WrestlePalooza 2025 from Indianapolis
Michael Cole welcomed everyone to the show.
The Usos were shown walking in the libby of the arena.
Seth Rollins and The Vision were walking backstage. Becky Lynch apparently mugged Big Bird.
They showed CM Punk and AJ Lee in the back.
They showed Stephanie and IYO wandering the hallways.
Finally, Cody and Drew.
The lights went out in the arena. They aired the video feature on WWE coming to ESPN. It was a hell of a package.
Paul Levesque was revealed to be in the ring. We had reported earlier on PWInsiderElite.com that he would be opening the show as an added segment. He asked Indy if they can feel the energy. This is the final form of sports and entertainment. He said that if tonight is your first night, welcome to WWE. Welcome to ESPN. He welcomed everyone to WrestlePalooza. Lots of pyro went off. Shockingly, he didn't ask us if we were ready. Somewhere out there, someone wasn't ready.
Michael Cole and the returning Wade Barrett welcomed everyone to the crowd. Cole said he was proud to be out here and it was an important night for everyone as the company has made it to ESPN.
Pat McAfee arrived and joined the announcing team. You knew he wasn't missing a show in Indy.
Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
Big Cena chant before he made his way to the ring.
Cena had a big entrance with scores of kids dressed identical to him coming out on stage. That's great.
Alicia Taylor did her big time ring announcements. As she was about to introduce Brock, out came Paul Heyman to do it.
Brock attacked Cena and worked him over in the corner with shoulderblocks. Fans were chanting for Cena. It was all Brock early on as he whipped John hard into the buckles. Cena squeezed Cena from behind with a bearhug. Cena battled out and pulled up Brock for an AA. Lesnar escaped and hit a big lariat that made Stan Hansen smile.
A sign in the crowd reads, "He shouldn't be here and we know why." OUCH.
Brock began hitting German suplexes. Cena escaped and sent Lesnar into the buckles. Cena hit several shoulderblocks and nailed the AA. He then nailed another and then a third. Cena covered Brock, who kicked out at the last minute. John hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Lesnar blocked and hit a pair of F5s. Lesnar nailed another and set up a fourth.
Lesnar nailed another and pinned Cena.
Your winner, Brock Lesnar!
Eat. Sleep. Squash. Repeat!
Lesnar hit the referee with an F5, then hit Cena with another.
They showed a young fan in the crowd crying.
Lesnar left.
Cena took a long time getting up and walked to the back as fans chanted "Thank you Cena."
This felt to me like the setup for a big Cena comeback bout. Perhaps his retirement in DC?
The Usos vs. Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker with Paul Heyman with special guest referee LA Knight
Bronson and Jey started out. The Usos double-teamed him. Breakker argued with Knight. Bronson grabbed a chair but Knight prevented him from using it. Jimmy Uso nailed a superkick. Uso grabbed the chair and Knight turned his back, allowing Jimmy to nail Bronson with the chair. Bron went to the floor. Jey hit a dive to the outside on Bronson and Bron.
Bron and Bronson cut off Jimmy and worked him over for some time. Bron suplexed Jimmy for a two count. The chair is still in the ring, so it's going to come into play again. Jimmy finally fights his way to a hot tag and Jey cleans house. The Indy crowd is super hot, screaming YEET for every big spot. Jey charged Bron but was sent over the top to the outside but rebounded and nailed Bron, scoring a two count.
The Usos brought a table into the ring. Bronson and Breakker brawled with them. They set the table up in the corner. Bron set up for a charge through the table but Uso killed him with a superkick. The Usos drilled him with a double superkick and went for the pin but Bronson broke it up. The Usos looked to have things their ways but Bron speared Jimmy. Jey speared him and hit a top rope splash for a two count.
Jey went for a dive as Knight and Bronson argued on the floor. He almost connected with Knight and they argued about that, allowing Heyman to give Bron a chair. Jey grabbed the chair and Bron ducked the shot and Jey almost hit Knight, who ducked as well. Jey drilled Bron across the back and drilled himself with the chair when it bounced back. Breaker speared Jey. Jey was bloody as hell. Breakker, who was covered in Jey's blood, speared both Usos through a table. Reed hit a Tsunami off the top on Jey for the pin as the broken table crashed atop Jimmy.
Your winners, The Vision!
They showed The War and Treaty, the President of ESPN and Tyrese Haliburton in the crowd.
