The challenger is out first. Then came the champ. Man, Rhea has a major league presence to her. She;’s money. Raquel can go with her. We have seen it before. Let’s see it again.
These are two strong women doing strong women things, like Rhea blowing some bloody snot out of her nose type of things. Either one of them could whoop my ass.
Rhea has been in control for the early part of the match. She’s a freaking machine and I mean that in the most complimentary way.
Rhea has been in total control so there has to be a comeback coming right?
Raquel made a bit of a comeback and Rhea went to the knee. She put on the knee lock but Raquel got out. But Rhea was back in control in now time. I was hoping this would be more like their NXT match but it hasn’t been. Well, until now. Raquel just whipped Rhea into the barricade, and then the post.
That brought out Dirty Dom. Raquel did a walking power slam. But that let Rhea go back to the knee. Riptide, 1-2-3.
Rhea is awesome but I hoped Raquel would come out looking stronger. She didn’t.
As host, John Cena decided he could be a backstage correspondent and he interviewed Balor and Priest. Priest said that they are family and they will fight at time but they are now the champs and they are going out to party.
Fastlane takes place in Indianapolis on 10/7. Be there.
Seth Rollins defending against Shinsuke Nakamura is your main event and it’s next!
Good build from both guys, champ out first then the challenger. I wish that this was the Shinsuke that had just come up from NXT. But, it is what it is and the crowd is super live for it. They have been great all night. Congrats to the Burgh.
They are taking it slow early on.
It’s so weird to hear them talk about Seth’s back when he does a tope. I broke a bone in my L5 so I get it’s an issue. But it wasn’t broken for years like they say Seth’s is. It heals and it hurts at times but it’s but it’s not always broken. I digress.
Shin is working over the champ and is in control right now.
Shin kept on the offensive for a while as Seth tried to come back. The story is about his back and he’s selling it.
Seth finally made a comeback and hit a frog splash but Shin kicked out at two.
Seth came back and now he is pissed at Shin for making his wife worry about the state of his back. He missed a stomp and Shin went for a Sleeper. But Shin hit a flying knee for a two.
And now they are going back and forth. Can Shin get the submission? No, Seth with a sit out powerbomb. We continue!
They are selling the abuse of the match, which has been pretty old school.
Now they are throwing hands. And arms. And legs.
Shin hit a Landslide but Seth kicked out. Shin hit a Shinkasa. He went for a second but Seth stayed down. Shin went over and grabbed him. Seth slapped. And did it again. But Shin threw strikes and Seth is in a heap. Out of nowhere Rollins hit a Pedigree. He went for the Stomp but ran into a knee. He then hit a stomp out of nowhere and got the pin.
They had a really good match and got me as invested as I could get while knowing that there is no way the champ would lose. I give them a lot of credit for being able to do that.
Overall it was a really good show with an amazing cage match.
