WWE RAW REPORT: AN NXT TITLE MATCH, A TEAM LOSES A NON TITLE MATCH . . . AND GETS A TITLE MATCH?, CODY SPEAKS, SHAVE AND A HAIRCUT . . . WALK WITH HIM, AND VEER

Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring.

Cody tries to compose himself after the welcome he got from the Dallas fans.

Cody asks the crowd what do they want to talk about.  He says it has been 47 days since the news that he was a free agent.  Cody says he tried to remain silent.  He heard whispers and theories that turned out to be nonsense.  Everyone said the decision to come back to WWE was difficult, it was not.  The star that left them in the dust.  The man standing here, having signed a multi-year agreement with WWE, and if there was a glimmer of doubt or a shred of trepidation, the moment he rose up in front of 70,000 fans and beat one of the best wrestlers of this era, Seth Rollins, that doubt was eradicated.  I am an avid reader and I came across a quote.  A man often finds his destiny on the path he tries to avoid it.

If you'll humor him, let's look at the Tron.  We see a photo of Dusty Rhodes from a September 1977 appearance at Madison Square Garden.  Cody mentions that is his father and it is so simple to say that is my father.  He is a legend.  He is the son of a plumber and a common man.  Cody says to him, he was his hero.  This photo was taken in 1977 in Madison Square Garden.  He is holding the belt that Hulk Hogan, the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H got their hands on.  Many more greats too.  

This photo was on the mantle in his parent's bedroom until his last day.  Cody says as he got hip to the industry, he worked up some courage and said he didn't know that Dusty was champion like Hulk Hogan.  Dusty looked at him with the eyes like Liberty has.  He says he won the match but because it was by count out, he did not take home the title.  Cody says he was 8 years old.  What is a boy to do?  I knew not what I wanted to do, but what I needed to do.  I was going to win that championship belt and put it in the hands of Dusty Rhodes and tell him nobody is going to take it now. 

Many of you have followed my journey.  That dream died right in front of him and that opportunity passed . . . or did it?  I cannot physically put that title belt in my father's hand, but I certainly can put it around the waist of the American Nightmare.  Dusty says with that in mind, the silence has broken and his intentions are clear.  I stand before you ready, finally ready.  I am going to do it.  I am going to give the distinction that my family has been denied.  I am going to do it for you, for him, and for his family.  I am going to do it for the American Dream Dusty Rhodes.

Seth Rollins' music plays and he maneuvers himself to the ring.

Cody offers his hand to Seth and Seth shakes it.

Seth tells Cody welcome home and then goes to the back.

Match Number One:  Naomi and Sasha Banks versus Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley in a Non Title Match

Ripley and Naomi start things off and Naomi with a wist lock.  Rhea with a head butt and a delayed vertical suplex.  Rhea gets a near fall.  Rhea misses a kick and Naomi with a back elbow and back heel kick.  Sasha tags in and they hit  double bulldog into the turnbuckles.  Sasha with a splash and Naomi with a moonsault for a near fall.  Sasha with Meteora to Liv off the apron.  Rhea with a clothesline off the apron to Sasha.  Naomi with a cross body off the apron to Rhea.  Naomi sends Rhea back into the ring and hits a leg drop for a near fall.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and Rhea with a body scissors on Naomi.  Naomi leans back to get a near fall.  Naomi with a springboard round kick.  Liv and Sasha tag in and Sasha with a knee on the apron followed by a head scissors take down and a running double knee strike in the corner.  Sasha with a running knee in the corner.  Sasha with Meteora for a near fall.  Sasha with a rear chin lock and Liv escapes and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Liv with another rollup.  Liv with an enzuigiri and Rhea tags in.  Rhea tosses Sasha to Liv for a power bomb and Rhea gets a near fall.  Rhea tries to send Liv onto Sasha but Sasha moves.  Naomi sends Rhea to the floor.  Naomi tags in and they hit a Codebreaker and Bubba Bomb combination for the three count.

Winners:  Naomi and Sasha Banks

Rhea checks on Liv and then walks away and Liv is confused.

Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring as Rhe goes to the back.

We are back and Kevin Owens says he may have made a mistake.  On Saturday night, in the main event of Wrestlemania, when I had Steve Austin as my guest, I unveiled my plan to trick him into one last match, I may have underestimated him.  The Texas Rattlesnake is still great, because you have to be great to beat one of the best in Kevin Owens.  Kevin says he may have tricked himself too.  Kevin says he had a back injury on Saturday.  Look at the footage from Saturday.  I was limping.  I was working out and I hurt myself.  I probably should have gone home, but I knew the WWE Universe needed me to deliver a great Wrestlemania main event.  I put myself at risk for all of you.

That means as great as that win means for Steve, it should come with a note that he beat someone not at 100 percent.  Maybe it should have been stricken.

Elias makes his way to the ring and he is clean shaven and wearing wrestling tights.

Kevin asks if that is Elias.  Where have you been?  Who do you think you are to interrupt him.

He says he is not Elias.  He says he is Elias' younger brother.   He says his name is Ezekiel.  

Kevin tells him that he recognizes the eyes and he is Elias.

Ezekiel tells Kevin he is Elias' younger brother.

Kevin says he is Elias and it does not matter who you say you are.  Kevin says he hates liars.

Ezekiel says Owens must hate himself.  Owens lied to Austin and got stunned.

Kevin says he likes Elias/Ezekiel/Eric/Enrique that he hates him more.  He gives him ten seconds to get out of his ring, or else.

Owens starts his count down and gets to 1. 

Owens leaves the ring instead.

Match Number Two:  Dominik Mysterio (wtih Rey Mysterio) versus Miz

.Miz misses a punch and Dominik with punches and a springboard wrist lock take down.  Dominik with a head scissors that sends Miz into the ropes but Miz gets up and hot shots Dominik and hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the three count.

Winner:  Miz

After the match, Veer's music plays and HE IS HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE

Miz gets out of the ring and Veer is in the ring with Rey and Dominik Mysterio.  

Veer kicks Dominik and clotheslines Rey.  Veer with a side slam.  Veer with a seated splash to the back and he applies a Cobra Stretch and Dominik taps out because it is not a sanctioned match.

Officials try to pull Veer of Dominik and Veer finally releases the hold.
