WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: A BIG CONTRACT SIGNING, A NEW TAG TEAM?, A NEW MATCH FOR MANIA?, AND MORE

Your announcers are Pat McAfee and Michael Cole.

We begin with a video package summarizing what has happened in 2022 between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

Michael Cole is in the ring and he brings out the winner of the 2022 Royal Rumble, Ronda Rousey.

Michael mentions it has been three years since Ronda set foot in a WWE ring and he asks why did she come back at the Royal Rumble.  

Ronda mentions she broke her hand winning in 2019, then she broke her other hand.  Ronda mentions that then she got pregnant.  She says she knew that she wanted to come back and win the Royal Rumble and punch her second ticket to the main event of the Royal Rumble.  Ronda mentions that her mom was the first person to win a World Championship in Judo while being a single mother.  Ronda says she wants to set the same example of badassery for her daughter.

Cole mentions that Ronda was the first American woman to medal in Judo at the Olympics, was the first women's champion in UFC, the first woman in the UFC Hall of Fame, and one of three in the first female main event of Wrestlemania.  

Ronda says she wants to tap out Charlotte to win the title.

Cole mentions the match at Elmination Chamber.  We see photos.

Charlotte Flair's music plays and she makes her way to the ring but stops in the aisle.

Charlotte says she gave Ronda a little taste of a welcome back and it was so much fun.  Charlotte says she showed some mercy to Ronda because of the arm tied behind her back.  That won't be the case at Wrestlemania.  It will be stupendous when I make you tap out for the first time.Charlotte says that means she remains the Smackdown women's champion.  The silver lining is that you get to go home and work on baby number two.

Sonya Deville attacks Ronda from behind.  Charlotte trips Ronda and wrings the leg into the ring post.  

Sonya taunts Ronda and Ronda with a take down and Sonya gets to the floor.

The New Day ride on a 4 wheeler in the back as we go to commercial.

We are back and we see Adam Pearce asking Sonya what is she doing getting involved.  Adam tells Sonya that next week, Sonya will face Ronda Rousey and it is official.

Match Number One:  Kofi Kingston and Big E versus Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo

Kofi and Carrillo start things off and Carrillo with a wrist lock and Kofi with a leg sweep and he gets a near fall.  Kofi backs Carrillo into the corner and Big E tags in and hits a splash and clothesline for a near fall.  Big E with an abdominal stretch and it is time for some forearms to the ribs.  Humberto with a knee and Big E with a forearm.  Big E with forearms to the back.  Kofi tags in and Big E with a snap mare and Kofi with a leap frog seated senton for a near fall.  Kofi with a drop kick off the turnbuckles.

Kofi is sent to the apron and Garza distracts Kofi and Humberto drop kicks Kofi off the apron.  Garza and Carrillo knock Big E off the apron.  Angel and Humberto send Kofi into the apron and then Angel's pants come off.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Kofi is in the tree of woe and Garza punches Kofi and then Carrillo tags in and they hit a double drop kick for a near fall.  Humberto with a reverse chin lock.  Humberto with a forearm to the back and he knocks Big E off the apron.  Garza tags in and they roll through and send Kofi into the mat.  Garza with an Achilles lock.  Kofi with a stomp to the chest and both men are down.  Big E and Carrillo tag in and Big E with two overhead belly-to-belly suplexes followed by a regular belly-to-belly suplex.  BigE  with a Warrior Splash and he get Carrillo up for a moment for a Big Ending.  Carrillo with a super kick and Garza tags in.  Big E with a uranagE followed a bulldog for a near fall.  Carrillo kicks Big E and Kofi drop kicks Carrillo.

Garza avoids SOS and Garza sends Kofi to the floor and Garza with a suicide dive.  Garza sends Kofi back into the ring and Garza looks at the ATV and Kofi with a forearm off the ring steps.  Kofi sends Garza back into the ring.  Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex to Carrillo on the floor.  Garza with a kick as Kofi comes off the turnbuckles and Garza gets a near fall.  Garza goes up top but Big E threatens to run over Carrillo so Garza gets off the turnbuckles.  Kofi with a jumping knee and they hit Midnight Hour for the three count.

Winners:  Kofi Kingston and Big E

The Usos are in the back with Sam Roberts as we go to commercial.

We are back and Sheamus and Ridge Holland comment on Big E's ATV.  Sheamus says they would have to use it to have their arses carried out of the building.

Big E and Kofi drive away.

Sam Roberts is with The Usos.

Jimmy and Jey talk about the contract signing for the biggest match in history.  Roman is going to take care of Brock the way that they are going to take care of the Viking Raiders.  The Usos talk about how the Raiders are smelly and . . . 

The Viking Raiders attack The Usos and demand their title match.

We take a look back at the match between Aliyah and Natalya from two weeks ago and what happened after the match when Xia Li came out to make the save.

Megan Morant is in the back with Xia Li.  Xia is asked about facing Natalya.  Xia says she has been waiting for this moment her entire life.  She says she is nervous but she is also confident.  Natalya will need protection tonight.

We see Drew Gulak, Mansoor, Shayna Baszler, and Aliyah watching monitor in the back.

Match Number Two:  Xia Li versus Natalya

They lock up and Natalya sends Xia to the mat.  Natalya kicks Xia in the corner.  Natalya with a forearm to the back and an Irish whip.  Natalya with an Irish whip but Xia goes to the turnbuckles and leaps over Natalya and hits a drop kick for a near fall.  Natalya with a discus clothesline for a near fall.  Natalya with a kick in the corner followed by a suplex.  Natalya with punches and an abdominal stretch and she pulls Xia's leg off the mat to stretch her more.  Xia with elbows to escape followed by a take down.  Xia blocks a kick and she connects with elbows to the knee.  Xia with jumping knees.  Xia with a drop kick for a near fall.  

Xia escapes a Sharpshooter attempt and Xia winds up and hits a spinning heel kick for the three count.

Winner:  Xia Li

We take a look back at Sami Zayn's victory over Shinsuke Nakamura to become the new Intercontinental Championship

Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring in his attempt to be the Seth Rollins of Smackdown.
