We take a look back at last week's main event between Jey Uso and Seth Rollins.
CM Punk walks in the back and he goes to the ring.
Punk asks if it is great to be alive on a Monday in Louisville. He says he is pissed off and he can claim this place to be home. He says he has waited a few weeks since Wrestlemania, but he cannot shake being pissed off. He says he has a lot of enemies and he says it would be easier to mention who he isn't pissed off at.
Number one on the list is himself. He says he is mad at himself. We have been here before. This isn't the first time Paul Heyman stabbed him in the back. Stab me in the back, shame on you. Stab me in the back twice, shame on me. Twelve years ago, he slammed a ladder into my head. Punk says he apologizes to Jey because he warned Punk about Paul, but he realized that Paul is a snake. Punk says he is pissed at Paul, but more at himself.
He is also pissed at that Temu CM Punk, Seth Rollins. He says he will get all of them. He says we know how this will end. He says he cannot wait to get his hands around Paul's fat neck and squeeze until his eyes pop out.
Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring and Punk tells Paul to come into the ring and tell him why he did what he did. Those words will be your last.
Seth Rollins' music plays and he comes out with Bron Breakker.
Punk says that Seth is just a song and at some point the bell will have to ring.
Paul hands Seth the mic.
Seth says just when he thinks you can't get any more selfish or egotistical, you find a way to top yourself. Seth says Paul was your best friend. Your best friend, and you made his life hell on the road to Wrestlemania. Now you are out here gas lighting all of us to believe that he betrayed you. Seth says Punk makes him sick. He believed in your for years when no one else did. Seth says he believes that Punk is scum, trash, and human excrement. When he thinks that he cannot hate Punk more than he does and you stand in the ring, the reason why he is not World Champion right now.
Punk says Seth will never be champion as long as he is on two feet.
Seth wants to know what Punk's deal is. Does he love punishment? Does he love being on the wrong side of history? Seth says Punk loves to play the victim. He loves to come out and cry him a river. Poor CM Punk. You so desperately want to be a victim. You want to die a martyr? Seth says that can be arranged. He tells Punk he hopes he has prepared his last words.
Seth tells Bron to go to the ring.
Punk goes after Bron when he enters the ring. Bron backs Punk into the corner and connects with shoulders and punches. Seth and Paul get to the ring while Bron prepares to charge into the corner. Punk with a boot and he takes down Seth and he punches Seth. Bron attacks Punk from behind. Bron kicks Punk.
Sami Zayn comes to the ring to go after Bron and Seth grabs Sami but Sami punches Seth. Bron with an exploder to Sami. Punk and Seth with punches. Seth has Paul give him conveniently placed chair against the steps but Jey breaks it up.
Seth and Bron attack Jey. Sami and Punk have chairs.
Match Number One: Penta versus Chad Gable (with Ivy Nile)
Penta pushes Chad into the corner and kicks him. Penta chops Chad against the ropes a few times. Penta misses a thrust kick and Chad with a flying forearm. Chad gets a near fall. Chad with chops. Chad with a double thrust tot he throat for a near fall. Penta with punches and an elbow to the top of the head. Chad with a back elbow and a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Chad with a hard Irish whip and he goes for the mask on the turnbuckles. Penta with elbows to stop Chad and he comes off the turnbuckles with an arm drag. Penta with a head scissors that sends Chad to the floor. Chad moves and Penta stops against the ropes. Penta with a pescado but Chad with a flying head butt to stop him.
Chad with kicks to Penta and he mocks the strut and hand gesture. Chad with knee drops to the arm. Penta puts Chad on the turnbuckles and he punches Chad but Chad with a triangle in the ropes. Chad with a clothesline off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Penta with punches but Chad gets a near fall. Chad with an arm bar. Chad goes for the mask again and he goes to the arm for a double wrist lock. Penta with a thrust kick and both men are down. Penta with a kick in the corner and a hesitation headstand kick for a near fall. Chad catches Penta off the ropes and Chad hits a delayed German suplex for a near fall. Chad goes to the turnbuckles but he is met with a Codebreaker as he comes off and Penta gets a near fall.
Penta with many chops in the corner. Penta slips on the ropes when he tries to float over but Chad holds on to the ropes to block a lungblower. Chad with a moonsault for a near fall. Chad goes for an ankle lock but Penta rolls through and hits a super kick for a near fall. Chad escapes Sacrifice and counters into an ankle lock. Chad pulls Penta into the center of the ring and Penta with a victory roll for a near fall. Chad with a rollup for a near fall. Chad with a double thrust to the throat and he puts Penta on the turnbuckles. Chad goes up top and Penta blocks a superplex and he knocks Chad to the mat but Chad lands on his feet. Penta comes off the turnbuckles with a Destroyer for the three count.
Winner: Penta
Roxanne says the Prodigy and the Beautiful Madness take on the Genius of the Sky and Rhea Ripley. Giulia says Rhea and Iyo are strong, but Roxanne and she are hungry. They didn't come to wait their turn. They came to take over. Perez says that means going after the two women at the top. Iyo, Rhea. We don't give a damn about your history because they are here to make their own. You are looking at the future of this industry. Giulia says the future begins tonight.
We take a look back at the main event from Backlash.
We are in Clubhouse and Dom is on the phone. He says Liv misses her when Raquel asks.
Dom wants to talk to Finn. Dom says that Finn hesitated on Saturday and Grande had to save him.
Finn says that Dom is paranoid. He says he will take care of AJ Styles tonight.
We take a look at Pat McAfee and Gunther from Backlash.
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods make their way to the ring.
