Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring.
Cody 'yeets' and then asks what do you want to talk about.
Cody says he would be lying if he said he thought he would be standing in this ring, but now that he is, something feels right. It is the Rhodes, it is Florida. They have spilled blood all over this state. In the vein of gratitude, he wants to cut to the announcement. Cody says he has announcements. He says we have been enjoying the Women's Breakout Tournament. Who will be the next Tiffany Stratton or Rhea Ripley? He says the men will have a Breakout Tournament when the women's one is over. Cody says he heard people talking about a certain tag team tournament.
The crowd chants for Dusty and Cody says it sounds like you want it.
Cody says the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is coming back.
Cody says he has one more announcement. On the biggest night in NXT history, Cody has the privilege to announce that he is the guest General Manager of NXT.
NXT Men's Champion Ilja Dragunov makes his way to the ring.
Ilja starts to talk but he is cut off by chants of Happy Birthday.
Ilja apologizes for interrupting but he wanted to welcome Cody to NXT. He says Cody's announcements bring hope to the future of the brand. They bring excitement and breathe life into NXT. Ilja says he wanted to meet Cody. A man who brings this passion and energy. This man who brings the will to suffer for the entire WWE Universe. He says Cody fights with a fire and does everything to bring things to the next level. Ilja says he wants to do that too. Ilja promises to push NXT to the next level with a fire that only the Mad Dragon can blow.
Dominik Mysterio interrupts and he comes ot the ring with Rhea RIpley.
Dom asks if they are out here patting each other on their back. Dom says they are here to see the greatest superstar this brand has to offer . . . him. Dom says Ilja might be NXT champion, but you don't compare to the only true AA champion. If you want to feel Cody's energy, asks Cody about his energy levels after THE Judgment Day left him laying.
Ilja says he is not surprised that Dom came out to talk when no one in the arena wants to hear the sound of his voice. Ilja says his father used to work in a prison so he knows how to turn a barking dog into a sweet little puppy.
Dom asks if he hurt Ilja.
Rhea whispers something into Ilja's ear.
Dom tells Ilja to put his title on the line tonight against him to see if Ilja is half the man he says he is.
Cody interrupts and he asks if Dom isn't willing to put his title on the line.
Rhea says Dom has been carrying WWE on his back the entire year. Rhea says he just won the North American title back.
Ilja says today is a day of celebration. As a gift to himself, he couldn't imagine anything better than eating a man like you alive in this ring. Ilja tells Rhea he is going to smash her boy.
Cody says since he is the guest General Manager, the match for the NXT Championship is official. Cody says with the Judgment Day's numbers there needs to be a guest referee. Cody says it is not going to be him but the hottest star in WWE, LA Knight.
We see John Cena arriving at the building and he double parks in the Most Dangerous Parking Lot in Sports Entertainment.
Kelly Kincaid is in the viewing room to show how many people are watching the Asuka/Perez match.
Match Number One: Roxanne Perez versus Asuka
Before the match starts, Shotzi makes her way to the ring with her tank and she joins Booker and Vic.
They lock up and Asuka with a wrist lock and Perez with a reversal into a hammer lock. Asuka with a fireman's carry into an arm bar. Perez with a head scissors and Asuka escapes. Perez with a waist lock and a side head lock. Perez with a shoulder tackle and Asuka stays on her feet. Perez slaps Asuka and she tells Asuka to bring it. Asuka misses a series of punches and Perez with a flying shoulder tackle. Asuka goes to the floor and she connects with a forearm when Perez goes for a suicide dive. Asuka goes up top and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall. Asuka with Kawada kicks and she hits a running hip into the corner. Asuka chokes Perez in the corner. Asuka with an arm bar. Perez with a forearm and Asuka adds pressure to the wrist lock. Asuka with kicks to the head. Asuka with more kicks and Perez tells Asuka to do more. Perez with forearms and windmill punches. Perez with a drop kick.
Perez with a side Russian leg sweep. Perez with a suicide dive and she sends Asuka back into the ring. Perez with a running uppercut into the corner but Asuka with a back elbow when Perez tries for a second one. Perez kicks Asuka and then connects with forearms in the turnbuckles. Perez with a cross body for a near fall. Perez with forearms but Asuka with a kick to the midsection for a near fall. Asuka sets for the Asuka Lock but Perez with a rollup for a near fall. Perez with a rollup for a near fall. Asuka locks in the Asuka Lock but Perez floats over and gets a near fall. Asuka with a back heel kick and back fist followed by a spinning back heel kick. Asuka with a round kick for the three count.
Winner: Asuka
After the match, Kiana James gets in the ring and has some words for Perez. Shotzi gets in the ring and she hits the fisherman's DDT on James.
We see footage from earlier today when Paul Heyman arrived at the building and he complains about what door he has to enter to get into the building.
Gallus is in the locker room and Joe is ready to hurt people. He says it is time to show everyone who they are.
Butch says he needs the man he battled with all over Europe. He needs the Big Strong Boy he battled with in Chicago. Ridge shows up and says it is Fight Night.
Match Number Two: Butch, Tyler Bate, and Ridge Holland versus Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang in a Pub Rules Match
Gallus attacks British Strong Brutes and Bate with a plancha onto everyone. Bate with a forearm to Wolfgang on the floor. Bate gets a pool cue and he puts the eyeball in the corner pocket. Butch stabs Joe in the hand with a dart. Butch with a knee off the apron to Joe. Mark cannot get the extinguisher to work so Ridge hits him with a trash can lid. Ridge sprays Mark and puts him in the trash can. Bate with a bowling ball. Joe knocks Butch off the apron and hits a Glasgow Sendoff into the ring steps. Bate with a rebound lariat to Joe on the floor. Wolfgang and Mark hot shot Bate onto the apron. Gallus with a Cerberus Bomb to Butch through a bar.
Mark punches Bate. Wolfgang slams Bate's throat into the edge of the apron. Joe sprays Bate with the fire extinguisher. Mark with a forearm and Wolfgang rakes the eyes and works on the neck while Mark kicks him. Joe with Irish whips to Bate followed by a back breaker. Joe gets a near fall. Mark sets up a keg in the ring and Wolfgang hot shots Bate onto the keg. Wolfgang gets a near fall. Ridge hits Joe, Mark, and Wolfgang with a keg and then he hits Joe and Wolfgang again. Ridge with a spinebuster to Mark on a trash can. Ridge gets a pipe and hits Mark and Wolfgang. Joe and Ridge square off and Ridge gets the advantage. Mark and Wolfgang hold Ridge for Joe. Ridge is Irish whipped into a keg in the corner. Butch with an enzuigiri to Joe and he stomps on Wolfgang's elbow. Both teams set up on each side of the ring and they charge at each other and it turns into a scene from Gangs of New York.
Butch with a moonsault off the turnbuckles to Joe on the floor. Tyler and Ridge with airplane spins to Mark and Wolfgang. Bate with a clothesline to Wolfgang and it is time for stereo forearms to Gallus Gallus is sent back int he ring and they fall victim to jabs. Bate with a clothesline into a German suplex from Butch to Mark for a near fall. Butch and Ridge are sent to the floor and Wolfgang with a somersault pescado onto Ridge and Butch. Joe and Bate with punches to each other. Bate with a knee lift to Joe and he goes to the turnbuckles for a corkscrew back elbow but Joe catches Bate and hits a German suplex. Joe has Bate in a submission but Ridge hits Joe with a pool cue. Bate with a crossface on Wolfgang while Butch has Mark in a triangle. Ridge with a Boston Crab on Joe. Mark power bombs Butch onto Bate and then Joe escapes the hold.
Bate and Wolfgang exchange punches and Butch knocks Bate down. Wolfgang with a splash to Butch and a power slam but Bate with a Spiral Tap to break up the cover. Ridge pulls a table from under the ring because we need to be reminded that they are the faces. Bate sets up the table in the ring. Wolfgang with a uranage to Bate. Ridge sends Wolfgang and Mark over the top rope to the floor. Joe with a forearm and a double jump cross body. Butch with an enzuigiri to Joe to stop a power bomb on Ridge. Joe with All the Best for the Bells to Butch and he puts Butch on the table. Joe takes a beer and he pours it on Butch. Bate hits Joe with a mug and Joe is sent through the table with a Cerberus Bomb for the three count.
Winners: Tyler Bate, Butch, and Ridge Holland.
We have a video for Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria and their match in two weeks. We see Becky watching Lyra train in 2018.
McKenzie is with Lyra.
Tegan shows up to congratulate Lyra on her win. Lyra says Tegan looked like she had a chance to beat Becky. Tegan tells Lyra her title match has to wait since she came so close. Lyra says she has been waiting for this her entire career and you couldn't get the job done last night. Lyra says she is not going to let anyone get in her way.
John Cena walks in the back as we go to commercial.
John Cena makes his way to the ring.
John says that is the most street cred he has gotten in the last 15 years. John says everyone talks about how NXT is the future. He says they can't see that they are making history tonight. Cody Rhodes is the GM, LA Knight is a referee, they turned this place into a pub, you sang his theme song. That is what makes this place beautiful and great. This is what happens every Tuesday night. To be here, there is nothing like it. Cena says it is long overdue. He says it is his honor to be able to share space with all of you tonight. Cena says he is not alone. That is why LA Knight and Cody Rhodes are here. Cena says gratitude is a core value of his and he thanks everyone for making this a place that everyone wants to visit.
Cena says they are Smackdown, they are Raw, and they are NXT. That is why when Carmelo Hayes called him, he couldn't say yes fast enough. Carmelo is loyal to his friends and he thanks Carmelo for giving him to chance to be in his corner for his match against Bron Breakker.
Bron Breakker's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Bron asks John how is he doing while the crowd puts Bron Breakker in the way they used to treat Cena and Cena says he likes it with the new lyrics.
Bron says it is a big night for NXT and for WWE. Bron says these people didn't come here to see you John. Bron says they came here to see him. You have everyone fooled to think that Carmelo Hayes has a chance to beat Bron. To have the greatest of all time in his corner.
Cena says everyone knows the business is in your blood. You are athletically gifted. We also know that your glaring weakness is your attitude. You lack respect. Cena says he didn't come out to run Bron down, but now that you are out here . . . Cena says this is a teachable moment. He says he is excited for Bron's match and he respectfully wishes Bron good luck tonight.
Cena offers his hand and Bron punches Cena. Bron sets for a spear and misses it. Cena gets Bron up for an Attitude Adjustment but Bron escapes and goes to the floor.
