Cody's King of the Ring Finals opponent, Randy Orton makes his way to the ring.
They are joined in the ring by the crown.
Randy says before he starts talking about what he wants to talk to Cody about, he asks the people if they watched Raw. Randy asks them if they saw Cody against Jey. Randy says that was a match of the year candidate.
Randy says he is out here because he knows what you are going to say about being King of the Ring. He says he would want to see that crown on Cody’s head but the circumstances are different. You may want this crown, but I needs this crown. I need to be King of the Ring. Not because if I win, I go on to SummerSlam and get the chance to be a fifteen time champion. That is all well and good. That is a symbol of redemption. He says he was here last year and he made the finals but came up short to Gunther. He says he has to right that wrong.
That crown stands for retribution. Retribution against John Cena. At Backlash, in his home town, Cena embarrassed him. He was embarrassed in front of his friends and family. His family was in the front row. He has to right that wrong as well.
Everybody knows how they feel about each other. He cannot let his feelings block his goals. He wants to put all of the cards on the table because of his respect for Cody. There is not one single thing he won’t do to make sure that he leaves Saudi Arabia with that crown on top of his head.
That goal is going to come true because he is going to reintroduce Cody to the three most dangerous letters in WWE . .. . R . . . K . . .O.
Cody says he has heard everyone in the tournament talk about why they want to be King of the Ring. His need is probably more than anyone but no one has let him get a word in edgewise. You say that John Cena embarrassed him. Between you two, you have more than thirty world championships and that is not embarrassing. Cody says he remembers everything. His first night on Raw, he slapped his dad across the face. He remembers the bad and the good. He remembers being in the ring and hearing everything as a student from his teacher that he wanted. He says he is thankful for Randy Orton. You think you need to win this. Cody says no matter if it is John Cena or CM Punk, Cody says he needs it a little more.
Tomorrow night, when it is all said and done, RKO will still be the most dangerous letters in WWE, but you won't be King of the Ring. Cody says he will.
Michael and Wade mention that there have been some issues in the building so they are back. Cole insults Wade and Wade says this never happened with Tess.
JC Mateo is in the back and Solo tells him they can't give Jimmy any chance to come back to the family. He wants him to show what it is like to have no family. Solo says everyone will see that they are just getting started.
Match Number One: JC Mateo versus Jimmy Uso
Jimmy charges at Mateo and he runs Jimmy into the corner and connects with shoulders. Mateo with punches to Jimmy in the corner. Jimmy with a punch and chops. Mateo with a jumping body block. Jimmy with an uppercut and he sends Mateo to the floor. Jimmy with a dragon whip to send Mateo to the floor. Jimmy sets for a dive but Solo playing the role of traffic cop, stands in the way. Jimmy punches Mateo and Mateo sends Jimmy into the ring post. Mateo with head butts. They return to the ring and Mateo with a spinning side slam. Mateo chokes Jimmy by the ropes so Solo can try to sell him something.
Mateo with an uppercut into the corner. Jimmy with a punch and chops. Mateo with a forearm to stop Jimmy. Mateo with a punch. Mateo chokes Jimmy in the corner. Mateo with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Jimmy wtih a chop and Mateo with an Irish whip. Jimmy gets a boot up but Mateo catches Jimmy off the turnbuckles and hits a uranage. Mateo with a forearm and a standing moonsault for a near fall. Mateo with a waist lock and Jimmy with elbows to escape. Jimmy with an elbow and a twisting moonsault. Jimmy with punches and thrust kicks and an uppercut. Jimmy goes for a Samoan drop and Mateo escapes. Jimmy with a dragon whip. Jimmy kicks Mateo to the floor and hits a suicide dive.
Solo distracts Jimmy and Mateo catches Jimmy and hits Tour of the Islands for the three count.
Winner: JC Mateo
After the match, Solo wants a hug from his big brother but Jimmy slaps Solo. Mateo attacks Jimmy from behind and he punches Jimmy. Solo sets for a Samoan Spike and . . .
Jacob Fatu comes to the ring and he punches Mateo and Fatu with a Samoan drop.
Solo goes to the floor before Fatu can do anything to him.
Fatu realizes that Mateo is still in the ring so he hits a double jump moonsault.
Jimmy re-enters the ring and he pushes Fatu out of the way but it was to save Fatu to avoid an attack from Solo. Jimmy with a super kick to Solo.
Gargano and Ciampa talk to the tag team division about how they need to lead the division that they built. They are here to protect their tag team division. Ciampa says if the Wyatts win, they will not get the tag titles for a while.
Nick Aldis shows up and says he can hear him.
Ciampa says they are trying to protect the tag team division that you don't care about because you gave the Wyatts a tag title match.
Nick says he will do something.
Andrade shows up and Nick asks him if he wants to find a tag team partner to face DIY tonight.
Ciampa doesn't like that.
Giulia tells Zelina they have been calling each other out since you won the title. You talk about how hard you work, but I don't have to do that. She says her heard work is evident and the title does not mean as much to me as it does to you. It is just a stepping stone. She will prove the title does not belong to her.
Zelina says where she comes from you go to the street to settle things. She says she has done everything to win this title and you will have to pry it from her dead, cold hands. She sys she will prove why she is champion.
Match Number Two: Zelina Vega versus Giulia for the Women's United States Championship
Vega with a single leg take down and she gets a near fall. Vega gets another near fall. Giulia gets a near fall. Vega gets a near fall. Both women with kicks and they are both down. Giulia sends Vega to the mat. Giulia with a suplex and she goes to the turnbuckles. Vega kicks Giulia off the turnbuckles and she knocks Giulia to the floor with a running knee. Vega goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault. Vega sends Giulia into the apron but Giulia avoids being sent into the ring steps. They return to the ring and Giulia with a kick. Giulia sets for a side slam but she takes too long and Vega with a head scissors. Giulia blocks a Tiger Feint Kick and Giulia goes for a suplex on the apron but Vega blocks it and she kicks Giulia. Giulia with a leg sweep on the apron and she hits a hanging neck breaker from the apron.
Giulia sends Vega back into the ring. Vega misses a punch and Giulia with a head butt. Giulia goes up top and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall. Giulia with a rear chin lock and she slams Vega's head into the mat and follows with a curb stomp for a near fall. Vega with a wrist lock that sends Giulia to the ring steps and Vega with a running double knee strike against the ring steps. Vega with a forearm and Giulia fires back. Giulia with chops and forearms. Vega with clotheslines and a back elbow. Giulia blocks a Saito suplex and Vega escapes a slam. Vega with a kick to Giulia and sends her into the turnbuckles.
Vega with a running double knee strike to the back. Vega with Meteora for a near fall. Vega goes up top and Giulia with a boot to stop her. Giulia hits a super DDT followed by a slam attempt. Vega with a kick and she hits Code Red for a near fall when Giulia gets to the ropes. Vega goes to the turnbuckles and misses a moonsault. Giulia with a running knee to the head and she hits a G Trigger. Giulia with a Northern Lights Bomb for the three count.
Winner: Giulia (new champion)
Cole mentions the issues between Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa are in the back and Charlotte says she doesn't want to talk about it. Alexa says it looked like Charlotte needed her help. Charlotte says she isn't looking for friends. Alexa says they could be on the same side and be allies of convenience.
We go to commercial.
