RVD VS. SPEEDBALL, THE SANDMAN APPEARS, CALLIHAN VS. PAUL WALTER HAUSTER, RASCALZ VS. ALI & RIDDLE AND MORE: COMPLETE WRESTLECON MARK HITCHCOCK MEMORIAL SUPERSHOW 2024 COVERAGE

By Mike Johnson on 2024-04-04 19:07:00

Rev Pro Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion Michael Oku with Amira vs. Titan

Some solid action early.  Oku challenged Titan to chop him and he did, taking Oku down.    Oku came back with a nice leaping rana.    They battled back and forth.   Oku nailed a great leaping splash off the ropes for a two count.  Oku went for a leg submission but was pulled into a small package for a two count.  Titan nailed him and went to the top, hitting a double stomp on the apron.  Titan went for a powerbomb but Oku blocked it.  Titan nailed a kick and spun Oku for a Whirlybird.  Oku avoided and nailed a quebrada for a two count.

Oku cinched in a one-legged Boston Crab. Titan made it to the ropes.  They battled back and forth.  Titan nailed an inverted powerslam for a two count.   They fired back and forth with forearms.  Oku scored with a series of kicks but Titan cut him off with a leaping clothesline that was so hard, it sent Titan himself through the ropes to the floor.  Titan went to the floor for a double stomp.  Oku battled back and cinched in the half-crab agan.   He wrenched bad hard and finally Titan tapped.

Your winner and still Champion, Michael Oku!

The Rascalz' Trey Miguel and Zach Wentz vs.  X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali & NJPW TV Champion Matt Riddle

This was an unannounced match and the crowd went nuts for the entrances, then chanted "Both these guys."

Riddle and Wentz had a hard exchange with chops and slaps.  Ali tagged in, as did Miguel.  Ali nailed several ranas and armdrags.  The arena chanted for him.   The Rascalz attacked and worked over Ali.  Riddle hit the ring with knee strikes.  Ali nailed a dive through the ropes onto the Rascalz.  Ali elevated Riddle into a twisting splash on Miguel for a near fall.  Riddle nailed another knee strike.   Riddle got the hot tag to Ali, who wiped out Wentz with a kick in the corner.  Ali and Miguel battled back and forth with some great action.

Everyone battled.  Miguel drilled Ali with a clothesline that sent him inside out for a two count.  The Rascalz tagged in and out as they worked over Ali.  Riddle finally tagged in and cleaned house with kicks.  Ali came off the top and rolled through when Wentz moved but was caught with a cutter.  They went into a series of near falls and big moves until Riddle and Ali scored the win.

Your winners, Mustafa Ali and Matt Riddle!

Masato Tanaka vs. Josh Alexander

This was so great, I forgot to type for almost the entire match.  They had some really nice exchanges in the ring as well as some stiff forearm and uppercut shots.  They battled to the top, where Alexander went for a superplex.  Tanaka nailed a Blockbuster but Alexander kicked out.  Alexander locked on an anklelock but Tanaka made it to the ropes.  They went back and forth until Alexander nailed the C4 and scored the pin.  Just great.

Your winner, Josh Alexander!
