Olympic wrestling gold medalist Jordan Burroughs is in the crowd.
Rey Mysterio and Andrade vs. Santos Escobar and Dom is up next.
Both groups came out in full force. Rey is wearing Philadelphia Eagles gear.
Dom took the tag to work against the old man. They tossed the heels to the floor and Rey got on Andrade’s shoulders and they double splashed the heels. Great spot.
Back in the ring Rey took off his belt but Dom stopped him before he could use it. The heels then took control. They are looking really good in working Rey over.
The announcers just said how much better Dom has gotten in the ring and they are right. The kid gets it.
Andrade then came in and turned things around. He hot tagged Rey who set up Escobar for 619. Dom tried to stop but got tossed. Andrade nailed him with a moonsault from the top to the floor. Then it just became people flying all over the place. Wilde got help from his partners to FLY off of the second rope way far into the aisleway on Legado.
Fantasia was cheating when two BIG dudes came out of the crowd wearing masks. They grabbed Dom’s chair and wiped him out. It was Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce. HUGE pop. Yes!
Rey came off the top and pinned Santos.
It was all action and you KNOW I popped for seeing my Eagles show up!
Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso is up next.
Lil Wayne rapped for Jey and out he came. They Yeeted to the ring together. I think that’s a verb, right? I bet the fans are happy to yeet with Jey. It will warm them up.
Jimmy came out and Jey attacked him before he got to the ring. These two have to be stoked to get the match that they always wanted.
After an early onslaught, Jimmy came back and took control. He laid a beating on his brother.
Jey cam back and they faced off. These guys sure do throw a lot of kicks. It’s pretty even right now.
Jey started telling Jimmy to kick him, then he would kick back. Jey was getting the better of it. Jey wound up and blasted the hell out of his brother with a big kick. He told his brother to get up. Jimmy is languishing.
Jey said one more time and Jimmy raised his hand, so Jey stopped. Jimmy is saying he’s sorry. Don’t be a sucker Jey. Jimmy begged for a handshake. Don’t do it Jey. Jey did it. He helped him up and got suckered. Sting Uso. Now get the pound of flesh you deserve.
Jimmy did a splash but Jey kicked out a two.
Jimmy lined up Jey but he got wiped by a Spear. Jey went up and did a splash to pin his brother. The fans are happy. It was solid this was one of those matches that is all about the story that they were telling.
Time for six women action, Damage CTRL vs. Naomi, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
Both teams got great entrances. Dakota has a goth look going on.
Damage CTRL danced to the faces music while it was playing. That cracked me up.
Naomi started for her team. The crowd is kind of quiet. That makes sense since this is the first match that doesn’t have a lot of emotion behind it. The heels worked over Naomi to build up the hot tag. Bianca got it and cleaned house on all three. She did a moonsault on all three members. Jade stuck out her hand and the crowd went LIVE. Dakota pulled the braid to stop the tag. They will go nuts when Jade gets the tag.
Now they are chanting WE WANT JADE. Tony Khan is there yelling NO YOU DON’T! I kid Tony Khan.
The tag was made and the heels felt the storm. She wiped out the first two and then Kairi jumped on her from the top but got caught. Jade had Dakota pinned but the Warriors broke it up. Bianca came in and made the save. Asuka went to mist her but got Kairi Sane instead. Bianca whipped Asuka with the braid and it sounded LOUD. Jade then face planted Dakota and got the win for her team. She seemed to be a bit in the moment, which I would be too if I were her.
This is exactly what it should have been.
On a side note, I think going forward they should go back to the two man booth. Cole and Graves are studs and play off of each other really well. I like Pat Mc but three is usually a crowd and his schtick is so much better for TV, which is more about entertainment than serious match resolution.
