VIKINGO VS. DOMINIK: COMPLETE WWE x AAA WORLDS COLLIDE COVERAGE FROM LAS VEGAS

By Mike Johnson on 2025-09-12 22:01:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing WWE x AAA Worlds Collide coverage from Las Vegas!

We are live from Las Vegas at UNLV Campus.  Corey Graves is the lead announcer in English, which is why he wasn't at Smackdown.  You'd be shocked about how many emails I received about him not being there tonight.

We see AAA Lucha legends Triple H, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, because they are of course the first thing you'd see on any lucha show!

They showed Penta arrive in the building.

Rey Mysterio arrived as he's here to watch Dominik challenge for the AAA Mega Championship tonight.

Dominik Mysterio arrived and was cheered.

Hijo Del Vikingo was shown and was booed as if Rian Johnson walked into a JJ Abrams convention.

They had the traditional opening ceremonies with representatives from WWE and AAA in the ring.  Rey is somehow already in the ring, as is Shawn Michaels.  Apparently they are up for The Flash in James Gunns' DC Studios universe? Lilian Garcia sang the HELL out of the American national anthem, but when doesn't she?

Penta came to the ring to a big reaction.  The crowd chanted "No Fear" in Spanish.  He welcomed everyone to the show and said tonight is going to be a great show full of the tradition of Mexico.  He teased going after the Mega Championship.  The crowd loved it.

Your announcers are Corey Graves. JBL and Konnan.

La Parka & Mascarita Sagrada & Laredo Kid (replacing Niño Hamburguesa) & Octagón Jr. vs. LWO's Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde & Lince Dorado & Mini Abismo Negro.

As we reported earlier today on PWInsiderElite.com, Nino's work visa was not processed in time for him to travel to the United States.

The La Parka is the current AAA one, not the original aka former WCW star LA Park.

Konnan pointed out Sagrada was Torito with The Colons.  The announcers were putting over the minis and how Antonio Pena put them in a position to be shown in a respectful way.

Some good back and forth action.  Laredo Kid looked good and nailed Del Toro with a big clothesline.  Del Toro evaded him and nailed a big forearm shot.  They battled to the top, where Laredo nailed a top rope rana but Del Toro landed on his feet.  He nailed a Standing Spanish Fly for a two count.  The LWO double-teamed Laredo.   Wilde and Laredo had some nice sequences.

La Parka tagged in and Vegas popped huge.  He and Wilde did some dancing before battling back and forth.  Parka caight Wilde with a dropkick into the corner.  La Parka nailed a twisting suplex slam.  The Minis tagged in.  Sagarada took down Negro with a dropkick and armdrag takedowns.  Octagon tagged in, as did Lince.  Octagon hit a twisting moonsault off the ropes.  Laredo and Wilde tagged in and battled. Laredo was worked over and trapped in the corner as Team LWO tagged in and out.

Negro tagged in and slammed Laredo.  Laredo went for a move off the ropes but it didn't work.  Negro dropped an elbow for a two count.  Sagrada got the hot tag and it was the Mascarita show.  He did a ton of rotarions around Negro before hitting a head scissors that sent him to the floor.  Sagrada began taking down all of the LWO team one by one.  He nailed a Falcon Arrow on Wilde, which got a big reaction.  Sagrada dove off the top into a rana on Negro on the floor.  That was cool.  The crowd chanted, "Holy sh**."

LWO regained the momentum.  Wilde hit a Coast to Coast on Octagon.  Laredo was hit with a rana, landing on his own partner.  Dorado hit a shooting star press but Sagrada broke up the pinfall.  Sagrada locked an Octopus on Negro but the LWO broke it up.  Everyone went into a series of big moves.  They evolved into a series of dives to the floor.  They slingshot Wilde into a dive down the aisle.

Sagrada dropkicked Negro.  He rolled up Negro and scored the pin.

Your winners, La Parka & Mascarita Sagrada & Laredo Kid & Octagón Jr.

A few rough moments but a lot of athleticism and a fun lucha bout with everything you'd want.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio was talking about what a big night it was when Dominik Mysterio showed up and said he was going to be the first Mysterio to win the Mega Championship and be a double champion.  Mysterio dared him to come out and raise his hand and put the belt around his waist when he wins.  Rey said if he wins he would.  Finn Balor showed up and said Dom could prove his greatness by winning tonight alone.

Faby Apache vs. Natalya to determine top contender for AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.

Natalya came out dressed ready to fight the way she does at GCW Bloodsport events and at Triplemania.

They had some nice intensity early when they locked up,  Apache took her to the mat and drilled some rights.  Natalya nailed a discus clothesline.  Natalya nailed some damn good right hands.  She drilled Apache with elbows in the corner and used a slingshot into a throw to the mat.  Natalya cinched in a sleeper.  She locked up Apache and lifted her into a surfboard.  Natalya talked trash towards the crowd,  She's looked really great so far.  Apache surprised her with an inside cradle for a two count.  Natalya fought back with a series of rights.  The crowd chanted for Faby.

Natalya nailed a series of short arm clotheslines but Apache absorbed them and fired back.  Apache nailed a flying bodypress and drilled a big boot for a two count.  Apache worked over her arm and cinched in a scissors lock around Natalya's waist.  They fired back and forth with punches.  Apache drilled her with a headbutt and cinched in a front facelock.  Apache cinched in an anklelock.  She went to use a Sharpshooter but Natalya kicked her and pulled her into a series of pinfall combinations until Natalya scored the pin.

Your winner, Natalya!

This was real good.  I bet they'd have an even better match with more time.  Really nice intensity and a different side of Natalya showing more grit and aggression.  Apache is always good and this was no exception.

They got into it with each other after the bout but they were separated by the referee.

They showed a package about Wrestlemania going to Saudi Arabia.  You could hear fans chanting "You sold out" before they played music over the graphic for Corey Graves' voiceover.

They showed Hijo del Vikingo preparing in the back.  He was booed to death.  Jeez!

Backstage, Chuey Martinez interviewed New Day, with Grayson Waller.  Kofi Kingston said Adam Pearce doesn't recognize their greatness but AAA does.  Xavier Woods claimed he had surgery thanks to Penta's Destroyers but he still flew here to see his men fight for the titles.  So, Grayson is teamed with Kofi.
