Ring announcer Larry Legend noted that Janela cannot be with them tonight (due to his recovery from knee surgery) but said everything tonight is direct from Janela to the fans. He said there would be some card changes tonight but they believed the fans would enjoy them. Janela is live tweeting the show at this link.
Tonight's announcing is done by Kevin Gill. I've always liked his delivery so this was a nice surprise.
The Great Sasuke vs. DJ Z
DJ Z is substitutuing for The Amazing Red, who was unable to fly out of New York City due to the storm that caught the city completely unaware and pretty much screwed up everything yesterday.
DJ Z was wearing a mask created by Sasuke mentor Kendo. Early on DJ Z screwed with him and played the DJ noise. Sasuke got inside DJ Z's head but was caught with a side headlock. DJ Z was sent into the ropes and shoulderblocked him down. They went back and forth until Sasuke shoved DJ Z off the top rope, sending him careening into fans sitting on a stage area next to the ring. Sasauke tried to come off the top with a senton, but DJ Z moved and Sasuke crashed and burned hard on the ring apron.
Back in the ring Z drilled Sasuke hard with a pair of stiff lariats, telling the "old man" to stay down. Sasuke came back with a series of kicks but was caught with a big leaping lariat for a two count. Sasuke's mask was ripped at before DJ Z locked in an armbar. DJ Z nailed a Codebreaker before jawing with the fans. Sasuke made a comeback and locked in an abdominal stretch, before hitting a piledriver for a near fall. Sasuke sent to the top for a swanton, but DJ Z pulled his knees up. Z went to where the sound system was set up on a stage adjacent to the stage and ran off, hitting a tornado DDT into the ring for a close near fall. Cool spot.
DJ Z rolled for a move but was caught and planted with a powerbomb. Sasuke went to the top but was nailed with a senton and pinned.
Your winner, The Great Sasuke!
A solid opener. The crowd was really happy to see Sasuke. He worked hard and is great shape given his age and the mileage on his body. In fact, he worked WAY harder than he ever needed to. DJ Z looked like a million bucks here and worked really hard. He wore a mask the entire time and that added a different aura to his ring precense. Enjoyable stuff.
Sasuke is rushing right back to the airport to catch a flight to Japan, by the way.
Jungle Boy vs. Tony Deppen
Deppen played a role where he was basically Booger from Revenge of the Nerds, being disgusting. He blew a snot rocket on Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy's deal is pretty self-explanatory. He's actually the son of actor Luke Perry and trains at the Santino Brother's school in California.
They had a nice back and forth sequence including Boy doing spots right out of Tarzan where he would land on his feet. He has a good, young, likeable look. Deppen caught him with a hard chop and worked him over, then snotted at the first row. That's horrible.
Jungle Boy was sent into the ropes but turned it into a head scissors takedown, Jungle nailed a number of springboard moves that really got the crowd into the match, leading to him nailing a dropkick. The crowd changted for Jungle Boy. He nailed a rana over the top, taking Deppen with him but Deppen landed on his feet and held onto Jungle, nailing a powerbomb into the ringpost. Deppen returned to the ring and hit a dive into the crowd on Jungle Boy. They brawled through the building and it was a fun, chaotic throwback scene. Jungle Boy hit an Asai Moonsault to Deppen on the outside stage.
Deppen nailed Jungle Boy and choked him in the corner. Jungle Boy made a comeback. They fired back and forth with chops. Jungle Boy caught him with a sit-out powerbomb for a two count. Boy took a drink from a ringside fan. You're killing your gimmick, kid! He charged Deppen in the corner but ate an elbow. Jungle Boy hit a cutter for a two count. Jungle Boy went for a 450 splash off the top but Deppen moved. Jungle Boy rolled through and charged but ate a hell of a knee strike for a close two count. Deppen looked frustrated.
Deppen worked over Jungle Boy with a series of strikes. Deppen drilled Boy with a chop. Jungle Boy responded in kind. Jungle Boy nailed a series of forearm strikes. They continued battering each other. Deppen went for a DVDR but Jungle Boy escaped and nailed a reverse rana. Jungle Boy elevated him to the top rope and went for a back superplex. Deppen fired back but was drilled across the back. Jungle Boy hit a move that came off like a rollup, sending Deppen crashing down into the mat for another close two count.
Jungle Boy went for a move but Deppen slipped out, rolled him up and hooked the tights for the pin.
Your winner, Tony Deppen!
The fans chanted for Jungle Boy and chanted for him to "Please come back."
A good, physical match. Deppen played the sleazebag heel role well. There's a LOT of potential in Jungle Boy.
Brody King vs. Bob Holly
They locked up. King backed Holly, who looked to be in good shape, into the corner and let him go clean. King maintained control on Holly early on. The match was slow and one-sided early on. Holly made a comeback and drilled King with shots across the back and kicks to the face. King caught him with a slam, the followed up with another. King rebounded off the ropes and hit a back senton splash. Holly exploded with a spear out of nowhere for a two count. That was the biggest spring in Holly's step thus far.
KIng nailed a suplex. They began drilling each other hard with chops across the chest. They were nasty, nasty shots. The stream went out at the building, FITE is working to get it back.
Live, KIng survives several Alabama Slams and came back with a lariat to score the pin.

They shook hands after the match in a show of respect. Holly took the ring mic and thanked everyone, then put over King as a bad SOB. Holly joked he's not as big as he used to be because he's not "on the gas."
I can't comment on the bout as I didn't see all of it, but the action I did see was OK.
CZW Hall of Famer and all around great guy Nick Mondo is visiting at the show.
The Human Tornado vs. Penelope Ford
Human Tornado is a longtime California talent probably best remembered for Wrestling Society X. Ford has broken out in the last year and worked the All In and NWA 70 events in recent months.
The early portion of the bout was Tornado manhandling her and physically treating her like he was toying with her. Ford shocked him with a takedown and cinched in a front facelock. Tornado placed her on the top rope and patted her on the boobs. She slapped him, then used a lucha style armdrag off the top. She knocked Tornado out of the ring with a head scissor takedown. He returned to the ring apron on the stage side. Ford charged for a dive but he cut her off in the ropes and nailed a hard suplex on the stage. It sounded like a nasty fall. Tornado worked her over with several punches then tossed her hard into the ring. She got caught up in the ropes and was grabbing at her knee when she got into the ring.
Tornado stomped her in the mid-section and tossed her hard into the corner. He did his dancing into the kicks in the corner. He did the John Cena "You can't see me" motion, then hit a running bootscrape in the corner. Tornado slammed her but Ford still kicked up. Tornado continued working her over. The crowd chanted for Ford. Tornado suplexed Ford for another two count. Ford finally avoided a leaping kick in the corner. Ford nailed a series of kicks and hit a hard German suplex into the turnbuckles for a two count.
Ford went to the top for a flying bodypress but was backslapped down for a two count. Ford was worked over but kept kicking out. He cinched in a rear chinlock. Ford was worked over for a long time but Ford kept kicking out. In fact, it may have been too long. Tornado brought her to the top but she nailed a Sliced Bread #2 to turn the tide and score a two count. Ford finally came back and scored the pin to a nice big pop.

Ford took a hell of a beating here. It was a little uncomfortable to watch at times but I give her a lot of credit for what she's willing to put herself through. She got a big reaction for her win, so they told the right story and got the big pop. Tornado played a good heel, basically disrespecting her and manhandling her when he was in control of the match. He did a good job in that role.
