WWE NXT REPORT: LOVE DOES NOT FOLLOW WRESTLING STIPULATIONS, A LUNCH FOR THE AGES, FISH VERSUS STRONG, AND MORE

James Drake asks if you can believe these idiots are cheering for him.  He is proof that you cannot polish a turd.  Gibson says he has some friendly advice.  You stay out of our way.  Our mission remains the same.  We are GRIZZLED Young Veterans, soon to be recognized as NXT Tag Team Champions.

Match Number Four:  Cameron Grimes and LA Knight versus James Drake and Zack Gibson

Grimes and Gibson start things off and Grimes goes for the leg and then he applies a wrist lock.  Knight tags in and kicks Gibson and hits a back elbow.  Knight sends Gibson into the turnbuckles and kicks Gibson.  Knight with an Irish whip but Drake absorbs the impact and Gibson with a clothesline.  Drake tags in and hits a short arm clothesline for a near fall.  Drake with a forearm followed by a suplex attempt but Knight goes full Zack Ryder and lands on his feet and hits a neck breaker.  Grimes tags in and hits a cross body.  Drake with a side head lock.  Gibson tags in and Drake goes to the floor.  Gibson sends Grimes throat first into the ropes.  Gibson punches Knight off the apron and then he punches Grimes.

Drake tags in and they hit a double clothesline and Drake gets a near fall.  Gibson tags back in and Grimes sends Drake to the floor but Gibson with a sleeper.  Grimes with a back body drop and Knight leaps off the apron to avoid the tag.  Knight tells Grimes to do his job.  Grimes takes off his gloves and jacket.  Drake tags in and Grimes punches Drake and Gibson.  Grimes with a double rana and then he goes to the apron and kicks Gibson.  He drops Drake on the top rope.  Grimes goes up top and leaps over Drake and hits a flip cross body for a near fall.  Grimes sets for Cave In  but Gibson distracts Grimes.  Gibson tags in and they hit Ticket to Mayhem for the three count.

Winners:  James Drake and Zack Gibson

After the match, Ted DiBiase walks past Drake and Gibson and walks up to Grimes.  He tells Grimes that he knew that Knight would leave him hanging.  He tells Grimes to figure things out.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a video package for Samoa Joe.  

We take a look back at what Dakota Kai did to Raquel Gonzalez last week.

Dakota Kai says she needed someone to trust 18 months ago.  Then she saw Raquel Gonzalez breaking combine records.  Kai says if it wasn't for her, Raquel Gonzalez would be nothing.  Early on, it was simple.  Stand behind me, watch, learn, and be there when I need you.  You ran through everyone in my way.  You became a star in your own right.  I let Raquel get those victories.  Let's be real here.  We all knew who the leader was.  At Takeover, Stand and Deliver and Io picks Raquel?  She didn't think to give me the opportunity after giving her everything?  I plucked her out of obscurity and she stole that opportunity from me.  With my help, she beat Io and became the NXT Women's Champion.

That should have been me.  I should have had my hand raised.  I should have been in the ring with Bianca and Rhea.  I expected Raquel to help me regain the tag titles. She did not put her heart and soul into anything else.  From that point on, I was known as Raquel's side kick.  I am no one's side kick.  The only person's back I should be having is my own.  The funniest thing about all of this is she didn't see it coming.  You are so oblivious to see that the person next to you was going to kick your head off.  You said there was no one left, how about me?  I brought you into this world, now I will take you out of it when I become Women's Champion.

McKenzie is with Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae about Johnny's match tonight.  Johnny says this match is up there with his biggest matches in NXT.  Candice says they know what is best for Indi.  Johnny says he will do everything to end InDex.

Joe Gacy says people don't like what they can't control.  Me having this opportunity, I won't be controlled until my hand is raised as the winner of the Breakout Tournament.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Vic says that Adam Cole suffered a neck and spinal compression so he is not medically cleared to wrestle.

We take a look back at what happened between Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole.

There will be a face to face confrontation between Cole and O'Reilly next week.

Match Number Five:  Joe Gacy versus Trey Baxter in a Breakout Tournament First Round Match

They lock up and Gacy with a clean break and Baxter with a waist lock.  Gacy sends Baxter to the mat.  Baxter wit a waist lock and Gacy picks up Baxter by the throat and tosses him across the ring.  Baxter wtih a kick and clothesline but Gacy with a clothesline for a near fall.  Gacy with a shoulder tackle and he misses a stomp to the body.  Baxter kicks Gacy away.  Baxter avoids a slam attempt and he drop kicks Gacy in the back and Gacy goes to the floor.  Gacy catches Baxter on a suicide dive and then Gacy sends Baxter into the ropes for a forearm.

They return to the ring and Gacy with a chin bar.  Gacy with a forearm to the back.  Baxter with a sleeper on Gacy but Gacy with a snap mare to escape and he kicks Baxter.  Baxter and Gacy exchange kicks.  Gacy with a head butt and forearms.  Gacy with clotheslines against the ropes.  Gacy with a suplex for a near fall.  Gacy misses a splash into the corner and hits a springboard drop kick.  Baxter with a suicide dive. Baxter with a plancha and then he returns to the ring and hits a Fosbury Flop onto Gacy.  Baxter with a springboard twisting splash for a near fall.  Baxter with a punch and he goes for a sleeper but Gacy runs Baxter into the turnbuckles and then hits a running cannonball into the corner.  Gacy puts Baxter on the turnbuckles.

Baxter drops Gacy on the turnbuckles and Baxter with a 450 double stomp for the three count.

Winner:  Trey Baxter (Advances to face Odyssey Jones)

We go to Zoey Stark and Io Shirai having lunch at a Japanese restaurant.  Zoey says this is a way to bond and become friends just like with her and Kairi Sane.  Io orders and Zoey says she will have what Io is having.   Zoey is not a big fan of the food.

Zoey says they are starting to bond and she says that Io is starting to like her a little more.  Zoey tells Io they had a great time and Io hands Zoey the check.  Zoey asks the waitress if she knows Io and she says they just speak the same language.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and McKenzie asks Indi who is she pulling for tonight.  She says on one hand you have family and on the other, you have true love.  I am not saying that I am rooting for Dexter, but if he wins, Johnny and Candice will see that Dexter is not a bad guy.  We will see if it is meant to be or not.

Karrion Kross comes out and he gets on the announce table.  He asks Joe if he gave up his job because he couldn't get things done.  He asks who provoked who.

Kross leaves the ringside area as Joe makes his way to the ring and Joe destroys security.

Joe says he is coming for Kross as he chokes out a member of security.

We take a look at WALTER and Ilja Dragunov with Hard Target.

We see Hunter's announcement about the rematch.  Nigel says the first match was one of the most brutal matches he has ever seen.  Drew says it was a great match.  Regal says it was brutality.  Sheamus says he would watch it any day.  Drew says it shows how far British and European wrestling has come.

Ilja says everyone talked about the level of brutality they saw in the ring.  The people cheer for those who win, but forget those who lose.  He says something was broken about him after he lost.  He can he beat someone as cold blooded as WALTER.  

WALTER says Takeover is a big stage and it is where he belongs.  This is the match of Ilja's career.

Ilja says WALTER will find out how he underestimates him.  He says he has more strength and stamina.  WALTER says Ilja cannot hang with him.  We will see who Ilja Dragunov really is.  

Ilja says you are wrong if you say I don't belong here.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and KUSHIDA says he respects Roderick Strong's victory.  He says if Strong wants a shot at the Cruiserweight Championship, he's got it.

Next week, we will hear from Raquel Gonzalez.  We will also have the face to face between Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole.  We will see Ember Moon face Sarray.  Ilja Dragunov will be on NXT next week.

Match Number Six:  Johnny Gargano versus Dexter Lumis in an Indi's Heart on a Pole Match

Gargano shows Lumis a Way t-shirt and he says that is his family.  He tells him if he wants Indi, he has to go through him.  Gargano with a side head lock and he holds on when Dexter tries to send him off the ropes.  Gargano floats over in the corer and Gargano with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Dexter wtih a reversal and he gives Gargano a few arm drags and follows with a drop kick.  Lumis crawls and forces Gargano to go to the floor.  Gargano with forearms to Lumis and then he brings Lumis to the floor.  Gargano with a suplex on the floor.  

Indi makes her way to ringside and Gargano sends Lumis into the ring.  Gargano has some words for his 'daughter'.  Gargano gets into the ring and Lumis with a Thesz Press and punches.  Lumis with punches in the corner.  Lumis with a back elbow.  Gargano with forearms.  Lumis slides to the floor when Gargano moves.  Gargano looks for Lumis and then Indi goes under the ring to look for Lumis.  Candice LeRae comes out and they pull Indi out and she is holding on to Dexter.  Gargano kicks Lumis and sends her into the plexiglass.

Gargano with forearms as they go around the ring.  Gargano sends Lumis back into the ring.  Lumis with a shoulder and Gargano with a slingshot spear.  Gargano puts on his head band and then he hits a seated splash to the back.  Dexter punches Gargano and Gargano kicks Dexter.  Gargano with a snap mare and drop kick to the back of the head.  Gargano gets a near fall.  Gargano with a modified abdominal stretch.  Lumis with elbows and Gargano with forearms.  Lumis with a punch and spinebuster.  Lumis with punches to Gargano.

Lumis with a clothesline into the corner followed by a bulldog and a belly-to-back suplex.  Lumis with a leaping leg drop for a near fall.  Lumis goes for Silence but Gagano with forearms and he sends Lumis to teh floor.  Gargano with a suicide dive and Lumis hits the announce table.  Gargano blames Beth for all of this.  Gargano goes for a slingshot spear but Lumis with an uppercut.  Lumis with a slingshot Falcon Arrow for a near fall.  Lumis goes to the turnbuckles and he goes up top.  Lumis lands on his feet and rolls through when Gargano moves.  Gargano with a super kick for a near fall.  Gargano and Lumis exchange forearms.

Lumis with a pop up uppercut but Gargano with a super kick and Lumis with a super kick of his own.  Lumis looks at Indi and he misses a springboard elbow drop.  Garagno sets for GargaNo Escape and he locks it in.  Lumis reaches for the ropes and he swipes his hand across Indi's face before hitting the ropes.  Indi gets on the apron and Candice has some words for Indi.  LUmis with a rollup for a near fall.  Lumis knocks Indi off the apron when Gargano kicks out.  Lumis with a punch and then he goes to the floor to check on Indi.

Gargano with a DDT on the floor.  Gargano sets for the slingshot DDT and hits it for the three count.

Winner:  Johnny Gargano

After the match, Johnny and Candice walk Indi to the back.

Indi looks over her shoulder to see Dexter and then she runs to the ring and jumps into Dexter's arms.

Candice storms to the back while Johnny stands on the stage.
