WWE RAW REPORT: RHEA HAS AN OPPONENT FOR PERTH, TAG TITLE MATCH, BULL ROPE MATCH, CELEBRATING 605 (DAYS), DREW WANTS HIS MOMENT, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2024-02-05 23:00:00

We are back with a look at CM Punk preparing for his triceps surgery.

He talks about how frustrating it is to do simple tasks.  He says he can power through the pain and physical therapy.  It is the mental aspect that will be hardest.

We go to the ring for the GuntherBration.

Ludwig Kaiser introduces the man who has been Intercontinental Champion for more than 600 days (605 to be exact).

Gunther makes his way to the ring.

Gunther says to the surprise of absolutely no one, he is here to celebrate the jubilee of 600 days as Intercontinental Champion.  Gunther says to be honest, he appreciates the gesture by Ludwig to set this up.  He does not want this going forward.  It is a given that he will remain champion.  One thing will never change and that is the Ring General being the greatest and longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time.  As a matter of fact, he is running out of competition.  There is no one in the back worthy to face him.

Jey Uso's music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.

Gunther says he gets it.  SImple gestures for a simple audience.  Gunther says the last time he saw him, he eliminated Jey from the Royal Rumble.  This is still a celebration and Jey is disrespecting him.

Jey says no disrespect.  He says Gunther earned his stripes and he saw the work that Gunther has put in.

Gunther thanks Jey for the praise and he says Jey is one of the best tag team wrestlers of all time.  He was part of the best tag team in history.  You are the longest reigning tag team champion of all time.  You only had to put in 50 percent of the work.  That is where he is confused how they see eye to eye.  Gunther says he did all of the work to achieve this.

Jey says he was a tag champion for over a thousand days.  He was the first tag team wrestler to main event Wrestlemania.  He says he wants the Intercontinental Championship.

Gunther says it only took 15 years to get out of the shadow of your family to try to be successful.  You are not the first and won't be the last to ride on his coattails.  He says he will beat Jey worse than his family did and you will wish you went back to the days when they couldn't tell you and your brother apart.

Gunther bumps Jey and Jey goes after Gunther.

Kaiser and Vinci attack Jey and that means that Kofi and Woods make their way to the ring to help Jey.

Shinsuke Nakamura says Cody wants to fight him so badly that you chose a bull rope match because you thought it would give you an advantage.  The only thing it will do is bring embarrassment on your family when he beats Cody in the match his family made famous.  Pain, loss, shame. He says he sees people saying 'We want Cody'.  Nakamura says no, he wants Cody.
