COMPLETE WWE FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN COVERAGE

LA Knight came to the ring carrying a folder.  He cut a promo and reminded everyone he pinned Logan Paul two weeks ago.  Therefore, he's come out of Nick Aldis' office with something, a championship match against Logan Paul for the WWE United States Championship at Summerslam.  The only thing missing is Logan Paul's signature.  He said he wants to invite Paul to come out and sign it before he admitted Paul isn't here  He promised Paul could sign it anytime.

They aired a video package on Blair Davenport.

They recapped John Cena announcing his pending retirement.

Blair Davenport vs. Naomi

Naomi used her kicks and speed to keep Davenport off balance early and locked in a side chinlock.  Blair escaped and charged into the corner but was kicked off.  Naomi hit a running dropkick in the corner.  Naomi played to the crowd and nailed a split legdrop.  Blair and Naomi battled back and forth.  Davenport came off the top with an stomp. Naomi went to the floor but was sent into the ring post as they went to commercial.

Backstage, Naomi celebrated with Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.  They left.  Blair Davenport told her the best woman won.  Chelsea Green and Piper came out of Nick Aldis' office, complaining he's not there.  Blair attacked Naomi and left her laying.

WWE Tag Team Champions DIY vs. A-Town Down Under

Good action early.  Gargano went for a dive but Grayson shoved Austin Theory out of the way.  Grayson went for a tornado DDT off the apron but it went wonky and Ciampa crashed down to the mat as they went to commercial.  The challengers were in control until Ciampa nailed Theory with a forearm as he came off the ropes.  Gargano tagged in and cleaned house with all sorts of big offensive maneuevers.  He speared Theory and covered him for a two count.

Theory and Ciampa battled as their partners went to the floor.  Ciampa nailed a big knee and went for the O'Connor Role.  Waller faceplanted him for a two count.  The challengers set up for a double kick but ended up hitting each other when Ciampa ducked.  Waller nailed his own partner.  DIY hit him with The Shatter Machine and a double knee strike for the pin.

Your winners and still Champions, DIY!

Jacob Fatu attacked the champions and destroyed them.

The Bloodline made their way to the ring.

Solo demanded to be acknowledged.  He reminded the fans booing what happened to those who didn't acknowledge him.  Jimmy Uso didn't, and he's gone.  Paul Heyman is gone too.  Roman Reigns...the fans began to cheer.  He told the fan not to cheer for him.  They didn't deserve him, but if he comes back, Roman will acknowledge Solo.

Tonight, it is Cody Rhodes' turn to acknowledge him.  Rhodes' music hit and he made his way to the ring.  He said he and Solo want the same thing.  He has to make it official with Nick Aldis, but at Summerslam, they will face off.  The Bloodline surrounded Cody and they all brawled.  Cody fought but was overwhelmed.    Randy's music hit and he hit the scene, clearing the ring.  He went for the hanging DDT on Solo and nailed it.  He checked on Cody but was attacked by Jacob.  The Bloodline attacked everyone.

Cody was tied up in the ropes.  The GOD neat on Orton with the ring steps.  Orton was put through the announcers' table with the triple powerbomb while Cody was forced to watch.  Cody was hit with the spike by Solo.  The Bloodline celebrated as Smackdown went off the air.
