Monster’s Ball: Abyss vs. Tommy Dreamer
Abyss came to the ring first. The crowd chanted, “F*** TNA†before dying down. He asked the crowd if they were through. The chant started again. Abyss asked if this was Philadelphia, the birthplace of extreme and hardcore. The crowd chanted “ECW.†He said, “You people just can’t get over it, can you? You just can’t leave it in the past.†He said that what the fans were about to witness is the future because ECW is dead. He said what they were going to witness was his match, the Monster’s Ball, which belongs to Dixie Carter and “the greatest wrestling organization ever, TNA.†He began chanting the letters.
Tommy Dreamer came out and began brawling with Abyss. Abyss cut him off and stomped the hell out of him but Dreamer fired back with a series of rights. He avoided an Abyss charge in the corner and kicked Abyss in the inside of his leg, sending him to the outside. He hit a sliding kick to the outside.
Dreamer grabbed a fan’s drink and blew mist at Abyss like Great Muta. They brawled all over the ringside area. Dreamer nailed Abyss with a replica ECW belt, which the crowd popped huge for. Dreamer set a table standing up against the ringpost. He nailed Abyss and placed the ring bell over his groin, then nailed the bell with a hammer several times.
They continued battling on the outside but Abyss drilled Dreamer into the guard rail to cut off his offense. The crowd chanted for Dreamer to make a comeback but Abyss kept working over him. The battle on the outside continued.
Abyss tossed Dreamer back into the ring and whipped him hard into the buckles. Abyss placed a chair on Dreamer’s chest and went for an Earthquake splash but Dreamer turned the chair so Abyss crotched himself. Dreamer was cut off and Abyss went under the ring, where he pulled out a chair wrapped in barbed wire. He began drilling Dreamer with it. He went to do the Earthquake splash again but again Dreamer turned it around.
Dreamer fired up with a series of right hands. He nailed a big clothesline. Dreamer nailed him with a trash can and it didn’t make a sound so the crowd wasn’t happy. Dreamer followed up with some stuff chair shots to appease them. Dreamer grabbed the ring bell hammer and charged Abyss but was caught with a Black Hole Slam for a two count. The crowd chanted for Dreamer.
Abyss went under the ring and grabbed a bag of thumb tacks. He spread them on the mat and place Dreamer on the top. Abyss followed and teased a superplex. Dreamer fought his way out with a series of rights and sent Abyss down into the tacks. Dreamer nailed a DDT for a two count.
Dreamer pulled some barbed wire out from under the ring. Dreamer set it up in the middle of the ring but was grabbed for a chokeslam. Dreamer fought his way out with some big punches and went for a Spicoli Driver. Abyss slipped out and went for a chokeslam. Dreamer bit his hand. Abyss nailed a Black Hole Slam into the barbed wire. Dreamer got his shoulder up. Abyss killed him with a big chokeslam into the tacks and pinned Dreamer.

Abyss took the ring mic and said that he was the new king of hardcore wrestling. He said that as for Dreamer and all his ECW rejects, there’s only one company that rules – TNA. Some fans were chanting “CZW†which I thought was funny.
The Sandman made his grand entrance to “Enter Sandman.: He caned Abyss out of the ring and dared him to return. He waited for Dreamer to recover and then gave him a beer. Dreamer took it but full of tacks, was too banged up to make a toast and returned to the locker room. Sandman played to the crowd before returning as well.
Tony Nese & Petey Williams vs. Bad Influence
They all showed each other respect at the onset.
Daniels and Nese opened up. They went back and forth with some really nice wrestling. It was good stuff. Kazarian and Williams then went back and forth. Daniels kicked Williams as he rebounded but Williams knocked him off the apron. Williams attempted a Canadian Destroyer on Kaz but it was blocked and Kaz drilled him.
Bad Influence began picking apart Williams, taking turned beating him down. Chris Daniels picked up Kaz and dropped him down atop of Williams for a two count. Nese tried to help his partner but the referee forced him back to the corner, allowing Influence to stomp the hell out of Williams.
Daniels picked up Williams and held him for a delayed vertical suplex. Williams caught the just tagged in Kaz with a small package but the referee was arguing with Daniels and missed it. Kaz choked Petey against the ropes. They continued beating down Petey, scoring two counts.
They kept savaging Williams. Kaz went to the top but missed an Alabama Jam. Nese makes the hot tag and began beating the hell out of Daniels. Kaz tried to interfere and was nailed. Nese nailed a springboard moonsault for a two count. He nailed a reverse flip to the outside on Kaz, then hit a bodypress off the ropes.
Bad Influence finally caught him and nailed a double elevated sitdown powerbomb for a two count. Williams returned and drilled Daniels with all sorts of wacky offense. He gave Daniels a gutbuster for a two count. The crowd began chanting, “This is awesome.†Williams locked in the Sharpshooter on Kaz. Nese locked Daniels in a submission as well.
Daniels escaped and nailed big uppercut on Nese, then nailed Williams. He went for Angel’s Wings but Petey nailed a rana. They went back and forth with all sorts of spots. Petey nailed a dive to the outside, landing on Daniels’ shoulders and hitting a rana. They went back and forth. Daniels nailed Angel’s Wings but Nese broke up the piun at two.
Nese hit all this insane kicks and strikes. He picked up Daniels and nailed a one-armed powerbomb in the corner, then went to the top for a 450 splash. Kaz cut him off and nailed The Flux Capacitor. Williams nailed the Destroyer on Kaz. Daniels nailed Williams with the Best Moonsault Ever and scored the pin.

Really fun tag match. They put a lot of heat on Williams to expertly allow Nese, easily the most spectacular of the quartet in terms of big flashy moves at this juncture, to whip out all this insane stuff for the hot tag, then they went into this beautiful final sequence. Plus, the villains won so the babyface team gets the sympathy. Just awesome.
The crowd gave them a huge standing ovation as all four saluted each other. The crowd chanted, "Thank you" and then broke out in a "HOH" chant.
Kevin Steen vs. AJ Styles
They both received big reactions. Steen attacked Styles and knocked him to the floor. They battled on the floor. I couldn’t see the majority due to where I was positioned in the building but the crowd really loved it.
Styles cut off Steen when they returned to the ring and nailed a leaping clothesline into the corner. He slammed Steen and nailed a big leaping kneedrop. Styles went for a suplex but Steen blocked in and drilled him in the corner. Steen caught him with a hanging DDT for a two count.
Steen worked over Styles. Steen controlled Styles for some time and kept him on the mat. Styles finally reversed a chinlock and got a huge pop for it. Styles fired up with some awesome strikes. They battled back and forth with some great physical action. Styles sent Steen to the floor and teased a dive, then stopped on the apron and hit a moonsault onto Steen.
They battled back into the ring and Steen nailed a cannonball. Steen caught him with a stunner. He went for the F5 but Styles slipped out and nailed a tornado DDT. They battled to the ropes. Styles was going for a move but Steen battled him off. Styles came back with an enziguri to stun Steen. He went for a suplex but Steen reversed it into a Michinoku Driver off the ropes. He covered Styles for a two count. Steen claimed it was three and got the crowd to chant, “You f***ed up†at the ref.
Steen went for a Package Piledriver but Styles blocked it. Steen nailed a slam and went for a swanton off the ropes. Styles pulled his knees up. Steen nailed the F5. Styles nailed a Pele Kick. Styles drilled Steen and nailed the Styles Clash for the pin.

Another really good physical back and forth match with some awesome action and great near falls. This was a really good main.
Styles took the mic and said that he knows how the fans feel about TNA but he doesn't want anyone to be angry or bitter towards Dixie Carter. He said he's better in the ring today than he was in TNA. He said there were other former TNA talents who showed how great they were tonight. He told the fans not to be angry or bitter because they came to entertain the people, because that's what they came to see and they'd be back to do it again soon.
