Match Number Six: Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Dean Ambrose versus Wade Barrett, Sheamus, and Rusev
Jimmy and Sheamus start things off and Jimmy with a waist lock. Sheamus with an elbow to get out of the hold. Sheamus with a side head lock take down. Jimmy gets to his feet and Jimmy with a leg lariat and Sheamus goes to the floor. Jimmy sets for a dive but Sheamus with a double sledge. Sheamus is clotheslined over the top rope to the floor. Jey tags in and they hit a double drop kick that sends Sheamus to the floor. Rusev comes in and gets a double atomic drop. Ambrose tags in and hits a missile drop kick.
While Sheamus, Rusev, and Barrett talk strategy on the floor he lays down on the mat and then he goes after Sheamus and kicks him in the injured leg and sends him back into the ring. Dean with kicks and then he tags in Jey who chops Sheamus. Sheamus with an Irish whip and Jey slides into the corner and Jey with an uppercut. Sheamus with a boot to Jey and Rusev tags in.
Rusev kicks Jey and punches him. Jey blocks a punch and punches Rusev and hits a shoulder in the corner. Jimmy tags in and hits a forearm in the corner. Jimmy with a chop but Rusev hip tosses Jimmy into the turnbuckles and Jimmy holds his knee. Rusev with elbow drops to the injured leg as we go to commercial.
We are back and Rusev tags in and he kicks Jimmy. Rusev sends Jimmy into the corner and Sheamus punches Jimmy and then Rusev kicks Jimmy. Rusev puts Jimmy’s leg on the rope and he kicks Jimmy in the leg. Rusev with a single leg crab on Jimmy. Rusev misses an elbow drop to the leg.
Sheamus tags in and he kicks Jimmy. Sheamus kicks Jimmy in the chest and punches him. Jimmy with a kick and he goes for the dragon whip but he misses the first time. He connects the second time and both men are down. Ambrose and Rusev tag in and Ambrose with chops and punches. Ambrose with running forearms followed by a shoulder in the corner and a bulldog. Ambrose sends Rusev to the floor and then Ambrose with a suicide dive onto Rusev.
Ambrose sends Rusev back in and Sheamus grabs the leg. Ambrose kicks Sheamus away and Jey with a plancha onto Sheamus. Ambrose with a swinging neck breaker and he goes up top for the elbow to the chest and he gets a near fall. Barrett distracts Ambrose and Rusev with a jumping side kick and we go to commercial.
We are back and Rusev with a uranage on Ambrose for a near fall. The crowd does the wave and then Sheamus, Rusev, and Barrett do their own wave. Rusev goes to the turnbuckles and he misses a diving head butt. Jey and Sheamus tag in and Jey with clotheslines followed by a Samoan drop. Jey with a running butt splash into the corner and he connects. Rusev breaks up the cover and he sends Jey shoulder first into the ring post. Dean takes care of Rusev and they go over the top rope. Sheamus misses a Brogue Kick and Jey with a kick to Sheamus. Barrett distracts Jey long enough to allow Sheamus to get his knees up on the Superfly splash. Sheamus with the Brogue Kick for the three count.
Winners: Sheamus, Rusev, and Wade Barrett
After the match, Kevin Owens comes out and he takes Dean Ambrose and sends him into the ring steps. Owens adjusts the announce table. Ambrose is sent into the ringside barrier before he is power bombed through the table.
The officials check on Ambrose.
We go to Renee Young outside the police station waiting for an update.
We go to commercial.
We are back and we are reminded that the Rock will be at Wrestlemania.
We see what is left of the announce table after Dean Ambrose was power bombed through it by Kevin Owens before the commercial.
We are back and Renee mentions that Vince McMahon has posted bail. Coincidentally they are about to leave the police station. Vince and Stephanie walk past Renee and they drive away.
John Cena makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.
He says we have a US Open Challenge, but there is a problem. The United States Champion is Alberto Del Rio. The only thing the League Of Nations care about is everything but the country we are in tonight, the United States. John asks if Alberto has defended the United States title on Raw? No. John says it was exciting every week. The kids were excited, the adults not so much. We had new challengers every week.
John says with the cheers and the boos, the good times and the bad, every week he came out and busted his butt to give you what you deserved. You guys deserve a championship effort. Tonight, Alberto Del Rio will not put the US Title on the line. It is a disgrace to the championship of the United States of America. It is a disgrace to each and every one of you.
Alberto Del Rio comes out and he asks John if he is upset because the champ is here. Alberto says what you call disrespectful, he calls intelligent. He chooses his opponents and he chooses when he defends his title. This place and these people do not deserve to have a United States Title Match.
Cena calls Del Rio an idiot. He tells Alberto to look at this sea of people. Every seat is filled. Can you hear the noise. If you believe in anything the WWE stands for, if there is a place for a championship match, it is right here, right now.
Cena says he gets it because Alberto knows that John will embarrass him and win the title.
Alberto asks why would he be afraid of him. The last time in the ring, he kicked John’s head off his shoulders. He took his title and he sent John home.
John says you haven’t done anything since. You are a champion, he is a challenger and put the title on the line for the last Raw of 2015. Or are you just a little punk bitch?
Alberto tells Juan Cena he knows what he is trying to do. Alberto says he will get a fight right here, right now. It won’t be for the title.
John says it is okay and he figured as much. John says he knows what will happen next. You are going to come down here and attack me because that is the way you are. You beat me with a lucky kick and you are a one hit wonder who lost his manhood.
John says that the crowd is tougher than Alberto.
Alberto says he is more man than you will ever be. Alberto is the man who won the title by himself. Alberto says that he is the man and by himself, he will send you home tonight, for good. If you want a title match, you got it.
We go to commercial.
We are back with a tribute to Lemmy, who passed away earlier today.
Match Number Seven: John Cena versus Alberto Del Rio for the United States Title
Del Rio with kicks to the leg and he gets a near fall. Del Rio sends Cena into the corner and he kicks Cena in the leg. Del Rio chokes Cena and then he punches Cena on the turnbuckles. Del Rio with a snap mare and drop kick to the back of the head and he gets a near fall. Del Rio taunts Cena and he punches Cena. Del Rio connects with a boot to the chest and Cena is down and the referee checks on him.
Del Rio with another kick and he sends Cena into the ring post. Cena is sent back into the ring and Del Rio goes up top. Del Rio with a double sledge to Cena and gets a near fall. Del Rio with a rear chin lock. Del Rio with a kick to the leg and Cena falls into the ropes. Del Rio goes for a splash to the back but Cena moves and Del Rio goes to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are abck and Del Rio with a kick but Cena with a suplex. Cena with a shoulder tackle and Cena misses the second one when Del Rio ducks. Del Rio with an enzuigiri to Cena on the apron and then Del Rio gets a near fall. Del Rio goes up top and he is met with a drop kick as Del Rio comes off the turnbuckles.
Cena with two flying shoulder tackles and then he hits the Blue Thunder Bomb. Cena signals for the Five Knuckle Shuffle and he connects. Cena gets Del Rio on his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment but Del Rio gets back to his feet and he hits a lungblower. Del Rio goes for a punch but Cena with a take down and he puts Del Rio in the STF. Cena pulls Del Rio into the center of the ring but Del Rio gets to his feet and he hits a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall.
Del Rio signals for the cross arm breaker but Cena hits a tornado DDT and he gets a near fall. Cena gets Del Rio on his shoulders but Del Rio counters into the cross arm breaker. Cena rolls over and he picks up Del Rio with a one arm power bomb to escape. Cena gets Del Rio on his shoulders and the referee gets knocked down.
Cena with a drop toe hold and Cena puts Del Rio in the STF but since the referee is on the floor, no official assigned to the match saw it happen. Cena looks at the referee and that means that Sheamus comes out and distracts Cena to allow Rusev to hit the jumping thrust kick. Rusev puts Del Rio on top of Cena and Cena kicks out at two.
Sheamus and Rusev get in the ring and Rusev picks up Cena. Sheamus sets for a Brogue Kick but Cena moves and Rusev is hit with the Brogue Kick. Cena gives Sheamus an Attitude Adjustment and Del Rio with a lungblower and super kick but the referee is too dazed to make a fast enough count to give Del Rio the three count.
Del Rio thinks about what he has to do to beat Cena and he goes for the float over but Cena gets Del Rio on his shoulders and hits the Attitude Adjustment. Rusev and Sheamus attack Cena and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: John Cena (by disqualification)
After the match, Rusev attacks Cena and this time when Rusev holds Cena for the Brogue Kick and he connects.
The Usos come to the ring, with musical accompaniment, but they are stopped by Sheamus, Rusev, and Del Rio.
Sheamus gets a chair from ringside and we see Reigns with a spear to Rusev and a Superman punch to Del Rio hanging over the middle rope.
Sheamus has the chair on the apron and Reigns gets in the ring. Sheamus comes at Reigns with the chair but Reigns with a Superman punch and he hits Sheamus with the chair.
Vince McMahon’s music plays and he makes his way onto the stage. Vince says he is going to sue the City of New York and if he could, he would sue each and every one of you. Vince says he knows how long Roman will be champion.
Next week, you defend the WWE Championship against Sheamus. There will be a guest referee and his name is Vincent Kennedy McMahon.
Vince wishes everyone a Happy New Year.
