WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: KEVIN MAKES A STATEMENT, CODY MAKES A STATEMENT, THE MCMG MAKE THEIR DEBUT, ROMAN AND SOLO, THE ORIGINAL BLOODLINE STAND TOGETHER BUT DID THEY REUNITE?, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2024-10-18 22:00:00

Roman Reigns is in CHAIR and Jimmy wants to do his Paul Heyman impression but Roman says Jimmy isn't the wise man.  Jimmy tells Roman to talk to Jey.  Roman says if Paul was here, it would be done.  He says Jey made it clear.  Roman tells Jimmy he tried and Roman says he will do it his way.  He will fix it.

Jimmy wants to know how is he going to do that.

Roman says he will acknowledge Solo.

Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring and the keepers of the belt surround the ring.

Cody talks to the people all over the building Cody says the next leader will not look like the last one.  He says it is not about the next one or the last one when it comes to the Crown Jewel title, it is about being the first one.  There are so many 'ifs'.  What if Harley Race faced Bruno Sammartino.  What if Nick Bockwinkel faced Ric Flair?  What if Bill Goldberg faced Steve Austin?  When they happened, it might not have been the best decision.  At Crown Jewel, there will be a definitive champion.

Cody says he is not going to disparage Gunther.  Cody says most of the people who walk these hallways are afraid of Gunther.  Cody says he is not afraid of Gunther, but if he was, he wouldn't bet against himself.  Cody says he is leaving Crown Jewel as champion and he says to look at the belt.  Cody says we have gotten to know each other over the last few years.  Cody says he wanted to take the John Cena schedule and he took that schedule and added to it.  Cody says he has paid the price and he is not done paying the price.  The real reason he thinks he is winning at Crown Jewel is sitting at home.  She is three feet tall and he needs her to know that he is the first champion and the name given to him was the same name given to her.  You don't play to lose, you play to win.

Cody invites Gunther to come to Smackdown next week for his reasons for all of this and he wants to look him in the eyes and ask him 'champ . . . what do you want to talk about?'

We take a look at Kevin Owens attacking Cody Rhodes after Bad Blood.

We see Kevin trying to explain himself last week and getting cut off.  We see what happened between Kevin and Randy Orton.

We see Kevin Owens' video.  He says he has been in WWE for more than ten years and a lot has happened over those ten years.  He never thought it would be as bad as it is now.  Being told not to come to Smackdown is so unfair and ridiculous.  Look at what people have done to each other over the years.  Kevin is the one asked to stay away because he dropped their golden boy?  Kevin says it makes him ask how appreciated and valued he is by the company.  Kevin says he can't get over what Randy did to him.  Kevin says he can't believe that Randy betrayed him like that.  You can let people say what you want about him, but he never would have done that to Randy.

Kevin says he thought what they had was different.  Kevin says he can't believe Randy chose Cody over him.  With all that is happening between the disrespect shown to him by WWE and Randy breaking his trust, he does not know if or when he can come back.

Nick Aldis is on the phone and Randy Orton shows up.

Randy says he needs to get his hands on Kevin Owens and he wants to do it at Crown Jewel.

Nick says he cannot do this right now.

Randy wants to know why.

Nick says he can't.

Neither understands the situation.

Nick the orders are coming from up above.

Randy says he guesses he knows who he has to talk to.

Roman says earlier tonight, he heard that Solo told Jey that the family is stronger now.  Roman says Solo told Jey that the bloodline was stronger now.  Roman says that he doesn't see it.  He doesn't see anything that tells them they are better off.  If anything, they are divided and broken.  After everything they went through in the spring and everything they lost through the summer.  They stand here divided like this?  Roman says he told his father that he could fix this.  Roman says all he wants to do is put them back in the promised land.  He wants titles around their waists.  He wants money from the heavens.  He wants abundance.  He wants to know what he has to do to make this happen.

Solo says it is an easy fix.  All he has to do is acknowledge him.

Roman says that he acknowledges Solo.  He asks if that makes Solo feel better.
