COMPLETE RING OF HONOR FINAL BATTLE 2023 PPV COVERAGE

ROH FINAL BATTLE 2023

AAA Mega Champion Hijo del Vikingo vs. Black Taurus.

Lots of fast action early on,  Taurus was sent to the floor.    Vikingo went for a dive but was caught and powerbombed hard on the floor.  Taurus pressed and slammed Vikingo back into the ring and mauled him.  Vikingo was worked over and powered backwards over the top to the floor.  Taurus nailed a twisting dive that looked great.

Taurus nailed a Crucifix Driver and a Samoan Drop for a two count.  All strong lucha work so far.  He went to the top but missed a twisting moonsault.  Vikingo recovered and nailed a kick to the face.  He followed up with a leaping kick in the corner.  He went to the top and nailed a shooting star press into a hurancanrana, then nailed an elbow.  He hit a springboard flip dive.  They battled to the top, where Vikingo nailed a leaping rana.  Taurus rolled to the outside.  

They continued to do insane things to each other.  They battled to the top, where Taurus hit a standing press slam down into the ring.    Vikingo came the back with a moonsault into a driver.  They began chopping the hell out of each other.    Vikingo sent Taurus to the floor.  Vikingo nailed a springboard 720 to the floor.    Taurus knocked him off the ropes and nailed a series of powerbombs across the knee and a lariat for a close two count.  Vikingo reversed a backbreaker into a crucifix bomb.  Vikingo drilled him with a 630 splash from the top and scored the pin.

If you like lucha, this was a TON of fun.

ROH Six Man Tag Team Champions The Gates of Agony & Brian Cage vs. The Mighty Don't Kneel's Bad Dude Tito & Kosei Fujita & Shane Haste

Everyone worked their asses off here.  Bad Dude Tito was especially trying to impress.  Kaun and Tito traded chops.  Tito nailed a head and arms Tazplex for a to count.  Haste shined early on as wel.. TMDK all tagged in and out and looked good, working over Kaun.  Kaun finally lariated the hell out of Fujita and Cag tagged in.  He drilled Fujita with some nice forearms and hit a big press slam for a near fall.  He nailed a rude Saito suplex for a two count then tossed Fujita across the ring.  Fujita tried to fight from underneath but it didn't work out.  Fujita finally nailed a suplex to escape

Tito looked good, including hitting a bodypress off the top on Liona.  I guess it was that Wipeout experience that helped with the dive. They worked over Cage and then Liona.   Liona came back for a nice spear for a two count.  Tito scored a DVDR on Cage.    Fujita hit a nice springboard dropkick on Kaun.  You can see the NJPW run has helped the Gates of Agony as their timing was awesome.  Fujita and Kaun drilled each other with forearms.  Kaun exploded with a great shotgun dropkick.  Cage nailed the deadlift suplex on Fujita but Bad Dude Tito made the save.  Cage hit the pumphandle, drilling Tito.

Fujita was left trying to defend himself against all three but was wiped out.  Cage murdered him with a sit-out powerbomb for the pin.

This match was really damn good.  This show's undercard has been a ton of fun so far.

I QUIT; Ethan Page vs. Tony Nese

Mark Sterling is handcuffed to the ringpost.  He refused so Mark Henry came out and helped.  Big pop for Mark, who's originally a Texas boy!

Page looked super strong early with some explosive offense.  Nese went to the floor.      Sterling distracted Page, allowing Nese to hit a dive on him and stomp away.  Nese worked him over and told Page to be like all the fans, quit.  Page refused.  He was busted open.   Nese looked for the key to free Sterling but Page followed and drilled him with right hands.

Nese regained control and whipped Page with a wire.  Page fired back and Nese teased quitting but instead drlled him.  Nese nailed the Fosbury Flop to the outside.  Nese set up a pair of tables on the floor.  Page nailed him and placed Nese on the tables.  He went to the top but Sterling distracted him, allowing Nese to nail him.  Page fought him off and nailed a stunner across the ropes.  Page leapt up and snatched him in an Ace Crusher through the tables.  Nese refused to quit.

Several chairs were set in the ring.  Nese nailed a rana off the top but Page landed over the chairs and missed them.  Page refued to quit.  Nese grabbed ring announcer Bobby Cruise and made him give up the key to the cuffs.  He shoved down a referee.  Where's Mark Henry when you need him?  Sterling was freed.  They put the boots to Page and said they were going to crack him with a 45 lb. barbell plate and send the footage to his daughter.  Scorpio Sky, with music, hit the scene and made the save, hitting Sterling.  Page nailed Nese, who fell with his fingers under the plate.  Page stomped it and nailed a DDT.  Sterling rolled into the ring and was nailed.  Sky dragged Sterling out.

Page went for Ego's Edge but Nese slipped out and nailed him with a chair.  He cuffed Page.  He told Page to quit or he was going to drill him in the head.  Page said, "F*** You."  Nese swung and missed and Page kicked him and took him down with a big backdrop.  The referee freed Page.  He unloaded with right hands.    Page choked him out with the cuffs and Nese quit.

Your winner, Ethan Page!

This was the best match Nese has been given the opportunity to have in a long time and made the most of the opportunity.  Page did well as a babyface and the crowd was into the story every step of the way.   Good stuff.

Nyla Rose vs. Vert Vixen

Rose worked her over early and nailed some big Beal Tosses.  Vixen escaped a powerbomb but was drilled with some hard shots.  Rose got the oj  with a Beast Bomb.  Short but competitive.
