Team Tremendous found contraband on the referee and sent him to the back. They said they had a referee who was extreme and notorious for calling it right down the middle. Bill Alfonso? Nope, it was The Sandman! Sandman did his big entrance and then poured beer all over Dalishus' valets before throwing them out of ringside.
There were some silly shenanigans early. Ortiz used his power to work over Cabana. Cabana made a comeback and tagged in Bill Carr. The villains trapped Carr in their corner and worked him over. Koduma tagged in, as did Kingston. Kingston tried to bully him in the ring. They went to lock up and Kingston drilled him with a knee to the gut. Kingston unloaded with chops and whipped Koduma into the ropes but was caught with a leaping rana. Koduma came off the top but was caught and nailed with an exploder-style suplex.
Team Kingston continued to tag in and out working over Koduma, including a LOOONG delayed vertical suplex for a two count. Collins nailed a big top rope elbow for a two count. Koduma tried to mount a comeback but was cut off by Ortiz. Bill Carr finally made the hot tag and nailed leaping rana on Ortiz, then another. Sandman ran around the ring in circles, shocked. They went into a series of dives that the live crowd loved. Cababa climbed to the top, then climbed down on the outside and fell off the apron. Carr then hit a BIG tope con hilo to the outside. That left Eddie Kingston in the ring. He teased a dive, then gave the crowd the finger. Dan Barry nailed a top rope dropkick.
Carr nailed Vik with a big superkick Kingston caught him with a side salto suplex. Cabana nailed some clubbering elbows. Everyone masscared everyone else. Ben Ortiz went to the top but jawed with a fan. That allowed Team Tremendous to nail him with their finisher and score the pin.
Your winners, Team Tremendous & Colt Cabana & Yusuke Koduma!
Far and away the most entertaining thing on either HOH show this weekend so far. Really great, spot on mix of highspots, comedy and wrestling.
Alex Reynolds vs. JT Dunn vs. Tomasso Ciampa
Ciampa got a really nice reaction from the NYC fans. Reynolds played heel early on. Dunn worked over Ciampa and went for a superplex but Reynolds slipped underneath and scored with a powerbomb at the same time. He scored several near falls on Dunn, who fired back with chops and forearms.
Dunn was sent to the floor and landed with a nasty splat. Ciampa cut off Reynolds and nailed a big clothesline. Lots of fast paced offense here from all sides. Ciampa drilled Dunn with a running knee, sending him to the floor. Ciampa worked over Reynolds and nailed a running knee to the head several times.
Dunn caught Reynolds with a reverse rana and nailed Ciampa with an RKO for near falls. Dunn continued drilling them. Ciampa caught them both with a big bridged German suplex. Ciampa cleaned house and came off the ropes with a Emerald Frozion variation. Reynolds grabbed Dunn but was drilled with a roaring elbow for a three count.
Alex Reynolds is eliminated.
Ciampa drilled Dunn and nailed him with Project Ciampa, scoring the pin. Lots of stuff that was too fast to type.
Your winner, Tomasso Ciampa!
A really, really good match with lots of stiff wrestling and state of the art spots.
Sabu vs. Abyss in a Monster's Ball Match.
Sabu demanded to be introduced again. Abyss took the mic and asked what about him and then said he'd going to kick Sabu's ass whether NYC likes it or not.
Abyss worked over Sabu early and they brawled to the floor. Sabu pulled out a trash can and used it on Abyss, then grabbed a chair and used it. Abyss began chasing people around ringside and went under the ring. He pulled out a big piece of wood and placed it in the corner against the ringpost outside. He tried to send Sabu into it but Sabu stopped short, nailed Abyss and hit a Russian Legsweep into the board, breaking it.
Sabu used a chair to nail Air Sabu into a clothesline in the corner. Abyss came back with a clothesline. Abyss brought a bag into the ring but Sabu threw a chair at his head. Abyss nailed Sabu with a right hand and poured tacks in the ring. He grabbed Sabu for a chokeslam but Sabu broke free and worked over Abyss with right hands and several clotheslines. Abyss grabbed Sabu and chokeslammed him on the tacks. Sabu had a TON of tacks in his back.
Abyss went for an Earthquake splash but Sabu grabbed the chair and turned it sideways, causing him to crotch himself. Sabu worked over Abyss and nailed him hard with a chair. Abyss grabbed him for a slam into a wooden board placed in the corner but Sabu freed himself and nailed Abyss with the chair. Sabu reversed a whip but the board slipped. Abyss slammed Sabu across the back, nailing him down to the floor.
Abyss drilled the chair across Sabu's back, which was still full of tacks. He went for another chokeslam but Sabu stomped his feet, then dove off the chair with a bodypress, crashing Abyss through the board, shattering it and scoring the pin.
Your winner, Sabu!
<It was your typical Monster's Ball with a few twists, including no tables and Sabu taking the tacks. At times, it was pretty rough to watch.
