Seth says Cody is not the guy. Roman Reigns is not even the guy any more. Seth says he is THE guy. He says he is THE guy and this is THE title in WWE.
You won last year and it made perfect sense to go after Roman, but that was when there was only one champion. The landscape has changed. All you have thought about for the last year is Roman. You have been with him on this ride. They have been on the road and went town to town. Who was in the main event? It wasn't Roman. What title was he defending? It wasn't the WWE championship. It was the World Title. Do you remember why this title came to be? It was because all of these people were sick and tired of Roman Reigns showing up every other week, then every other month, and then every few months. He cheated every time to keep the title.
Seth says this is their title. It is for us and by us. Seth says they built this up through a broken back and blown out knee. They have leveled up the playing field. Roman is not a God any more. We don't need to pretend that Roman is on some untouchable pedestal. We don't need Roman Reigns at all. Seth says he has to ask Cody what title does he want. Does he want the "Hollywood Title", the one for poseurs and frauds who politic their way to the top? Do you want the "Dusty Rhodes Title", the workhorse championship, the blue collar championship? It is about who is the very best between these ropes. Seth says they could ask Dusty but it isn't about him. It is about Cody and his decision.
Seth says he doesn't need an answer now, but he wants Cody to think about it. He asks Cody what is in his heart. What kind of man does Cody want to be.
Cody thinks about it and he tells Seth he has an insane amount of respect for him, and this is the last thing he woke up thinking that they would be talking about and what he would be thinking about. Cody says he'll think about it.
Kofi and Xavier are in the back and Kofi says when you think about The New Day, you think about the pancakes and the Booty-Os. They forget that they win championships. Kofi says that is what is going to happen when he beats Gunther to become the Intercontinental Champion.
