By Richard Trionfo on 2025-02-15 16:56:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com’s coverage of WWE NXT Vengeance Day from Washington D.C.

Make sure to check out all of the coverage for Vengeance Day on the site.

Your hosts are Megan Morant and Sam Roberts.

They run through the card for tonight's show.

We take a look at the Women's Title match with a video package.

Corey interviewed Bayley earlier this week.

He mentions it is weird to be back in the PC after so many years.  Corey asks why is now the time to come back to NXT.  Bayley says she loves NXT and has always watched it.  When she was rehabbing, she got to know the girls and see how they train.  She mentions the grind in NXT and it is her way to give back and see what the future holds.  It is going to prepare her for when they come to Raw or Smackdown.  She says she found out they don't care what she has done.  It might be why they got into the business, but it is not why they are successful.  She says she had a match like this ten years ago in NXT and it shows that her hard work has paid off.

Corey asks her about the current women's division.  Bayley says this is the best this division has ever been.  She says they wanted it to get better and grow.  She says that many have looked at what they have done to get her.  NXT is looking for the best and people want to be here.

Corey asks about the obsession to get to Raw or Smackdown when they were in NXT and wonders if they are hungrier now.  Bayley says she doesn't know if she has a target on her back.  Bayley says she wants them to surpass her and want it as bad as her.  It makes her better to learn from the other girls.  This is what they have always wanted.  They want the hunger and the passion because you can't teach that.  If they have it, they will show it by standing over her.

Corey asks if Cora being added to the match has made her bite off more than she can chew.  Bayley says she finds a way to crawl out.  They might be the golden girls now, but Bayley built this.  She mentions the match in Brooklyn.  They need to look in the mirror and find out if they are ready for the next step.

Corey asks what does it mean with Bayley at the top of NXT.  She says she will show the world as the women's champion.  She says maybe she will beat Rhea at Wrestlemania.  If she is champion after Saturday, a new generation will be coming to NXT because of her.

We take a look at the NXT Tag Title match and how Briggs and Inamura earned their spot in the match tonight.

Axiom and Frazer talk about when they faced off a few years ago and how they never thought about being partners.  Axiom mentions asking Frazer to be his partner in the Dusty Classic.  Frazer says he wants to know how they can do against the top teams.  Axiom talks about facing some of the greatest tag teams and they mention Edge and Christian, the Usos, and the Hardys.

Axiom says they can't look past Inamura and Briggs.  Frazer says they always find a way to make it through.  Frazer says they are so much different than they were last year at Stand and Deliver.  Axiom says they will cement themselves as the best tag team.  Frazer says maybe they will end up as the greatest tag team of all time.

We see a video package for the Heritage Cup.

We take a look at the match between Ethan Page and Je'Von Evans with a video package.

Vic Joseph talked to Je'Von Evans earlier in the week.

Vic asks him how he is feeling.  He says his jaw still hurts.  He is ready for this weekend.

Vic asks about the recovery process.  Evans says it has been intense.  It takes you to a place where you can learn your limits.  Ethan will find out how far he will go.

Vic talks about Ethan's history of hurting people and is he scared to return to the ring.

Evans says he would be lying if he said no.  He has gone through different mindsets.  Then he saw people he loved getting hurt.  Evans says he knew he had to come back even harder.  He will find out on Saturday.

Vic asks how does it feel that the Je'Von Evans smile is coming back at Vengeance Day.

Evans says he took that for granted.  He says he is ready to go through hell on Saturday.

Vic asks about the hold harmless clause and whether Evans has asked himself if this is worth risking his career.

Evans says he has been thinking about that question a lot.  Ethan says he took Evans' smile to get his.  He is going against someone nobody likes.  He is going against someone who will do whatever it takes to win.  Evans says he is not going to sit back because he is new to the business.  Ethan will see a new Je'Von Evans.  He is coming to whoop his ass.

We take a look at the Strap match with a video package.

We take a look at the Women's North American Tite match with a video package.

Sarah interviewed Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.  She asks them about their NXT career highlights.

Waller says he came as a no name indie wrestler from Australia and he gave everything to make it in NXT.  He won the first Iron Survivor Challenge and he took out Johnny Gargano.  Theory says there were a lot of sharks in NXT and he did his best to swim.  He wasn't here long and he won the US Title and beat John Cena at Wrestlemania.

Sarah asks about their tag team success and why they challenged Oba Femi.

Theory says Oba needs some stars to push him and Waller says they were asked to come down by Ava.  Waller says they came to see what Oba was about and he will lose the title because he is too arrogant.

Sarah asks about this week's NXT and they argue over who was responsible for what happened to Oba.  Waller stops Sarah and says everyone is trying to break them up.  He says there will be a new champion on Saturday.

Sarah points out it is a triple threat math.  She asks who ends up winning.

Waller says it will be him.  Theory says it will be him.  They say 'us'.

We see Oba leaving the building on Tuesday.  Oba says they got the best of him tonight but it will not happen again.  He saw the look in their eyes when they held the title belt.  He says they will meet their inevitable end on Saturday and Oba says he will remain the ruler of NXT.
