  Naomi Fox, I think that was her name, sang.  Then we opened with Bronson Reed and MSK defending their Titles against Legado Del Fantasma in a winner take all match.  Why the champs would agree to this, other than hubris and the old “babyfaced will fight anyone” trope, beats me.  But here we go.  The faces are in full control early.

After they did an “everyone hits big spots to the floor” spot, which Bronson Reed was the last one to hit his move, the heels took control.  Wes Lee is taking the beatdown while his partner is on the floor.  Bronson Reed wants the tag, and he got it.  He was in control for a while but then the heels tool over.  They got a little on the faces but then Escobar went to grab the Title belts on the floor and Reed smashed him through the barricade.  MSK came in and laid out Mendoza and Reed hit Tsunami on him and got the pin.  This wasn’t a squash but it was kind of close.  I think Fantasma deserves better but when the faces agreed to the stip without the heels putting anything on the line I had a feeling that they would be fodder.  They were.

They showed Kyle O’Reilly arriving and he got into it with The Way, but it was broken up before it got out of hand.

They had Todd Pettengill show he is old and out of touch trying to play a video of Mercedes Martinez beating Xia Lee at the Mae Young classic.  They are up next.

Li is in control early.  She is working over the woman who beat her at the tournament.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, they have the largest crowd every at the CWC.

Liis working her over big time but then fell into a trap and blasted her leg into the post.  Mercedes is taking advantage now.  She hit the Cliffhanger but Li kicked out at 2.  Li was hurting so Boa saved her on the floor.  Martinez chased and grabbed her.  She went for Air Raid Crash but Li kicked her instead and got the pin.  The work was good but as I said in the Tip Sheet Li had to win here so it took the suspense out of the match.  They sold that Li avenged the Mae Young Classic match that most people didn’t even know about.  So after the match, Boa gave Li a chair.  Before she could use it, Mercedes grabbed it and used it on both Li and Boa.  She destroyed Li with the chair and then the crazy woman mess with the lights and did smoke.  Mercedes said she wasn’t scared.  Lilly, er the Crazy woman, got up.  Mercedes challenged her.  She approached and grabbed Mercedes by the throat.  She used the chair to get her off, but the crazy woman overpowered her and tossed her off the stage, into the wall.  Mae Ying is now a worker it seems.  She may also be Lilly.  Stay tuned.

Ciampa and Tim are on our screen.  They aren’t happy.  They will break the legs of the GYV on Tuesday.  I want to see that.  I believe in Ciampa and Tim.

We find out who will win the Million Dollar Belt next.

Ted is out with his security guards and the belt.  LA Knight and Cameron Grimes will try and climb the ladder and win the Title. Knight out first.  Grimes got the babyface pop when he came out.  That is why he should lose.

Grimes just came back and said kiss my grits as he shook his ass at Knight.  This really feels like an In Your House.  Should I be Beware Of Dog?

In any event, Knight is in control early on.  He is working over the babyface.

They did a dueling ladder spot. I always enjoy those.  Grimes used a landed in the ring and drove Knight into the barricade.  Ouch.  But, he chased to the floor and then ate some plexiglass.  Wade Barrett called him a dope, in so many words, and he was.  That turned the tide.  He beat up Grimes in front of Ted Dibiase.  But that let Grimes come back for a second.  But then Knight threw Grimes through a barricade.  He set up a ladder rather than use it.  But he managed to keep control.

Grimes tried to come back but Knight hit a Cutter on the Grimes on a ladder.  Ouch.

Knight, who has been in control most of the way, brought in a big ladder.  He went to set it up and Grimes popped back up.  He is purely working babyface here.  If he wins, why would he want a heel belt?  I guess we will see.
