7/22 WWE NXT REPORT: TRIPLE THREAT, DOUBLE CHAMP, A NEW LOOK FOR A TITLE BELT, WHO IS NEXT TO CHALLENGE JACY?, WHO IS NEXT TO CHALLENGE ETHAN, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2025-07-22 22:00:00

We are back and Trick Williams makes his way to the ring.

Trick says the man carrying two brands has finally arrived.  He says he is here to spin some facts.  On Sunday, he went to Long Island and he main evented the biggest show TNA ever had.  He says he beat two of TNA's best.  With him breaking the record and beating two of TNA's best, that has to make him the greatest TNA champion of all time.  He says he knows they don't like him at TNA.  He is dropping anyone who gets in his way.  Last week, the boys from LFG got in his way and they stood in front of Trick.  They got too big for their britches and he told them to get out of his way.

He says they snitched on him and they told their coach on Trick.  He says they called the Undertaker.  Trick says Undertaker is one of the greatest.  He is in the Hall of Fame for a reason, but you never held down two brands at the same time.  He says that LFG has made the Undertaker soft.  He says he is the only man with the Kahunas to call out the Undertaker.

The gong sounds and he makes his way to the ring.

Taker asks what do we have here?  He says we have a dead man walking.  He tells Trick to look at himself.  You got that nice title.  You got the bling.  Taker asks if this is genuine cowhide.  Taker says he is asking for a friend.

Trick says it is.

Taker says Trick has it all, except one thing . . . respect.  You have that swagger.  Taker says he keeps up with everybody.  You ain't the same guy with that TNA that you were with the NXT Championship.  Taker says he watched that guy scratch and claw to the top.  That guy was hungry and he had that dog in him.  Taker says that ain't him.  Taker tells him that you can have the whole package, all of the talent in the tool box, but with your attitude, it ain't a matter of you losing the title, it is when.  That attitude is going to be your downfall.  Taker says that is when the wall start crumbling down.  Taker says he has seen it too many times.

Taker says Trick's attitude is rotten and that attitude is exactly what he tries to teach to his LFG team.

Trick says he doesn't care about Taker's LFG team.  You are a legend and no one on your team is a superstar like him.  No one in NXT is a superstar like him.  No one in the WWE is a super star like him.

Taker asks if that is right.  Taker says he has one piece of advice for Trick.  He says he is a little too light in the ass to step up to an OG.  Taker asks if you want to dance with the devil, he can turn that switch real quick.  When he does, he will make Trick famous.

Trick tries to punch Taker but Taker stops him and hits a choke slam.

Blake Monroe walks in the back as we go to commercial.

Jacy asks who is going to take Lash and who is going to take Jaida.

Michelle McCool shows up and she says that Jazmyn should face Jaida while Fallon should face Lash.

Ethan Page walks in the back.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Ethan is in the ring.

He says today marks the 56th day as the greatest North American to hold the North American championship.  Seventeen Americans before him had the privilege to be North American champion.  His plan is to bring more honor, dignity, pride, and class than all seventeen combined.  He says he can do it because of who he is and where he comes from.  His parents migrated to North American from the former Yugoslavia.  He got to travel around and see every city with a bingo hall or arena from coast to coast.  If his family made other decisions, he might have ended up like all of you.

Ethan says he was born . . . he reveals a Canadian flag and points out that he is Canadian.

Going forward, this championship will not represent the continent of North America.  This title represents an absolute lie.  It should represent the pure dominance of Canada over the United States, Mexico, and every other country.  Ethan says he was born in Canada and made in the USA so that makes him the greatest North American alive.

Ethan tosses the title to the floor.  He says it gives him the honor to bring his nation great pride.  To claim yourself as the North American Champion, it will come with the Canadian standards.  They do things with pride and honor.  That is just their athletes.  He says their civilian life is better.  Their food is better and healthier.  Their women are hotter and healthier.  Their air is better.  He says Houston stinks.  He says he accepts them for what they are.  He says Houston is in Texas, which is in the United States in his North America.  As your North American champion, he takes pride in holding this, but his pride as champion pales in comparison to his pride as a Canadian citizen surrounded by mediocrity.

Ethan says he would like to ask all of you to stand for the Canadian National Anthem.

Ethan says he will not have an American butcher the anthem so he will sing it himself.

Santino Marella interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.

Ethan tells everyone to shut up because they are ruining his celebration.

Santino says that Ethan has a big match.  Santino says he is from Italy and he wants to follow in the tradition of many great Italians.  He says he lives in Canada and they do not think like Ethan.  He says the garbage coming out of his mouth makes him sick.  He says that Ethan is a bumhole boy.

Ethan tells Santino to go back to TNA because this is the champ's show.

Santino says he is friends with Ava and he heard what you were saying.  Santino says Ethan said one thing that is correct.  The title should be held by someone with honor, class, and pride.  Santino says he has those qualities and he will see Ethan next week.

Ethan says they do it now.

Ethan turns around and sees the Cobra so he leaves the ring.

Trick is staggering in the back and he walks up to Oba Femi.

Jacy stops and she walks past them.

Oba and Trick stare at each other without saying anything.

We go to commercial.

Inamura asks if he is a bad friend for not listening to Briggs.

Evans says Inamura has his own code and his own path.

Inamura says he likes Briggs and he doesn't like how he thinks.

Evans says you can love someone when you don't really like them.

Evans says he is trying to figure out what is next.

Inamura says the NXT Championship is next for him.

Myles tells Charlie he thinks he knows what is best and he tells him to go away.

Bubba Ray tells Charlie to tell him to go.  He hugs Wren and he tells her she did great.  Bubba says they had a match that was controversial.  He says he is going to talk to Ava for another match where if Tavion wins, he is on his own.  He says if Charlie wins, he has to stay in the group and he does it with a smile on his face.

They agree.

Bubba tells Lexis he is there.

Lexis says he is a big fat phony and he isn't deaf.  He says Myles is doing this for sympathy.  He says if Myles is deaf, then he is blind.  Myles says people wish that Lexis was mute.

We see footage of Roman asking Jey to team with him against Bron and Bronson at SummerSlam
