9/30 COLLISION REPORT

It is Saturday and AEW Collision Is live at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA.  Our commentary team is Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness. 

We have the opening promos. 

Juice Robinson w/The Gunns vs Andrade El Idolo

We are shown the beatdown on Jay White at the end of Dynamite. Nigel says MJF is clearly behind it, but Kevin says it’s not that clear. 

Andrade and Juice shove each other and then go head to head. Andrade quickly tries for the figure four and Juice bails from the ring to regroup. Juice gets in the ring when Andrade comes out to meet him and Andrade hits Juice from the top rope and then goes for the Three Amigos into a two count. Andrade goes up again and Juice bails again, but Andrade leaps onto him and the Gunns from the top to the floor. Juice is tossed into the ring and when Andrade goes to get in the ring, the Gunns grab him, and Juice knocks him to the floor.

The Gunns beat down Andrade when the ref is distracted and then Juice joins in and the Gunns back off when the ref comes over. Juice pulls Andrade into the ring and hits a neckbreaker for two. Andrade is able to get up and they trade chops, but Juice drops Andrade and hits a senton for two. Andrade whips Juice to the corner and then mounts for nine shots, and Juice pulls him out and drops him on the top turnbuckle. Juice then charges for a cannonball as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Juice hits a snap mare followed by a rear chinlock to hold Andrade down. Andrade works his way up and Juice cuts him off and hits a side suplex. Juice blows his nose on the prone Andrade. Juice verbally mocks him and Andrade nails him with a slap. Andrade hits a pair of dragon screws, and then follows with a flying forearm and they are both down.

CJ is watching in the back and taking notes.

Andrade is up first and goes to the top, hitting the double moonsault,  but Juice gets his knees up. Juice hits a leg lariat for two. Andrade suplexes Juice into the middle turnbuckle and Andrade calls for the charge, and Juice pulls the ref in front of himself. Juice pokes the eye, hits the Left Hand of God and a power bomb for two.  

Juice goes to the top and hits a flying cross body, but he and Andrade counter each other with Juice getting a small package for two. Andrade gets the running knees in the corner. The Gunn try to distract the ref so they can attack Andrade, but the ref catches them and they are ejected. Juice uses this for a rollup with a handful of tights for two.

Andrade hits a back elbow for two. Andrade then hits the front suplex for the pin and the win.

Winner: Andrade El Idolo

Tony Schiavone is in the back to talk about how they are former rivals now teaming up to go after the Gates of Agony to see if they can work together. Kenya says he still doesn’t like Jericho and they are not going to go for the title, but for the next two nights, they will have each other’s backs.

RJ City is with Toni Storm and she looks incredibly irritated. RJ asks what the peak of her career is, and she says she peaks constantly and will peak and peak again. She grabs RJ’s hand and talks about how much she loved the old days. Storm asks if he’s flirting with her. She says he’s not and she’s mad asking if she’s not good enough for her.

The Kingdom (Mike Bennett and Matt Taven) vs Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta)

The Kingdom come to the ring with their luggage.MIke is wearing a shirt that reads “Punch them in the weiner and hit them with a pile driver.” 

The Kingdom tries to attack before the bell, but the Best Friends fight them off. Trent and Bennett start off, and the Best Friends are able to work him over with quick tags. Taven is able to tag in drops Beretta with a drop kick. Chuck tags in and gets whipped into the ropes as Bennett kicks him in the back. Chuck is knocked to the outside and Bennett hits a drop kick on him through the ropes to the floor.

Beretta then leaps over the top into Bennett and all four brawl around the ring as we go to picture in picture. 

When we return to full screen, Chuck has been the babyface in peril and The Kingdom work him over, but he is able to tag in Beretta who cleans house. He ends the sequence with a double drop kick from the top onto the Kingdom. He hits a DDT on Taven for two. Taven is able to get some blows in and tag in Bennett, and they double team and cover Beretta for two. 

Outside the ring, Chuck tosses Taven into the steel steps, and Bennett leaves the ring to hit an el;bow on Chuck. Bennett pulls Beretta and sets for a pile driver on the steel steps, but Beretta reverses into a Death Valley Driver on the steel steps. The Best Friend hit the drop kick doomsday machine and give the people when they want. The Best Friends then hit stereo pile drivers and Beretta covers Bennett for two and Bennett gets a foot on the ropes.

Bennett gets a pair of low blow and the Kingdom get the spike piledriver for the pin and the win on Beretta

Winners: The Kingdom

After the match they say they have to get on a plane to be at Roderick Strong’s side and Cole should delay his surgery, and if they ever meant anything to him, they need to meet him at Roddy’s house.

In the back Alex Marvez is with Don Callis and Prince Nana. Don leaves and Nana says that if you dig deep into the universe, you will find something that is very unique, and after the match with the Gates of Agony vs Jericho and Omega, he will be in the money.

We get a video highlighting Julia Hart to promote the match with Kris Statlander at Wrestle Dream with a lot of strange goth-y imagery. 

Julia Hart w/Brody King vs The Already In The Ring Vertvixen

Julia gets a flying forearm and then mounts Vertvixen and slams her head repeatedly on the mat. Julia locks her up in the ropes for a choke that she breaks at four. Julie works over Vertvixen in the corner and then hits a snap mare and a kick. Vertvixen dodges a charge in the corner and gets in a little offense before Hart cuts her off with a stomp. Hart hits a moonsault from the top for the pin and the win. 

Winner: Julia Hart

Julia calls Kris Statlander out after the match and wants to face her right now.

And Kris Statlander obliges her with the Best Friends behind her. 

Brody King stands in front of Julia  and the Best Friends get in front of Kris in the ring. Julia and Kris tell them to step aside. Julia raises a hand to strike and then rolls out of the ring.

Kris grabs the mic and says she can’t run away tomorrow. 

We then get a video package about Claudio Castagnoli and we see that Josh Barnett is answering his challenge tomorrow night.
