9/26 WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: A BOUNCY OPEN CHALLENGE, WHO IS THE WOMEN'S CHAMPION, WHO FACES THE WYATTS FOR THE TAG TITLES, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2025-09-26 22:00:00

We are back with a look at the Crown Jewel Match video package.

We are reminded that AJ Styles faces John Cena at Crown Jewel.

Drew is now in the ring with a walking boot on.

He says it just occurred to him that this is the same building he returned to in 2017 at Takeover.  It is the same arena he beat Randy Orton in, in front of many screens to win the title.  This is where he should have come out at this arena as the World Champion after winning in front of people, but it didn't happen because of Cody.  Cody was a master chess player.  The referee took six second to count a pinfall.  He had Cody dead to rights for a Claymore through the announce table because that is the only way you take down Super Cody.  The referee got in the way.  If he Claymores Cody into the steps, does he get DQed?  No.  The referee saved Cody.  Do the referees work for WWE or Cody?

Drew says he does not blame the referee, he blames Cody.  He says power corrupts.

Nick Aldis comes out and he says Drew is making sense and he sees things from Drew's perspective.  Some times you are the hammer, some times you are the nail.  Nick wants to know where that boot came from.

Drew says he got his own medical team.

Nick tells Drew to stop with the excuses.  If you are trying to suggest that you are not champion is because of corruption, you are insane.  The referee's decision is final and he says he is done.

Drew says it is BS.  He is the champion without a championship.

Jacob Fatu interrupts and makes his way to the ring.

Drew is about to speak but Fatu takes the mic.

Fatu tells Drew to shut his ass up.  Fatu tells Drew to stop bitching.  You come out here every week.  You cry and complain.  You blame everybody else for your wrongdoing.  Fatu tells Drew to sit his peg leg ass down.

Drew asks Fatu who the hell does he think he is.  You had a great run for the last year, but Drew reminds Fatu who he is.  He says if he wasn't hurt. . .

Fatu takes the mic and he says if you weren't hurt . . . . Fatu with many catchphrases and Drew with a head butt.  Fatu with a super kick and he takes off the walking boot and hits Drew with it.

Stephanie walks into Tiffany's locker room and she says maybe they will meet at Crown Jewel.

Tiffany says if they meet in the ring, she will be on the ground and Tiffany says she will be champion.

Sami Zayn is with Rey Fenix and he thanks him for the match last week.

Rey asks who will answer the challenge tonight.

Sami says he doesn't know.  It could be anyone from Smackdown . . . or Raw . . . but they are in Orlando, so . . .

We are back and Solo Sikoa talks about how JC Mateo has won titles all over the world.  He is one of the strongest he knows.  You are bigger than that.  He wants more for him.  When Jacob got too big for the group, you were.there.  You will be rewarded as long as you are part of his family tree.

JC says he loves Solo.

As we see Je'Von in the ring, Josh Briggs is conveniently in the crowd for this match.
