NJPW BATTLE IN THE VALLEY REPORT: FORMER WWE NXT STAR DEBUTS, OSPREAY HAS PLANS FOR WRESTLE KINGDOM, NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE, IMPACT STARS & MORE

After the match, Jonah Rock, aka former WWE NXT star Bronson Reedm makes his way to the ring and he goes face to face with Moose.  Moose leaves the ring.  Rock with a back senton to Robinson.  Rock punches Robinson.  David Finlay comes out to make the save for his partner but Rock with a body block and back senton.  Rock says now, the shackles are finally off.  Now, the real violence begins.  New Japan Pro Wrestling, you are looking at your top.  Jonah is here.

Match Number Seven:  Kazuchika Okada versus Buddy Matthews

They lock up and Buddy backs Okada into the corner and Okada puts Buddy in the corner.  Okada teases a punch in the corner but he taps Buddy and gives the break.  Buddy with a waist lock and Okada with a standing switch and Buddy with a standing switch of his own.  Okada backs Buddy into the corner and Okada with a clean break but Buddy pushes Okada.  Buddy floats over in the corner and teases a chop but he taps Okada to return the favor.  Okada with a knee to the midsection and a side head lock and shoulder tackle.  Okada goes for Rainmaker but Buddy goes for Murphy's Law but Okada escapes.  They go for a test of strength and Murphy with a chop.  Okada puts Matthews on the turnbuckles and Okada with a drop kick to send him to the floor.

Okada goes to the floor and Buddy sends Okada into the guardrails and returns to the ring.  Buddy with a knee to the back and a kick to the back.  Buddy with another kick to the back.  Buddy with a forearm to the back and a forearm to the lower back.  Buddy with a forearm to the back.  Buddy with a forearm to the lower back.  Buddy has something to say to Okada and he goes for another forearm to the back but since it is the third one, Okada with a forearm.  Buddy with a forearm and Okada with an Irish whip and he runs into a boot.  Okada with a flapjack.  Okada with forearms and a back elbow.  Okada with an Irish whip and elbow in the corner followed by a DDT for a near fall.

Okada sets for the sleeper and locks it in but Buddy escapes and he sends Okada down with an arm drag.  Okada is sent to the floor and Buddy with a kick.  Buddy with a plancha onto Okada.  They return to the ring and Buddy goes up top.  Buddy misses a move off the turnbuckles when Okada moves.  Okada with a neck breaker for a near fall.  Okada with a slam and then he goes to the turnbuckles for an elbow drop and hits it.  Okada looks around and the camera pans to set up the Rainmaker.  Buddy avoids the Rainmaker but Okada with elbows and he backs Buddy into the turnbuckles.  Okada runs into a boot.  Buddy with a buckle bomb but he misses a stomp.  Buddy with a forearm to the back and elbows to the collarbone.  Buddy wit more elbows.  

The referee checks on Okada and Buddy pushes the referee.  The referee pushes Buddy away to check on Okada.  Buddy with a curb stomp and he gets a near fall.  Buddy stands over Okada and mocks the Rainmaker.  Buddy picks up Okada and sets for the Rainmaker but Okada avoids it.  Okada with a discus clothesline and both men are down.  Okada gets to his feet and he gets Buddy up for the Tombstone but Buddy escapes.  Buddy with a back heel kick and a front kick.  Buddy stomps on the foot but misses a knee lift.  Buddy with a jumping boot and Okada with a drop kick.  Okada with a spinning tombstone.  Buddy gets to the ropes to stop Okada.  Okada pushes the referee aside.  Okada goes for Rainmaker but Buddy with a kick.  Okada holds on and Buddy with anotehr kick.  Buddy with more kicks to the head.  Buddy with a jumping knee.

Buddy goes for Murphy's Law but Okada with a Michinoku Driver and Rainmaker for the three count.

Winner:  Kazuchika Okada

After the match, Okada applauds Matthews' performance and offers his hand to Buddy.  Buddy looks around and he shakes Okada's hand and they hug.

Will Ospreay makes his way to the ring.

Ospreay has the mic and he says long time no see.  He congratulates Okada on his G1 win and the only reason he won was because Will refused to go to Japan.  A win is a win.  As tradition, the G1 winner can challenge the IWGP World Champion.  Ospreay says he is unpinned, unsubmitted, and undefeated.  You can challenge the real World Champion.

Okada takes the mic and he says he will not challenge Will.  You will challenge me.

Ospreay takes the mic back and he tells the people to calm down.  He says he sees what Okada is trying to do.  You have a dead World Championship and it means nothing.  Will says he has the real World Championship.  Will says he was going to wait for New Japan to recognize him as the real World Champion, if you want the job done right, you do it yourself.  You face Shingo for the Interim Championship and whoever wins on January 4th, can face him on January 5th.  We will find out that there is only one World Champion and his name is Will Ospreay.

Okada tells Ospreay okay.  He says it will make it rain in the Tokyo Dome.

Match Number Eight:   Never Openweight Championship Match: Jay White versus Tomohiro Ishii

The bell rings and White misses a punch but applies a side head lock.  White with a shoulder tackle and Ishii with a shoulder tackle.  White with a drop kick to the knee and a kick to the back.  White kicks Ishii in the chest.  White with a chop and kicks in the corner.  White with an Irish whip and a forearm as Ishii comes out of the corner.  Ishii with an Irish whip and he runs into a boot.  White with a forearm and Ishii with a shoulder tackle.  Ishii goes to the floor after White to bring him back into the ring.  White goes back to the floor.  White tries to kick Ishii away.  White gets Ishii up and hits a TKO on the top rope and Ishii goes to the floor.  White follows after having some words with the referee.  White with an Irish whip into the guardrails.  White sends Ishii into the guardrails again.  

White with a chop to Ishii on the floor.  They return to the ring and White gets a near fall.  White gets another near fall.  White with kicks to the leg.  White with chops to Ishii.  Ishii with a kick but it doesn't have much impact.  White with a kick and a suplex for a near fall.  White chokes Ishii.  White with knees to the midsection but Ishii with a chop.  White with a boot to Ishii and then he clips Ishii.  White with a single leg crab.  White with a wringer to the leg.  White chops Ishii.  Ishii with head butts to the midsection but White with a knee and an atomic drop to the leg.  Ishii with a shoulder tackle and both men are down.  Ishii with a waist lock and a power slam.

Ishii with chops in the corner with some forearms added to the mix.  Ishii with a waist lock but White holds the ropes.  White with a DDT   White with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.  White sets for a uranage but Ishii blocks it.  Ishii with a chop and White goes down.  Ishii with more chops in the corner.  Ishii puts White on the turnbuckles but White rakes the eyes and he pushes the referee.  White with a face lock suplex into the turnbuckles.  White with a swinging brainbuster for a near fall.  White goes for a uranage but Ishii blocks it again.  White with a chop and Ishii goes down.  White with chops in the corner and he adds some forearms as well.  White chokes Ishii in the corner.  

White with another chop and Ishii is not happy with what White is doing.  White with a forearm and Ishii gets his second wind.  Ishii with a forearm and White goes down.  Ishii puts White on the turnbuckles.  White with forearms from the turnbuckles.  Ishii with a forearm from the turnbuckles.  Ishii with a superplex for a near fall.  Ishii goes for a power bomb but White escapes and connects with a forearm.  Ishii with a head butt.  White with a uranage and both men are down.  White goes for the Kiwi Crusher but Ishii blocks it.  White with forearms and Ishii wants more.  Ishii with forearms to White.  They exchange forearms and White falls to the floor.  

White and Ishii exchange forearms again.  Ishii with a forearm that sends White to the mat.  White with a slap and forearms to Ishii followed by a Dragon suplex and Ishii pops up and hits an exploder.  White sends Ishii over the top rope to the floor with an exploder.  White sets for the Kiwi Crusher and hits it for a near fall.  Ishii with elbows to White but White slaps Ishii in the head.  Ishii with an elbow an.  Ishii with a German suplex.  Ishii misses a sliding clothesline.  White hits a Dragon suplex.  Ishii sets for a clothesline but White with a clothesline of his own.  White with a brainbuster for a near fall.  White witha forearm and Ishii falls to the mat.

White with another forearm to Ishii.  Ishii with a head butt and an enzuigiri.  Ishii goes for a clothesline but White counters with a flatliner.  White with a dragon suplex and then White signals that it is over.  Ishii with a head butt and clothesline.  Ishii with a sliding clothesline for a near fall.  Ishii sets for the brinbuster but White with a knee.  Ishii with a dragon suplex.  Ishii with a clothesline for a near fall.  Ishii with a brainbuster for the three count.

Winner:  Tomohiro Ishii
