We are back and CM Punk makes his way to the ring.
Punk says that we should talk about what happened last week. He got his ass handed to him by Brock Lesnar. He grabbed him and rag dolled him and hit him with his best shot over and over and over until Punk was a laying heap at ringside. He knew that he was dealing with a genetically gifted freak athlete. No matter how hard Brock hit him and threw him around, he got up.
We are one week later and he still has thirteen staples in his head. He has messed up ribs and ankle. Maybe he shouldn’t be here, but he is still standing. That is the think about a Brock Lesnar beat down or ambush. Brock can beat him down, but he cannot keep him down.
Brock Lesnar is an NCAA Champion, a former WWE Champion, and a former UFC Heavyweight Champion. A man who broke the likes of Triple H, John Cena, and the Undertaker. Over all of the years and fights, his biggest strength has not been his speed, power, technique, or fighting skill. His biggest strength has always been fear.
Punk says that he has seen it up close. Punk says that he is not afraid of Brock Lesnar. He is not afraid of Paul Heyman’s monster.
Now he wants to talk about Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman had a decision to make and he made the wrong one. He will make sure that Paul lives to regret it each day of his miserable life. He is relentless and he will not stop until he has Brock laying in the heap Brock left him in. He will send Brock back into obscurity.
Punk says that this is his ring. He has proven it every time. He has proven it to Rock, John Cena, and the Undertaker. He would have proven it to Brock Lesnar until the man he called his best friend stabbed him in the back for a second time.
Punk tells Paul that he has a promise for him. There will not be a third time. He will get his hands on Paul and he will pay. Punk says that he will not pretend that Brock is not a monster. Monsters were put on this Earth for one purpose . . . to be slaughtered. He will slay the beast. He wants Brock one-on-one and he will kick his ass at SummerSlam. He wants the Best versus The Beast.
Paul appears on the TitanTron and he repeats The Best versus The Beast and he likes the idea and the marketing.
Punk wants to know if Paul is really via satellite or if he is here because he will grab him by his fat neck and drag him into the ring.
Paul asks Punk if he is going to play hero to the Texans. Thank God that we live in the age of instant global communication so they can give their message and not once have to set foot in the state of Texas. Punk is in front of his new worshipers playing the hero. Paul says ‘Show me a hero and I will show you a coward who ran out of options or a fool who was too stupid to stay down.†Is Punk a coward or a fool?
Punk says that he will give Paul and his client his answer at SummerSlam.
Paul says that it bothers him . . .
Punk says that he wants to know where Paul is because he will walk to kick his ass.
Paul says that it bothers him that Punk doesn’t realize that they were the Reigning and defending champion for 434 days.
His client is in his best fighting shape. Punk is all beaten up from the Money in the Bank ladder match and the heinous beating at the hands of the Beast Incarnate from last week. If CM Punk wants a fight, the challenge for SummerSlam is accepted. Paul says that the Best is the Beast and he is his client and best friend in the world . . . Brock Lesnar.
