WWE NXT REPORT: THE BREAKOUT TOURNAMENT BEGINS, NORTH AMERICAN TITLE REMATCH, BECKY HAS A NEW CHALLENGER, JOHN, CODY, AND ASUKA WILL BE ON NEXT WEEK, ALONG WITH THE WISE MAN

Match Number Two:  Indi Hartwell versus Roxanne Perez versus Lyra Valkyria in a Number One Contender Match

They start off with a Perez and Lyra kicking Indi and connecting with pucnhes.  Perez and Lyra with a double suplex to Indi and they send her to the floor.  Perez and Lyra shake hands before locking up.  Lyra with a cravate and take down for a near fall.  Perez with a wrist lock and a La Magistral into a bridge for a near fall.  Perez with a side head lock.  Perez with a shoulder tackle but Lyra stays on her feet.  Indi slams Lyra and then she slams Perez.  Indi sends Perez to the apron for an uppercut and boot to the head.  Indi sends Lyra to the apron and connects with a boot to the head for a near fall.  Indi with a suplex for a near fall on Lyra.  Perez with a victory roll on Indi into a bridge for a near fall.  Perez with kicks to the leg.  Perez with a satellite head scissors that sends Indi to the floor.  Lyra kicks Perez in the chest and Perez goes to the floor.  Lyra with a drop kick through the ropes to Perez.

Lyra with a drop kick through the ropes that Indi catches.  Lyra with a kick and head butt to the midsection.  Perez with a suicide dive to Lyra.  Indi kicks Perez.  Indi sends Perez back into the ring and she gets a near fall.  Indi kicks Perez in the corner.  Indi with a hard Irish whip to Perez.  Indi kicks Perez but Perez with a rollup for a near fall.  Indi with a clothesline to Perez for a near fall.  Indi with an arm bar.  Perez with punches but Indi with a knee and she gets Perez on her shoulders.  Lyra drop kicks Indi and Indi with a Samoan drop to Perez.  Lyra gets a near fall on Indi.  Lyra with a reverse chin lock on Indi and she turns it into a hammer lock using the leg.  Lyra works on the other hand and applies a wrist lock.  Lyra with a slam to Indi followed by an elbow drop for a near fall.  Lyra kicks Indi against the ropes.

Lyra with a snap mare but she misses an elbow drop when Indi moves.  Indi with a double leg take down for a near fall.  Indi and Lyra exchange forearms while Perez gets on the turnbuckles.  Indi with a kick and elbow followed by an Irish whip.  Perez with a cross body to Indi and a drop kick to send Lyra into the turnbuckles.  Perez with running uppercuts.  Lyra with a splash to Indi and Perez with a side Russian leg sweep to Lyra for a near fall.  Perez with punches to Indi and Perez with a rana.  Perez with a victory bomb to Indi for a near fall.  Perez with a sleeper and body scissors on Indi.  Indi backs Perez into the turnbuckles.  Perez with a back elbow and she goes to the turnbuckles for a Thesz Press followed by punches.

Perez with a forearm and a floatover but Lyra with a missile drop kick to Indi and Perez.  Lyra with kicks to Indi and Perez.  Lyra with a back heel kick to Indi followed by a head butt.  Perez sends Lyra's foot into Indi.  Lyra with enzuigiris to Perez and Indi.  Lyra with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall on Perez.  Indi stops Lyra on the turnbuckles and Indi with punches to the back.  Lyra stops Indi and Perez punches Lyra on the turnbuckles.  Perez with a Frankensteiner and Indi with a running shoulder tackle to Perez for a near fall.  Lyra with windmill forearms.  Lyra with a sunset flip on Indi for a near fall.  Indi kicks Lyra to the floor.  Indi misses a charge into the corner and Perez with Pop Rox to Indi but Kiana James pulls Perez out of the ring.  Lynch kicks James and Lyra with a frog splash for the three count.

Winner:  Lyra Valkyria

Bekcy and Lyra stand in the ring when Tegan Nox's music plays and she makes her way to the ring since she will be facing Becky on Monday.

Carmelo Hayes walks in the back and Bron Breakker stops him.  Bron tells Hayes to cut the crap.  He says he is the only one who knows how Hayes feels.  When you lost on Saturday, they started chanting for Ilja.  No more Melo chants.  Bron says he can tell that it is bothering Hayes.  All that frustration and rage.  He tells Hayes to listen to the most dominant NXT champion and use that rage and take it out on everyone, especially Trick.

Hayes tells Bron to leave Trick out of it.

Bron asks Hayes where was Trick on Saturday.  Was he waiting for you in Gorilla after you lost?  You had to find him.

We take a look at what happened between Gigi Dolin and Blair Davenport on the Kickoff Show because their match is next.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Ilja is presented the title belt with the new side plates.

Baron Corbin shows up and Ilja says this is a champoins moment.

Baron says he is the only person besides Melo to beat him.  

Baron mentions that he beat Bron Breakker at No Mercy so no one stands in his way for the title.

Ilja says he disagrees.

Baron tells Ilja to go get the photos taken with the title while you still have it.

Match Number Three;  Blair Davenport versus Gigi Dolin

Gigi attacks Blair from behind and they fight into the smoke at ringside.  Gigi sends Blair into the ringside barrier a few times.  They get back into the ring and the match is started.

Gigi puts Blair in the ropes and she stretches Blair.  Gigi with a drop kick to the back and then a drop kick against the ropes for a near fall.  Gigi with an Irish whip but she misses a splash.  Gigi catapults Blair to the turnbuckles and Blair lands on the turnbuckles.  Blair with a kick and a double stomp to the back for a near fall.  Blair with a knee to the back followed by a kick.  Gigi with a head butt to the midsection but Blair with an arm wringer and a double stomp to the back for a near fall.  Blair with a back heel kick followed by a snap mare.  Blair misses an elbow drop but Gigi wtih a forearm.  They exchange forearms.  Blair with a kick and Gig blocks a kick and hits a dragon screw.

Gigi clotheslines Blair over the top rope to the floor.  Blair sends Gigi into the announce table.  Blair gets a chair and she misses Gigi when Gigi moves.  Gigi with a round kick and they return to the ring.  Gigi with a forearm and knee to the head.  Gigi with clotheslines and an STO.  Gigi with a round kick to the head for a near fall.  Gigi gets the chair and brings it into the ring.  Gigi sets to hit Blair with it but the referee stops her.  Blair with a forearm and she wants to use the chair but the referee stops her.  GIgi with a rollup for the three count.

Winner:  Gigi Dolin

After the match, Blair grabs the referee and tells Gigi it isn't over.

We take a look at Roxanne Perez winning the Breakout Tournament last year.

Kiana James is with McKenzie and she is asked why did she get involved in the triple threat match.

Kiana says Roxanne has been the golden child of NXT since she walked in the door.  She wasn't going to let Roxanne get another title match.  Kiana says she is in the Breakout tournament.  She was a tag team champion, just like Roxanne.  She wants everyone to know that she is better than Roxanne.  Kiana says she will be facing Roxanne if Roxanne can get past her opponent next week.

Kiana says Roxanne will face Asuka next week.

We go to commercial.

The eight participants in the Breakout Tournament make their way into the aisle.

Match Number Four: Kelani Jordan versus Izzi Dame in a First Round Match in the 2023 Breakout Tournament

They lock up and Izzi with a wrist lock.  Izzi works on the arm and Jordan goes to the turnbuckles for a springboard escape and reversal.  Jordan with a wrist lock and Izzi with a back elbow and shoulder tackle.  Izzi catches Jordan on a leap frog but Jordan goes for a sunset flip.  Izzi blocks a Tiger Feint arm drag and sends Jordan into the ropes.  Izzi with a splash for a near fall.  Izzi slams Jordan's head into the mat.  Jordan goes for a cross body but Izzi catches Jordan and gives her a slam.  Izzi with a splash.  Izzi with an Irish whip and back breaker.  Izzi stomps on the rope to drive it into Jordan's throat.  Izzi with an arm bar and chin bar.  Izzi with a rear chin lock.

Jordan with elbows and Izzi with a knee to the midsection.  Izzi gets Jordan on her shoulder for a back breaker.  Jordan powers out of the hold and gets a near fall with a sunset flip.  Izzi misses a kick and hits the ropes.  Jordan with a drop toe hold and a Tiger Feint arm drag and drop kick.  Jordan with another drop kick.  Jordan goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall.  Jordan goes for a Playmaker but Izzi with a kick for a near fall.  Izzi with an Irish whip.  Jordan avoids a splash in the corner.  Jordan with a kick and a split legged moonsault for the three count.

Winner:  Kelani Jordan (advances to face winner of Arianna Grace versus Jakara Jackson)

We take a look at some social media banter involving Jacy Jayne, Thea Hail, Elektra Lopez, and Lola Vice.

Duke Hudson and Andre Chase walk in the back and they see Jacy Jayne and the New Thea Hail.

Andre asks Thea if they can support her at ringside.

Jacy asks if they are going to be chaperones.

Thea says she doesn't think it is necessary.

Jacy says it would work since they would be supporting both of them at ringside.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the Brian Pillman Jr. video package.

Match Number Five:  Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez versus Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail (with Andre Chase and Duke Hudson)

Thea with a head lock and a side head lock take down on Lopez.  Lopez blocks an arm drag and Lopez with a slam.  Lopez with forearms and an elbow drop for a near fall.  Vice tags in and kicks Thea.  Vice with knees and a scissors kick for a near fall.  Lola with a reverse chin lock.  Thea blocks a kick and takes Lola to the mat.  Lola kicks Thea to keep her from making the tag.  Lola punches Jacy and the referee holds Jacy back.  Lola with an Irish whip and punches in the corner.  Lola with an Irish wihp but she misses a splash.  Lola stops Thea again and Thea kicks Lola and makes the tag to Jacy.  Jacy with a clothesline to Lola and a forearm to Lopez.  Jacy with a forearm and enzuigiri.  Jacy with a running hip into the corner and a running neck breaker for a near fall.

Jacy gets Lola on her shoulders but Lola escapes.  Lola with a clothesline and Lopez tags in.  Lopez with an Irish whip and she misses a shoulder in the corner.  Jacy with a rolling elbow and Thea wants the tag.  Thea tags in and she applies the kimura and Lopez taps out.

Winners:  Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne

We go to Carmelo Hayes in the Most Dangerous Parking Lot.

He is asked if he is going to take Bron's advice.  Hayes says asked for a match against Bron Breakker.  Hayes says he got some advice from John Cena and Hayes says John Cena will have his back and be in his corner.

Match Number Six:  Dominik Mysterio (with Rhea Ripley) versus Trick Williams for the NXT North American Championship

Dom kicks Trick in the back and he connects with a punch.  Trick with a drop kick but Dom escapes a slam attempt.  Trick with a pop up uppercut and Dom goes to the floor.  Trick goes after Dom on the floor but Dom gets back into the ring and back to the floor.  Dom punches Trick and he tries to send Trick into the announce table.  Trick blocks it and he sends Dom into the announce table and follows with a punch.  Trick sends Dom back into the ring and he punches Dom.  Trick with a reverse chin lock.  Dom with elbows but Trick holds on to the side head lock and takes Dom back to the mat.  

Damian Priest and Finn Balor show up as Dom hits a belly-to-back suplex on Trick.  Dom punches Trick.  Dom with a corkscrew back elbow for a near fall.  Dom with a reverse chin lock.  Trick with elbows and Dom with a knee.  Dom with a hard Irish whip or two.  Dom with a slingshot senton for a near fall.  Dom chokes Trick in the ropes.  Rhea has some words for Trick while Dom hits boots to the back.  Dom with two suplexes but Trick blocks the third amigo and Trick hits a neck breaker.  Trick with forearms and punches to Dom.  Trick with an uppercut and a jumping leg lariat.  Trick with a flapjack.  Dom with a super kick and a cross body but Trick catches Dom and slams him.  Trick with boots to Dom.  Trick with a uranage and he gets a near fall.  

Rhea pushes her title belt into the ring and gets on the apron.  Dom with a DDT onto the belt and he gets a near fall.  Trick with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Dom with punches and a knee to the midsection and kicks.  Dom with a catapult that sends Trick into the ropes.  Dom with a 619 and then Dom goes up top for the frog splash and Trick gets his knees up.  Trick with a jumping knee.  JD McDonagh tries to interfere.but Trick stops him.  Finn hits Trick with his title belt while the referee takes the briefcase from Dom.

Dom with a frog splash for the three count.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio (new champion)

Paul Heyman says next week on NXT, Carmelo Hayes will renew his rivalry with Bron Breakker.  This is the same Carmelo Hayes who is getting advice from the second greatest of all time, John Cena.  The same John Cena getting involved with Bloodline business.  The Greatest of All Time, Roman Reigns will allow Paul Heyman to provide advice to Bron Breakker in Bron Breakker's corner.
