We start off with a look back at last week's show.
Match Number One: Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams versus Axiom and Apollo Crews
Axiom and Trick start things off and Axiom escapes a waist lock. Axiom with a wrist lock and Trick with a reversal. Axiom with a drop kick. They lock up and Trick misses a punch but Axiom misses a kick. Trick with a shoulder tackle and a second one. Trick misses a clothesline but he does not miss with a pop up punch. Trick sends Axiom into the corner and Hayes tags in. Axiom with a kick to Hayes and a chop to Williams. Axiom with a springboard arm drag and head scissors take down. Axiom with a springboard wrist lock and drop kick to Hayes. Crews tags in and Hayes with an Irish whip. Crews floats over and hits a drop kick.
Crews with a drop kick to Trick and a double Japanese arm drag. Crews with a side head lock take down. Hayes with a bicycle kick and a La Mistica for a near fall. Axiom tags in and Crews with a jumping knee and Axiom with a German suplex. Hayes goes to the floor and Trick checks on him. Crews press slams Axiom onto Hayes and Trick. Axiom rolls Hayes back into the ring and Axiom with a single leg take down. Axiom with a boot to the ribs. Hayes with a forearm and Trick tags in. Trick with a clothesline. Trick with a slam for a near fall. Hayes tags in and he punches Axiom. Hayes with a release fallaway slam but Axiom with a front face lock. Crews tags in and Crews with a drop toe hold and Axiom with a baseball slide. Crews gets a near fall.
Crews with a front face lock. Hayes with a reversal and Crews reverses back. Hayes with a hammer lock but Crews escapes and tags in Axiom. Axiom with a front face lock. Hayes goes for a suplex but Axiom counters with an inside cradle for a near fall. Both men with flying clotheslines and both men are down. Hayes with a waist lock and Axiom with a standing switch. Crews grabs Trick and they hit two German suplexes. Trick and Carmelo with standing switches and then Crews and Axiom land on their feet. Crews kicks Trick and Hayes blocks a kick from Axiom and Hayes swings the foot to kick Crews. Hayes with a springboard clothesline for a near fall. Trick tags in and kicks Axiom.
Hayes with a reverse chin lock on Axiom. Hayes with an Irish whip but Axiom drop kicks Trick off the apron. Crews tags in and he knocks Trick off the apron. Crews with a back heel kick and a front kick followed by a clothesline. Crews with a flying clothesline. Crews with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Crews with an enzuigiri. Crews presses Hayes over his feet and he drops Hayes behind him. Crews with a standing moonsault for a near fall. Axiom and Trick go to the floor and Axiom with a kick to Trick.
Hayes comes off the turnbuckles but Crews catches him. Hayes goes for a victory roll but Crews blocks it and gets the three count.
Winners: Axiom and Apollo Crews
Tony D’Angelo and Channing Lorenzo walk on a bridge and Channing asks why are they here. Tony says it is where things begin and some things end. Tony says Channing grew a lot and he has taken many bullets for him. Channing says he would do anything for Tony. He says he will be loyal to the end. He tells Tony to do what he has to do.
Tony tells Channing his days of being a soldier are over. It is time he becomes the Underboss. Tony shows the family crest and he lets Channing wear it.
They hug and Tony says he is proud of Channing.
We see footage from last week’s battle royal.
Gigi and Jacy walk in the back.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Tiffany Stratton is with McKenzie. Tiffany tells McKenzie to get with it.
McKenzie shows what happened when her locker room door was locked and Indi opens it up. Indi says it isn’t Tiffany’s locker room any more because she doesn’t deserve her own.
Tiffany says McKenzie probably enjoyed it. Tiffany complains about the way that Indi dresses. Tiffany says she has to show everyone that there is only one superstar in the women’s division and that it is her.
Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne make their way to the ring.
Jacy says they are not ones to say we told you so, but we told you so. Gigi says they told everyone that Alicia would announce them as the winners of the battle royal. Jacy gives kudos to Alicia.
Jacy says they enjoyed watching your minds explode when it got down to the two of them. People were thinking that Toxic Attraction is done and they are breaking up. Gigi says Jacy did try to eliminate her. Jacy says Gigi tried to eliminate her. Jacy says at the end of the day, they are a team. They landed on the floor together. Gigi says there is no jealousy. The Toxic Attraction revenge tour is going full steam to Charlotte.
Jacy says Roxanne will regret the day she became NXT Women’s Champion.
Lyra Valkyria interrupts and she says all she hears is a couple of toxic crows waiting to be heard. If not for Cora Jade, she would be on her way to Vengeance Day while you two argue over who is to blame. She says she will get her chance.
Jacy says she gets that Lyra is new. They have been champions longer than you have had wings. Gigi says they run things and she tells Lyra to go to the back of the line because you aren’t taking any of their shine.
Lyra says she is looking at two people who know they can’t beat Roxanne on her own so they have to do it together.
Gigi and Jacy attack Lyra and eventually, Roxanne’s music plays and Gigi and Jacy leave the ring.
Brutus says it is his turn with Jinder and Julius says he isn’t done.
Ivy says here we go again. Ivy wants to know what happened to the disciplined Creeds. You were the champions. Now you are going for revenge and you are falling apart. Ivy says she knew Julius was going to lose to Jinder. She tells them to grow a set and become the Creed Brothers again.
We go to commercial.
We are back with Stevie Turner.
She is going to talk about last week’s battle royal. She talks about Cora’s elimination and how she won’t get over that for a while. She brings up Kiana James and Fallon Henley working together as well as Valentina Feroz and Elektra Lopez. Stevie says it is everyone for themselves. She talks about Sol Ruca and Wendy Choo’s ways to save themselves and then Wendy’s elimination. She says no one expected the finish we saw. Stevie says she would have won the match if she was there. She says her in ring debut is coming.
Match Number Two: Alba Fyre versus Sol Ruca
They lock up and Alba with a waist lock take down for a near fall. Sol with a front face lock. Alba with an arm wringer but Sol with a cartwheel. Sol floats over in the corner and hits a cross body out of the corner for a near fall. Sol with a back slide for a near fall. Alba blocks a kick and gives Sol a leg sweep. Sol lands on her feet on a hip toss and then she hits a sit out jaw breaker for a near fall. Alba with kicks to Sol. Alba with a suplex and a kick to the chest. Alba goes for the Gory Bomb but Sol blocks it. Alba with a chop. Sol with an Irish whip and Alba goes for a float over but Sol catches her. Alba gets to her feet and she gives Sol a super kick. Alba with kicks in the corner.
Isla Dawn appears on the HbalKony.
Sol with Sol Snatcher for the three count.
Winner: Sol Ruca
After the match, we see Isla having fun at the expense of Alba’s loss.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Dijak says that Tony and his goon found out the hard way what street justice is. Wes Lee is next. He did not come to NXT to make friends. He came to NXT to collect punitive damages. He will get championship gold from Wes. He would make a plea bargain but Wes is too stupid to accept it. You will not come out of Charlotte with the title. High Justice is coming. It won’t be Vengeance Day for you, it will be Judgment Day.
We go to Vic’s interview with Grayson Waller earlier in the day.
Vic asks what has been going through Grayson’s mind over the last seven days.
Waller says he was supposed to save NXT last week. He couldn’t beat Grayson Waller. He was everything he thought Bron would be. He says Bron was as stupid as he thought. He knew what Bron was going to do. Grayson says he is not champion not because of Bron, but the thing he could not control.
Vic talks about the rope falling off. Grayson says if the 20 idiots did their job, he would be champion. Since they didn’t do their job, he isn’t champion.
Vic asks about the jumping knee and he says he thought Waller was going to win. Waller gives credit to Bron for kicking out. He was ready to hit the elbow drop off the ropes but the next thing he knows, he hears the referee counting four and five. Bron was half dead in the ring. Waller says he is as much a champion as Bron is.
Waller shows an NXT title belt.
Vic brings up Vengeance Day.
Waller says most people would not want to be in a steel cage with Bron Breakker but he is not most people. He says he will pin Bron Breakker. This is the most important event in NXT history. Who better to drive the car with NXT on the road than Grayson Waller.
Waller says no one who ever wrestled in Charlotte can hold a candle to him. He will become the NXT Champion.
Mark Coffey and Wolfgang walk in the back.
Wolfgang says they will beat Brooks and Josh and then they will beat every other team.
Josh Briggs says there won’t be any free wins and it won’t happen tonight.
