Happy Corbin vs. Madcap Moss.

With these silly names, I feel like this is a battle of old Activision games or something.  Pitfall Harry running in for the three-way?

It's NO HOLDS BARRED.  Sadly, this is not the Battle of the Tough Guys.

Moss went right after him and they battled to the floor.  Moss was nailed with a steel chair and tossed over the announcers' table but bounced right back and tossed one of their chairs at him, wiping out Corbin.  Happy was sent into the ring steps by Madcap.  I can't believe I just wrote that sentence.

Corbin regained control and beat Moss across the back with a steel chair.  He wedged the chair between the buckles but Moss moved out of the way and Corbin wiped himself out in the process.  Moss grabbed a chair of his own as the crowd chanted for tables.  He nailed a DDT on the chair but Corbin kicked out.    Corbin regained the control on the floor, beating Moss against the announcers' table.  He placed a chair around Moss' neck and sent him into the table.

Moss was tossed back into the ring.  Corbin brought a portion of the ring steps into the ring and placed them against the buckles.  Moss battled back and nailed a fall away slam into the stairs, then hit the Punchline.  He placed the chair around Corbin's throat and smashed it with the steps, scoring the pin.

This was what you would expect from a WWE Hardcore bout, designed to try and make Moss by giving him a definitive revenge win over Corbin.  We'll see how WWE follows up.

More commercial time on Peacock as they aired a profile on Bianca Belair.

Theory vs. Mustafa Ali for the United States Championship ends up in the pre-main event position.  This is a hard slot to be placed into, so let's see how they do, although being in Ali's hometown gives them a great foundation to start with.  Well, BIG "Ali" chant to start this off.  That's promising.  The announcers noted his wife and kids are here.

Theory tried to play Larry Zbyszko and stall but Ali nailed a dive to the floor.  He was elevated into the ring post to stop his momentum, allowing Theory to rain down with punches.  Theory was sent into the buckles but was able to shove Ali off the top down to the floor.   Theory worked him over but Ali battled back.  Ali was shoved off the top but flipped over and landed on his knee, which he acted like he tweaked.  Theory came off the top but Ali superkicked him with the impact sending him crashing down as well.

Theory hit an awesome springboard Spanish Fly off the top and followed with a tornado DDT.  Ali locked him in a crossface variation.  Theory teased tapping but pulled himself to the ropes, which Chicago hated.  Ali went to the top but missed the 450 splash.  Theory drilled him with a hard chopblock and nailed him with a Fireman's Carry into a Cutter and scored the pin.

Solid stuff.

Main event time.  Hell In A Cell.  What will Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes look like now?  We're about to find out.

Seth came out in yellow polka dots to mock Dusty Rhodes.  That's heat right there.

Big Cody chant before he came out.  You can see some massive bruising above and around his right pectoral muscle as well as his arm.  Holy sh**, It looked gnarly.  I am legitimately shocked WWE is allowing him to work in that condition.  I respect his insanity, but as the saying goes, nothing good can come of this.

They battled.  Cody nailed a Disaster Kick early and then nailed a Cody Cutter off the ropes but hurt himself doing it.  He went for Cross Rhodes but it was evaded.  He locked on a figure four leglock.  Seth pulled himself out of the ring and grabbed a kendo stick, attacking Cody's injured pec to break it.  Seth drilled it into his pec.  They battled.  Cody was knocked off the apron into the cage and crashed to the floor.  Rollins worked him over.  The fact Rhodes is working this hard is absolutely insane.  The injury is bringing a very different style of drama to this bout.

They battled on the floor, with Rhodes being worked over early.  Back in the ring, Cody kicked Seth in the face and clotheslined him over the top to the floor, showing that he was hurting every step of the way.  Rollins smashed him with the ring steps.  Seth put on Rhodes' ring jacket and pulled out a polka dot weight belt, lashing Cody.

Rollins continued the beating and set up a table in the ring.  He placed Cody atop the ropes and teased a superplex.  They battled off the ropes.  Cody was placed on the table but rolled off, leaving Rollins to crash through as he attempted a frog splash off the top rope.  Hurting, Cody went under the ring and retrieved a bullrope.  That's great.

Cody attached the bullrope to his arm and dared Seth to do the same.    Rollins insanely accepted.  They battled with the bullrope.  Seth was bleeding from the arm.  Cody superkicked Seth and nailed him with the cowbell but Rollins kicked up.  Guess he needed more cowbell.  They fought to the outside, where Rollins yanked Cody into the ring post.  Rollins removed himself from the bullrope and placed a table leaning against the buckles.  Seth went for a powerbomb into the tables but Cody slipped free and nailed a Cross Rhodes for a close two count.

The longer this is going, the darker the bruise on Rhodes' body is becoming.  This is more and more uncomfortable the darker it gets.

Rollins nailed a superkick and nailed a bucklebomb into the table in the corner.  Rhodes somehow got his shoulder up.  Seth went and got a sledgehammer.   Cody cut him off and nailed a Pedigree for a two count.    Cody got the sledgehammer.  Good thing there is no throne around.   Cody chased him out and into the ring but was nailed with the stomp, only to somehow kick out again.

Cody came back to nail a series of Cross Rhodes but was too spent to go for the cover.  He went for the sledgehammer but couldn't hold it up.  Seth went for it but Cody kicked him and nailed a series of Cross Rhodes again.  He grabbed the sledgehammer and smashed Seth in the face and covered him for the pin.  Rhodes wins this war of attrition against Rollins and his own injuries.

I respect the sheer force of will Rhodes just put himself through, but I sincerely hope we never see anyone endure that ever again.
