We take a look back at what happened at the end of last week’s Smackdown.
Sami Zayn knocks on Roman’s dressing room door and Jimmy greets him while Jey isn’t too happy. Sami says he would have won last week if he didn’t get hurt.
Jey wants to know what he is knocking on the door for.
Sami says he thought Roman would want to talk to him since they are bonding.
Jey says that Drew is still walking so he should leave.
Roman asks Jey who is out there and Sami is asked to enter.
Roman asks Sami to sit down.
Sami asks how is everything going and Roman asks about Sami.
Sami says his jaw is still hurting from last week.
Roman reminds Sami that he lost and Sami says he did ‘technically’ lose.
Roman says sometimes bad things happen so we can redeem ourselves. Roman says he was alone last week and he needed someone to help him out and he appreciates what Sami did for him. That is something that family would do.
Sami says that is what family should do. Sami tells Roman he can count on him.
Roman says he needs another favor. He says he needs Drew occupied and distracted.
Sami mentions his match against Drew and that is what he does. He gets in people’s heads and gets comfortable there. Sami says he does a dance in Drew’s head. He won’t know what’s what when Drew gets to Cardiff. Sami says it will be a piece of cake. He suggests they do it as a unit.
Roman says you put them out there and they are distracted. It is all about Sami.
Sami says he appreciates the opportunity to do it on his own.
Roman says Sami has the opportunity to be the main event.
Jimmy is excited for Sami’s chances and Jey just tells Sami to leave.
Match Number Three: Natalya and Sonya Deville versus Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament Semifinals Match
Natalya and Aliyah start things off and Natalya with a side head lock take down. Aliyah with a head scissors and Natalya escapes. Natalya with a side head lock and Natalya floats over. Aliyah with a matrix and rollup for a near fall. Aliyah with another near fall. Natalya goes for a slam but Aliyah escapes and Raquel tags in and hits a shoulder tackle and gets a near fall. Sonya is sent to the floor by Raquel and Aliyah with a Thesz Press off the apron to Sonya. Natalya with a Michinoku Driver to Aliyah on the floor and Raquel checks on Aliyah as we go to commercial.
We are back and Sonya sends Raquel into the turnbuckles. Natalya tags in and Raquel sends Sonya into Natalya. Raquel with a double suplex and she gets a near fall. Raquel with a fallaway slam and Natalya tries to stop Raquel on the turnbuckles and while she fails, Sonya drops Raquel on the turnbuckles and gets a near fall. Natalya chokes Raquel in the ropes while Sonya distracts the referee. Sonya sends Raquel into the turnbuckles and kicks Raquel. Raquel with punches. Sonya with a kick to the midsection and she gets a near fall.
Sonya with a reverse chin lock. Sonya gets on Raquel’s back and Raquel catches Natalya and slams her. Raquel sends Sonya onto Natalya. Raquel blocks some punches and Raquel with a head but. Raquel with a punch and splashes into the corner. Raquel with the twisting elbow drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Raquel gets Sonya up for a Tejana Bomb but Natalya grabs Raquel and goes for a Sharpshooter. Sonya with a knee for a near fall. Raquel with the Tejana Bomb for the three count.
Winners: Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah (advance to face Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky)
After the match, Iyo and Dakota gesture to Raquel and Aliyah. They get in the ring and go face to face with Raquel and Aliyah.
We go to a photo shoot with Mace and Mansoor in the garage.
Hit Row’s music plays from their bus.
Max says something has to be done about this.
Maxxine says she has an idea.
We go to commercial.
We are back and the photo shoot with the flickering lights continues.
Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza show up and they say they have a way to fix it and they show spray paint.
Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are in the ring and Xavier is in a wheelchair.
Xavier says they are usually dancing and are happy. Woods says they have been making fun of the Viking Raiders and how ‘new and vicious’ they are and we make fun of their intelligence but we underestimated them. Kofi says they have been getting their asses kicked by the Viking Raiders. Kofi says that he had some ribs cracked recently. Woods says they have to face a harsh reality. We saw the Viking Funeral and them burning boxes of Booty-O’s. We saw them burning New Day shirts. We saw them burning unicorn horns. We saw them burning our legacy. Maybe New Day is just that?
Kofi says they have had a chance to do a lot of great things . . .
The Viking Raiders’ music interrupts and they make their new and vicious way to the ring.
Erik says this is pathetic. We gave you a proper send off. A warrior’s rites. Instead of leaving with honor, you are sniveling.
Woods asks for a few minutes to talk to the people and say what they have to say.
Erik says one thing a Viking despises more than anything in the world is weakness. It makes them sick to see you in their ring groveling like a wounded animal. The best thing to do to a wounded animal is to put them down.
Kofi distracts Erik and Ivar and Woods gets up and he gets two kendo sticks and he tosses one to Kofi and they hit Erik and Ivar.
Woods tosses his wheelchair at Erik and Ivar.
We are back and Maximum Male Models are done with the vandalizing of Hit Row’s bus.
Hit Row shows up and says they will take care of it next week and then they say it isn’t even their bus.
The Street Profits get out of their bus.
The Usos stop by to talk to Sami. Jey tells Sami not to blow it like he did last week.
Sami says this negativity was what he was talking to Roman about.
Jey tells Sami to handle his business.
We continue the Drew McIntyre story with part two.
Drew says his dream fell apart. He took his time outside the company to find himself and find his confidence to know what was right for Drew McIntyre. He was able to become the leader everyone thought he could be.
Drew says his career has been full of twists and turns but the destination is the same, to be the face of the industry and it brings him to Roman Reigns. Roman is a monster. He has had a run unlike any in the modern era. Drew says he will take Roman down. At the first UK stadium show in 30 years. The journey that led to this moment. In front of 70,000 Brits in front of the entire world, his destiny will finally be fulfilled.
At Clash at the Castle in my land in front of my people. I am going to kick your head off your f***ing body.
We go to commercial.
We are back and next week, we will celebrate the two year title reign of Roman Reigns. We will find out the future of Ronda Rousey. Karrion Kross will be wrestling next week. Hit Row faces the Maximum Male Models. Butch will face Ludwig Kaiser. There will be a Viking Rules Match between the New Day and Viking Raiders.
Match Number Four: Drew McIntyre versus Sami Zayn
The bell rings and Sami goes to the floor and then Drew goes after him. Sami gets back in the ring and he kicks Drew when he gets back in the ring. Drew with a punch. Drew with a chop. Sami goes to the floor after ducking a clothesline. Drew goes after Sami and Drew pulls Sami to the ropes but Sami kicks Drew. Sami with a punch but Drew blocks being sent into the announce table. Drew sends Sami into the announce table and then the apron.
Sami kicks the ropes when Drew gets back in and then Sami clips Drwe. Sami with forearms to Drew. Sami chokes Drew in the ropes. Drew punches and kicks Sami in the corner. Drew with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Drew puts Sami on the turnbuckles and Sami rakes the eyes. Sami with forearms to the back and he sets for a sunset flip power bomb and hits it. Sami cannot make the cover.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Drew runs into a boot in the corner. Sami goes to the turnbuckles and sets for a tornado DDT and hits it. Sami gets a near fall. Sami sets for a Blue Thunder Bomb but Drew blocks it. Drew with a head butt and both men go down. Drew with clotheslines and an overhead belly-to-belly throw. Drew with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Drew with a neck breaker. Drew sets for a Claymore but the Usos make their way to ringside to distract Drew.
Sami with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Sami with punches. Drew knocks Jimmy and Jey off the apron and Sami with a rollup for a near fall. Drew with a Claymore for the three count.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
After the match, Roman attacks Drew and kicks and punches his challenger next week.
Drew sends Roman shoulder first into the ring post. Jimmy and Jey go after Drew but Drew punches both of them. Drew sends Jimmy to the floor but Roman with a spear. And Roman appears to have hurt his shoulder. Jimmy and Jey hit Drew with steel chairs.
Jimmy and Jey send Drew over the announce table and they both kick him. Sami with a Helluva Kick to Drew against the ringside barrier. Jimmy and Jey hit Drew with the ring steps.
Drew is rolled back into the ring and Roman tells Drew the top of the mountain is his and you will never have it. Roman with a guillotine on Drew.
Roman puts a chair on top of Drew and sits down as we go to credits.
