Match Number Five: World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther versus Randy Orton
Orton applauds the chant at the start of the match. They lock up and they go into the ropes. Orton holds on to Gunther on the break. Orton gives a clean break. Gunther with a side head lock take down and Orton with a head scissors. Orton with a side head lock take down and Gunther with a head scissors. Orton with a waist lock and Gunther with a wrist lock into a double wrist lock. Orton gets to the ropes to force a break. They lock up and Gunther with a head lock. Orton backs Gunther into the corner. Orton joins in the crowd doing the wave during the match. Gunther with a chop and a second one that sends Orton to the mat.
Gunther with shoulders in the corner. Gunther with a European uppercut. Gunther with a snap mare and he twists the neck. Gunther with an elbow to the shoulder followed by a chop. Orton with kicks and punches but Gunther punches back. Gunther with more punches and Orton fires back. Gunther with another chop. Orton rolls to the floor to regroup. Gunther goes to the floor and he puts Orton in a head lock against the ring post. Orton Irish whips Gunther into the ring steps. Orton breaks the referee's count. Orton works on the right arm. Orton Irish whips Gunther shoulder first into the ring steps. Orton with a back drop driver onto the announce table. Orton with a second one.
Orton with another back drop driver onto the announce table and Randy breaks the count. Orton with one more back drop driver. Gunther with a chop but he uses the injured arm. Gunther avoids an RKO and tries for a sleeper but Randy works on the arm to send Gunther to the mat. Orton slams the arm into the mat and he gets a near fall. Orton slams the arm into the mat again. Gunther with chops and Orton with a divorce court for a near fall. Orton with a reverse chin lock into a top wrist lock. Gunther with a knee to the midsection and Orton with a fallaway slam for a near fall. Orton with forearms and he chokes Gunther in the ropes.
Gunther with a kick and clotheslines but Orton stays on his feet because Gunther uses his injured arm. Gunther with a boot and Orton blocks the clothesline and Orton with a clothesline. He ducks a clothesline and hits a power slam for a near fall. Orton sends Gunther to the apron and he sets for the hanging DDT but Gunther with a chop and he drops Orton on the top rope. Gunther goes up top and Orton with a punch. Orton with more punches and he chops Gunther. Orton sets for a superplex and he hits it. Orton gets a near fall. Orton punches Gunther and Gunther with a chop. Orton with a kick and European uppercut. Gunther with a chop and Orton fires back. They continue the exchange with forearms. Orton with punches. Gunther with a punch and kicks. Orton with a thumb to the eyes. Orton sends Gunther to the apron for the hanging DDT and Orton hits it.
Orton looks around and he twists to the mat. Orton punches the mat to set for the RKO and Gunther counters with a German suplex. Gunther with a running drop kick and he goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Gunther sets for the power bomb but he cannot get Orton up due to the damage done to the arm. Gunther with a clothesline and he sets for the power bomb but he cannot get Orton up. Gunther with forearms to the back. Gunther tries again and he cannot get Orton up. Orton counters and he gets Gunther up but Gunther gets back to his feet and Gunther with a power bomb for a near fall. Gunther sets for another power bomb but he cannot get Orton up. Orton with an RKO and he gets a near fall.
Orton rolls to the floor and he adjusts the announce table. Orton pulls the ring steps to the announce table. Gunther with a forearm and Gunther sends Orton into the announce table. Orton with a punch and a back drop driver onto the ring steps. Orton grabs the other part of the ring steps and he puts it on top of the other part. Gunther gets back into the ring to stop the count. Orton pulls Gunther to the floor. Orton with a kick and he sends Gunther's head into the announce table. Orton sends Gunther into the steps and slams Gunther's head into the steps. Orton sends Gunther through the table off the ring steps.
Orton poses on the steps. Orton carries Gunther back to the ring. Orton looks around and he twists to the mat and punches it to set for an RKO. Gunther pushes Orton away on the RKO attempt. Gunther with a sleeper and he tries to add the body scissors but Orton fights off the body scissors. Orton backs Gunther into the turnbuckles but Gunther holds on after two attempts. Gunther rolls through and turns it into a rear naked choke. Orton pulls at the bad arm and he tries for an RKO but Gunther with a chop and he returns to the sleeper. Gunther with elbows to Orton's clavicle. Gunther goes back to the sleeper. Orton gets Gunther on his back and Orton falls back to the mat to get out of the hold. Gunther returns to the sleeper and he adds the body scissors.
Gunther with elbows to the clavicle and the sleeper is reapplied and the body scissors is locked in. The referee checks the arm and calls for the bell.
Winner: Gunther (retains championship)
After the match, Gunther offers his hand to Orton and Randy shakes it.
