WWE NXT REPORT: THE CHAMPS SPEAK, KAY LEE RAY IS CHALLENGED, GONZALEZ IN ACTION, AND MORE

We are back and Danny Burch says one week is a long time after being on the shelf for five weeks.  Pete Dunne says it is time for Ciampa to prove it because he is standing in the ring wtih a tough man.  Holland says it is nice that you are dedicating this to your partner and you can talk about how motivated you are in your hospital beds.

We see footage from earlier of Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne leaviing Sarray's locker room and Sarray is down on the floor.

Match Number Four:  Johnny Gargano (with Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis) versus LA Knight

They lock up and Knight with a slam.  They lock up again and Knight with a wrist lock.  Gargano with a drop toe hold into a front face lock.  Knight tries to escape and Gargano holds on.  Knight sends Gargano to the mat.  Knight with a side head lock and a shoulder tackle.  Gargano with a side head lock when Knight drops down.  Knight gets to the ropes to force a break.  Knight with a jab and more punches.  Gargano with a body sicssors take down followed by a reverse atomic drop and rollup for a near fall.  Gargano with a drop kick.

Gargano with a chop.  Knight kicks Gargano but Gargano with chops.  Gargano with a wrist lock and he works on the shoulder.  Knight pulls the hair and hits a back elbow.  Knight misses a shoulder and goes to the floor.  Gargano with a suicide dive.  Gargano chops Knight while Indi stares into Dexter's eyes and Dexter stares at something.  Knight misses an elbow drop when Gargano tries to get back into the ring.  Knight with a punch and hot shot.  Knight with a suplex.  Knight goes to the apron and connects with a running knee and a slingshot shoulder tackle.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Knight chokes Gargano in the ropes.  Gargano goes for an O'Connor Roll but Knight holds on to the ropes.  Gargano with a back slide for a near fall.  Knight with a neck breaker for a near fall.  Knight with shoulders in the corner and he misses a splash when Gargano moves.  Gargano with forearms and Knight sends Gargano to the mat.  Knight misses a knee drop when Gargano moves.  Gargano with a rollup and a round kick.  Gargano with a forearm in the corner and a swinging flatliner.  Gargano goes for a suicide dive but Knight with a forearm to Gargano.  Gargano goes to the apron when Knight goes for a slingshot move.  Gargano with a slingshot spear for a near fall.  Gargano sends Knight into the turnbuckles.

Gargano punches Knight on the turnbuckles and Knight pulls Gargano out of the corner and Gargano with a sunset flip.  Knight gets a near fall after a pop up TKO from a power slam set up.  Gargano has a super kick blocked.  Gargano with a take down and he tries for the GargaNo Escape but Knight with a rollup for a near fall.  Knight sends Gargano to the apron and Gargano with an enzuigiri.  Gargano goes for One Final Beat but Knight knocks Gargano off the apron and he is caught by his son in law.  Lumis gets in Knight's way and Gargano with a super kick.  Knight with the BFT for the three count when Gargano tried to high five Lumis.

Winner:  LA Knight

MSK are in the back and they go into William Regal's office.  Carter says they want to give Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan a shot at their titles.  They say they are fighting champions and they never lost the titles.  Regal says if that is what MSK wants, they will have it.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Boa says that he let them down and Mei Ying will show him the power of Tian Sha.  We are told that Mei Ying wrestles next week.

Match Number Five:  Jessi Kamea (with Franky Monet and Robert Stone) versus Raquel Gonzalez in a Non Title Match

They lock up and Gonzalez backs Kamea into the corner and Gonzalez with a take down.  Gonzalez with a kick and she goes for a suplex but Kamea lands on her feet.  Gonzalez with a forearm to the back.  Gonzalez runs Kamea into the turnbuckles.  Gonzalez with a side slam and a Vader Bomb elbow but Kamea gets to the ropes to stop the count.  Kamea goes to the apron and Gonzalez missea a boot and Kamea drops the leg on the top rope.  Kamea with a split and Gonzalez goes down.  Kamea with a round kick.

Kamea misses a round kick and Gonzalez with a drop kick and slam.  Gonzalez drops Kamea on the top rope.  Kamea with a jumping round kick but Gonzalez with a clothesline.  Gonzalez with the Chingona Bomb for the three count.

Winner:  Raquel Gonzalez

After the match, Monet has some words for Gonzalez.

Ember Moon is in the back and she says she is trying to celebrate her birthday.  Kay Lee Ray wants to run her mouth and you want to make a name off me.  You haven't been in the ring with anyone like me.  I will take away your ability to talk crap if you keep mentioning my name.  Moon challenges Kay Lee Ray to a match next week.

We are back and Wade Barrett asks Joe about the future of NXT.  Joe says his expectataions are unexpected.  Some think they are domination of the talent.  It is about re-establshing a precedent for being chamipon and standard bearer.  This began far before he captured this championship.  It started the week before the match.  He was not 100% going into the match.  He was in Las Vegas holding tryouts to secure the next superstars.  He flew back and was jet lagged but the precedent demands that he focus on the title match.  He had to capture the NXT Championship becasue the precedent needs to be set.

Joe is asked about being a three time champion and how it affects his perspective.  Joe says legacy is important.  He needs to carry on that legacy and maintain that precedent.  Whether it is with the media or in front of the fans.  The path he paved is the way to championship gold.  It all lies in the hands of those around him.  Who will step up to challenge him and seize their destiny.  Joe says he is more than happy to help them find the answers.

Ikemen Jiro says that KUSHIDA is his idol and when he is healthy, he will beat you.  I accept your open challenge.

Match Number Five:  Roderick Strong (with Malcolm Bivens, Hideki Suzuki, and the Creed Brothers) versus Ikemen Jiro

Strong with a kick and forearms in the corner.  Strong gets Jiro on his shoulders but Jiro escapes and sends Strong to the mat with an arm drag and head scissors.  Jiro with a palm strike and Strong goes to the floor.  Jiro with a pescado but he lands on his feet when Strong moves.  Strong hip tosses Jiro into the ring steps.  Strong sends Jiro back into the ring and he kicks Jiro.  Strong with a chop and boots to the back.  Strong with a back breaker and he gets a near fall.  Strong with a seated abdominal stretch.  Jiro with a punch and Strong with a knee.  Jiro with an Irish wihp and Strong pulls Jiro off the turnbuckles.  Strong with boots and he gets a near fall.

Strong with a reverse chin lock into a seated abdominal stretch.  Jiro with boots to the arm.  Jiro avoids a forearm from Strong and Jiro with forearms of his own followed by punches.  Strong with an Irish whip but he hits the turnbuckles when Jiro moves.  Jiro with a slingshot Arabian press for a near fall.  Jiro with a kick to the leg and Strong with a jumping knee and End of Heartache.  Strong with a second End of Heartache for the three count.

Winner:  Roderick Strong

McKenzie Mitchell is in the back with Io Shirai, Zoey Stark, Kayden Carter, and Kacy Catanzaro.  Kacy says they are a team inside and out of the ring and they are best friends.  Kayden says this is natural and it is not forced.  Zoey says that Io is the most decorated champion in NXT.  She says she would take a bullet for Io.  Io tells Zoey she doesn't like any of them, but since Zoey is on her team, they will win.

Ridge Holland walks in the back with Danny Burch, Oney Lorcan, and Pete Dunne.

We go to commercial.

We are back with Cameron Grimes and McKenzie Mitchell.  He says he learned there is only one Ted DiBiase and only one Cameron Grimes.

Zack Gibson shows up with James Drake and asks how does it feel to do all of that and have a replica belt.  They hold a replica belt and ask if that makes them champions.  Grimes asks if they want a loan.  Grimes takes the belt and he says it looks great.  Grimes drops the belt on Gibson and leaves.

Match Number Six:  Tommaso Ciampa versus Ridge Holland (with Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch)

They lock up and Holland backs Ciampa into the corner.  Ciampa with a side head lock and shoulder tackle followed by a side head lock take down.  Holland backs Ciampa into the corner and connects with a European uppercut.  Ciampa with a punch.  Holland with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.  Ciampa with a boot but Holland with a forearm and kick.  Ciampa drops Holland on the top rope.  CIampa with a running knee to the head.  Ciampa sets for another knee but Lorcan and Burch pull Holland to the floor.  Holland picks up Ciampa but Ciampa sends Holland into the plexiglass and then he pulls Holland into the ring post.  Ciampa with an elbow to Holland on the announce table followed by a running knee to the head.

Ciampa goes to the apron and pats himself on the back.  Ciamap sets for Willow's Bell but Holland escapes.  Holland with a shoulder tackle to Ciampa.  Holland with a knee drop.  Holland with a European uppercut and Holland chokes Ciampa in the ropes.  Holland with a back breaker and he gets a near fall.  Ciampa wit a jaw breaker and clotheslien in the corner.  Ciampa with a chop and Holland with a hard Irish whip.  Ciampa with back elbows and Holland with forearms to the back.  Holand with a boot to the head.  Holland with another hard Irish whip.

Ciampa with a forearm and Holland with a forearm.  Ciampa fires back and the exchange continues.  Holland with a rear chin lock.  Ciampa with a kick and Holland with an elbow in the corner.  Holland with an Irish whip but Ciampa wtih a forearm out of the corner.  Ciampa with chops but Holland with an elbow.  Ciampa with a jumping knee and a clothesline into the corner.  Ciampa with another clothesline into the corner.  Ciampa with a third clothesline and then he adds many more clotheslines into the corner.  Ciampa with a running clothesline and he gets a near fall.

Holland counters Fairy Tale Ending with an Alabama Slam.  The referee checks on Ciampa.  Holland with a near fall.  Holland with a forearm to the lower back.  Holland with another forearm to the lower back.  Ciampa with a forearm and punches.  They go back and forth with forearms.  Ciampa with jabs and punches.  Holland with a forearm and Ciampa fires back.  Ciampa tries to get Holland up for an Air Raid Crash and hits it but can only get a near fall.  Holland with a head butt to knock Ciampa off the apron.  Holland follows Ciampa to the floor.  Holland runs Ciampa into the plexiglass.  Holland tries to hit Ciampa with his big stick but misses.  

Ciampa and Holland exchange punches on the apron and Ciampa with chops.  Holland gets Ciampa up but Ciampa gets back into the ring.  Ciampa with knees and Willow's Bell for the three count.

Winner:  Tommaso Ciampa

After the match, Pete Dunne attacks Ciampa.  Lorcan and Burch pick up Ciampa and before Dunne can do anything, MSK come to the ring and Lorcan, Burch, Lee,and Carter brawl.
