Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring.
Cody asks what do you want to talk about. He says last week he used his time to talk about his current opponent with respect. The crowd chants Sami's name and Cody says the destination is known but the path is foggy. Roman is putting up the title against the man with all of the momentum walking into his home town and that is Sami Zayn. Cody says this crowd seems like the perfect judge because he thinks he will be challenging Sami for the title at Wrestlemania. Cody says he has respect for anyone avenging being disrespected. He wishes Sami luck and says may the best man win.
Paul Heyman interrupts and introduces himself. Paul asks to enter the ring to join Cody.
Paul says what you may one day find out in your life, hopefully not at his expense is that life at the very top requires an understanding that the only week busier than the week leading into a big show like the Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania is the week coming out of that event. Paul says that they have a lot on their plate and a few things feel through the cracks. Paul says they want to congratulate Cody on winning the Royal Rumble.
Paul and Cody shake hands.
Cody says his father and brother had a nickname for Paul but he will call Paul 'Mr. Heyman'. Cody says he has an unparalleled respect for him and he thinks Paul knows why. Cody wants to pull back the curtain. Cody says the year was 2000 and the till in his family had dried up a bit. Hard Times was more than the promo. He says his family went broke. They had $100 in a bank account. He says his dad was doing local car commercials, not for the money but to keep the car.
Then he got a phone call . . . you called him. You said ECW was in town and Steve Corino was going to talk smack about him and if Dusty would agree to be on camera, he would pay Dusty and he would pay him well. You kept your word. In addition to the money they sorely needed, ECW gave his father his confidence back and Cody says he can never repay Paul for that. I
Turn the clock forward. He was somewhere else disrupting things, you showed him the way and Cody thanks him again.
Paul says Cody is good and caught him off guard. He says he was going to schmooz some business with him and you got him.
Paul says if they are going to shoot from the hip, let's go all the way. Paul says it is not about him. Paul says this isn't about your dad. It is about you and everything you have fought for from the bottom all the way up. Out the door and back in. To winning the Royal Rumble and main eventing Wrestlemania. Winning Wrestlemania is a whole different story. Just getting there is a long road. That is your story. That is the story you need to finish to show if it is a dream come true or the nightmare of coming just this close. You aren't trying to main event Wrestlemania, you are trying to take away from the greatest champion of all time. That is not an easy task for any mere mortal. Will you crumble or wither under the spotlight. No one ever prepped you for that. Right down the road is the WWE Performance Center and at that very Performance Center, your father, trained and prepped the biggest stars of this generation.

Paul says a person who your father did not train or prep is you.
Paul says he could counsel Cody that his father wanted him to make it on his own and step outside the shadow of a monument like Dusty. He didn't want him to be Dusty's son but Cody, the man who stopped Roman Reigns. Paul says he cannot convey how much he loved Cody's father. Paul says Cody's father loved him. Paul says in his last conversation with your dad, he told Paul that Cody was his favorite son, but Roman Reigns was the son he always wanted.
Paul drops the microphone and Cody walks up to Paul.
Cody offers his hand to Paul and then he grabs it to shake it.
Cody says he is trying to win a championship and everyone is trying to make it personal. You are not going to pay for it Mr. Heyman. Your boy Roman Reigns will pay for it at Wrestlemania when he takes those titles . . . personally.
Match Number Six: Montez Ford versus Elias in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match
They lock up and Montez backs Elias into the corner but Elias with a clean break. Elias with a side head lock and Elias holds on while Ford tries to send him off the ropes. Elias with a shoulder tackle for a near fall. Ford with a rollup for a near fall. Ford with an inside cradle for a near fall. Elias with a side head lock take down. Ford with a shoulder tackle and drop kick. Ford with a kick and Elias with a hot shot. Elias with chops and forearms in the corner. Elias with a kick and chop. Elias with a back body drop. Ford goes to the floor and Elias follows and sends Ford into the ringside barrier and he follows with a back drop driver onto the ring steps.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Elias stretches Ford and then hits a back breaker. Elias goes up top and Ford leaps to the turnbuckles to stop him. Elias with forearms to the back and Elias goes for a sunset flip power bomb but Ford holds on to the ropes and he punches Elias. Elias gets Ford on his shoulders and Elias with a spinning sit out power bomb for a near fall. Ford with a cross body and clotheslines followed by a flying clothesline. Ford with a belly-to-back suplex. Ford with a standing moonsault for a near fall. Ford with a punch and Elias with a forearm. Elias with a jumping knee and he gets Ford on his shoulders and hits a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.
Elias with shoulders in the corner. Ford sends Elias to the apron and Elias with a shoulder. Ford punches Elias when Elias goes for a springboard move. Ford with a flip dive over the ring post and then he goes up top for the Seven Star Frog Splash and the three count.
Winner: Montez Ford
After the match, Austin Theory leaves the announce table and he gets on the table to show Ford his title belt.
Seth Rollins comes out and trips Theory on the announce table. Rollins with Black Out on the floor.
We see Dakota Kai in the back on crutches with Iyo Sky and Bayley as Bayley prepares for her match against Becky Lynch.
The cage makes its way from the rafters to surround the ring.
We go to commercial.
Next week, we will have the Contract Signing between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley for Elimination Chamber. The six women in the Elimination Chamber will meet. Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya, and Liv Morgan will face Carmella, Asuka, and Nikki Cross. Seth Rollins will appear on MizTV.
Match Number Seven: Bayley (with Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai) versus Becky Lynch in a Steel Cage Match
Bayley with a forearm and she goes for the cage and Becky pulls Bayley back to the mat. Bayley pushes Becky and Becky pushes back. They exchange punches and forearms. Bayley goes after the leg and Becky with a leg sweep. Becky punches Bayley and avoids being sent into the cage. Bayley avoids being sent into the cage. Becky goes for DisArmHer but Bayley sends Becky into the cage. Bayley kicks Becky and pushes Becky against the cage. Bayley gets a near fall. Bayley climbs the cage and Becky drop kicks the cage and Bayley falls to the mat. Becky sends Bayley into the cage a few times.Becky with a baseball slide and a second one that sends Bayley into the cage. Becky kicks Bayley and Becky puts Bayley against the cage. Becky sends Bayley into the cage one more time. Becky climbs the cage and Bayley stops her. Becky kicks Bayley to the mat and Bayley grabs Becky's legs. They are both on the top rope and Becky sends Bayley's head into the cage. Bayley sends Becky into the cage and Bayley knocks Becky off the ropes to the mat.
Becky with an elbow drop for a near fall.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Becky with a flying shoulder tackle. We see footage from the breaks when Bayley hit a sunset flip power bomb into the turnbuckles. Bayley with a punch and Becky fires back. Becky with forearms and a European uppercut. Becky with an Irish whip but Bayley climbs the cage. Becky tries to pull Bayley off but Bayley holds on to the cage. They fight to the top rope and Becky with a springboard side kick and a leg drop to Bayley hanging on the ropes for a near fall. Becky goes for a uranage but Bayley counters into a Saito suplex for a near fall. Bayley climbs the cage and Becky grabs Bayley and sends Bayley into the cage. Becky with a leg drop but Bayley blocks it and applies a heel hook. Becky crawls to the cage door that has been opened. Bayley pulls Becky into the center of the ring but Becky sends Bayley into the turnbuckles for a near fall.
Becky slams Bayley's head into the cage. Becky climbs the turnbuckles and Bayley grabs Becky. Becky kicks Bayley away and Bayley gets back to the turnbuckles. Becky knocks Bayley to the mat again but Bayley stops Becky. Bayley with a belly-to-belly suplex from the ropes for a near fall. Bayley starts to climb the cage and she gets to the top but Becky climbs and stops Bayley before she can get over to start the descent. They fight on top of the cage and exchange forearms. Becky is slammed into the top of the cage and Becky with DisArmHer on the top of the cage. Bayley falls to the mat.
Iyo climbs the cage to stop Becky and Becky and Iyo exchange punches. Iyo forces Becky back into the ring. Dakota gives Bayley her crutch and hits Becky in the midsection with it.
Lita's music plays and Iyo stops on the cage. Lita jogs to the ring and she pulls Iyo off the cage. Lita pulls Dakota into the ring steps and then she hits Iyo with the crutch. Lita with a Twist of Fate on the floor to Iyo. Bayley tries to get out of the cage and Lita slams the door into Bayley Becky with a uranage for the three count.
Winner: Becky Lynch
