Lyra Valkyria almost won the title at Battleground. She says she needs to have a short term memory when it comes to her failures. A true champion overcomes great odds. She will continue to raise herself from her defeat and soar over the battlefields of NXT.
Jacy Jayne is in the locker room and she says what is Lyra about.
Elektra and Jacy have some words and then Lola Vice mentions that Lyra eliminated Jacy.
We are back and Robert Stone and Von Wagner are talking about his therapist and Von says he is seeing a lot of her.
Dijak walks by and he tells Stone to rep a real winner.
Von says he is done talking about therapy.
Stone asks Von why hasn't he talked to her about the photo.
Stone asks who does Von want here to discuss it with.
Von says for being a smart person, Stone can be stupid. Von says it has always been Stone.
Match Number Four: Dabba-Kato versus Axiom and Scrypts
Dabba goes to the floor before the match and then Dabba misses a double clothesline.
The match starts and Dabba with a forearm and he sends him to the mat. Scrypts comes off the turnbuckles and Dabba with a punch. Dabba sends Scrypts onto Axiom and then hits a forearm to the back. Axiom makes the tag and Dabba has both men by the leg and they hit a double enzuigiri. Dabba kicks Scrypts but Axiom with a guillotine. Dabba gets Axiom up and drops him to the mat. Dabba picks Axiom up by the throat and Aximo lands on his feet on a choke slam attempt. Axiom with a drop kick and Scrypts tags in. Scrypts kicks Dabba and punches him. Scrypts sends Dabba to the floor and he hits a suicide dive but bounces of Dabba. Axiom with a suicide dive and he bounces off Dabba.
Axiom tags in and he flips Scrypts over the top rope onto Dabba. Axiom with a moonsault off the turnbuckles onto Dabba. Scrypts goes up top and he hits a moonsault. Axiom sets for the Golden Ratio and hits it for the three count.
Winners: Scrypts and Axiom
After the match, Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza attack Scrypts and Axiom. Garza with a kick to Axiom.
We are told that next week, Wes Lee faces Tyler Bate for the North American Championship with Mustafa Ali as guest referee. In two weeks, Thea Hail faces Tiffany Stratton for the Women's Championship.
We go to Channing Lorenzo trying to figure out who screwed over Tony D'Angelo. He says it has to be Gallus. Gallus knew that Tony and him were going to win the tag titles. Channing says don't get angry, get even. He needs to get Tony out of prison. He says if he wants to get the Big C he has to make the big moves.
We go to commercial.
Duke Hudson tells Thea he is proud of her. She has stood up for herself, she has been training with Charlie and Drew, she won the battle royal, then she beats Cora, and she is going to be the youngest NXT champion. Next week, there is going to be a pep rally to pump her up.
Tiffany Stratton tells Thea to use her inside voice. She says she loves the underdog story but this time the underdog doesn't win.
Drew and Charlie says that there is no guarantee she is going to win and you have a pep rally set up? She needs to train.
Thea says she will see Drew and Charlie in the gym.
Match Number Five: Edris Enofe versus Malik Blade
They lock up and go around the ring.
Hank and Tank come to ringside to watch the match.
Edris with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Edris goes for a sunset flip but Malik counters it. Malik with a rollup for a near fall.
Brooks and Josh are at ringside as well.
Edris misses a clothesline when Malik holds on to the ropes. Malik with a drop kick and a kick to Edris on the apron. Malik goes for a sunset flip power bomb onto the floor but Edris holds on to the ropes and escapes. Edris with a clothesline on the floor. Edris with a flip dive but Malik was already back in the ring. Malik with a flip dive. Malik goes up top and Edris with a forearm. Edris with another forearm. Edris sets for a superplex. Edris with a superplex and Edris gets a near fall with an inside cradle. Malik rolls over and gets the three count.
Winner: Malik Blade
After the match, they shake hands. Edris says he knows when Malik's birthday is and then they hug.
Booker T says that was a beautiful moment but it is time to get down to business. They will be in a Triple Threat match next week. The winner faces Gallus for the tag titles the next week.
We see Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza on the HBalKony.
In the ring, all three teams battle.
Kelly asks them what are they doing.
Angel says there is a lot of excitement in NXT and they want to be part of it.
We see Damon Kemp showing the referee his mistakes. The referee apologizes.
Eddy Thorpe shows up and he asks if Damon is starting fights with the referee.
Kemp says Thorpe got a cheap victory because his foot was on the ropes.
Eddy tells Damon they can do it again in any type of match he wants.
Damon says he will think about it and he tells Eddy he should have taken the cheap victories.
We are back with a Blair Davenport video. She says she single handedly derailed the future. She shows where she took out Nikkita Lyons. Then we see where she took out Wendy Choo. She then mentions the attack on Sol Ruca. Blair says her route to the top is easier. They are worried to get on her good side.
Roxanne Perez you were saved this time, but her capacity for savagery is boundless.
Match Number Six: Roxanne Perez versus Tatum Paxley
Perez tries for a drop toe hold but Paxley does not go down. Perez with a rollup for a near fall. Perez with another rollup for a near fall. Roxanne with a handstand satellite head scissors take down. Tatum runs Perez into the ropes and hits a hanging butterfly suplex for a near fall. Tatum with a Boston Crab. Perez counters with a rollup for a near fall. Tatum with a spinning flatliner for a near fall. Tatum with kicks to the leg and she tries for another Boston Crab but Perez with a rollup for a near fall. Perez with punches and forearms. Perez with a springboard cross body and punches. Paxley goes to the floor and Perez with a suicide dive. They return to the ring. Tatum blocks the side Russian leg sweep and sends Perez to the mat. Perez with a sunset flip for the three count.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
After the match, Perez tells Blair she has hidden in the shadows for months and put a dent into the women's locker room. Perez says she is not afraid of Blair. You didn't get me the way you wanted to get me. I am hunting for you. She promises that she will get Blair.
Gigi Dolin is in the back and Fallon Henley stops by. Gigi says she wishes she had eliminated herself instead of Kiana James. Fallon and Gigi both talk about how much they hate Kiana. Gigi says Kiana fears what she doesn't understand. Fallon tells Gigi that Kiana is a snake so she needs to be careful.
Baron Corbin and Ilja Dragunov walk in the back as we go to commercial.
We are back with a video for Lucien Price and Bronco Nima showing where it all started. They have each other and that is all they need. They tried to separate them but they are still together. They say NXT ain't ready for them.
Next week, Dana Brooke faces Cora Jade. We will also have the Number One Contender Match for the Men's Tag Titles. The World Championship and North American Championships will be defended.
Match Number Seven: Ilja Dragunov versus Baron Corbin in a Number One Contender Match
They lock up and Corbin with forearms and a shoulder tackle. Ilja with a boot to Corbin followed by forearms in the corner. Ilja sends Corbin into the turnbuckles and connects with knees. Ilja sends Corbin into the turnbuckles. Corbin with a chop. Ilja with a chop and then he rips off Corbin's shirt and chops him again. Ilja with a kick to the back. Ilja with more chops and Corbin with a hot shot and clothesline. Corbin with a punch and he misses a short arm clothesline. Ilja with a German suplex and he holds on for a second one. Ilja holds on but Corbin gets to the ropes to prevent a third one. Corbin with a back elbow on the break and Ilja with Konstantin Special. Corbin goes to the floor.
Ilja with a forearm to the back and he chops Corbin against the ringside barrier. Corbin is sent back into the ring. Corbin knocks Ilja off the apron and then he sends Ilja into the ringside barrier. Ilja with an elbow but Corbin with an elbow. Corbin with kicks to the ribs. Corbin with forearms and elbows to the back. Ilja with a rear naked choke. Corbin escapes the hold by sending Ilja over the top rope and Ilja lands on the apron. Corbin with a choke slam on the apron. Corbin with elbows to the injured ribs. Corbin puts Ilja against the announce table and he connects with elbows to the ribs. Corbin sends Ilja face first into the apron.
Ilja with chops but Corbin with a choke breaker for a near fall. Corbin with an Irish whip but Ilja stops short and connects with a back elbow. Ilja with chops and he goes to the turnbuckles. Corbin knocks Ilja off the turnbuckles and hits a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Corbin with forearms to the lower back. Ilja with a chop and then they exchange forearms. Corbin with a punch to the ribs and Deep Six for a near fall. Ilja escapes End of Days and Ilja with knees and an enzuigiri. Ilja with a running knee into the corner and then he goes to the turnbuckles and hits a knee drop to the head. Ilja goes back to the turnbuckles. Ilja with a back senton but Ilja does more damage to his own ribs and he cannot make the cover.
Corbin goes for a choke slam but Ilja counters with a DDT. Ilja goes for a dead lift suplex and hits it. Ilja sets for Torpedo Moscow but Bron Breakker gets in the ring and he hits Breakker instead. Corbin with End of Days for the three count.
Winner: Baron Corbin
After the match, Breakker and Ilja fight to the back.
Carmelo Hayes attacks Corbin from behind and hits a drop kick and a springboard clothesline. Hayes with Nothing but Net.
