Next up is MLW's Jacob Fatu challenging Impact Wrestling Champion Josh Alexander in an interpromotional bout. Tom Hanifan joined Tony and David. Some damn good action. Fatu showed some nutty insane moves from Fatu. Matt Cardona, Brian Myers and Mark Sterling got involved and caused a no contest. Politically, I can't believe anyone expected anyone but a screwy finish. DDP hit the ring from the front row and hit a Diamond Cutter. This was like every Marvel Comics vs. DC Comics story ever - the two heroes fought and neither got the win because of an outside influence.
Backstage, Josh Shernoff went to interview Jeff Jarrett. Jerry Jarrett and Jerry Lawler were in the locker room. Lawler cut an old school heel promo pushing Jarrett to not just beat Ric Flair but to humiliate him. He mentioned running Flair out of the ring in 1982 on Memphis TV. This was great! They declared that Jackie Fargo, not Ric Flair, started the strut and Jarrett did it. This was one of my favorite things on the show so far. What's next? Eric Embry?
Next up was The Briscoes against The Von Erichs. This was originally slated for earlier in the show so the Von Erichs had a garbage travel day including a flight out of Arizona being canceled after they landed from Hawaii. They had a physical match and this was OK. There was a nice near fall where Mark was caught in the Iron Claw but Jay made the save. Mark got the win with the Froggy Bow elbow off the top.
After this was Jordynne Grace vs. Rachael Ellering vs. Deonna Purrazzo. There was a SCARY moment early where Rachael's ankle was caught under the Grace as Grace went for a rollup and it looked like she snapped it. The medical officials checked her out but Ellering did return to the bout. Grace retained.
