WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: QUALIFYING MATCHES, A TITLE MATCH NEXT WEEK, MORE WOMEN ARE COMING, DOES LIV GET HER CHANCE?, AND MORE

Sonya says this is an announcement she hoped she never would have to make.  Bayley suffered an injury while training and she will be out for nine months.  That means that Bayley will not be competing at Money in the Bank.

Bayley did have some comments earlier.  Bayley says you think this sucks because you wanted to see the longest reigning Smackdown Women's Champion win back her title.  Now she is hurt and now that I think about it, that is not what you are thinking.  You don't care at all.  I did this to get better for Money in the Bank.  This is all your fault.  I don't give a damn who they put in my place because they are not as good as me.

Sonya says Bianca will not be defending the title at Money at the Bank.  She will be defending it next Friday in Houston.  

She will be facing a former Smackdown champion and two time Money in the Bank winner . . . Carmella.

Carmella says she gets it that you are mad.  She thanks Sonya for this long overdue much deserved honor.  You made a mistake by not mentioning that I am the most beautiful woman in all of WWE.

Like clockwork, Liv Morgan makes her way to the ring and she is pissed.  You just appoint people?  You appoint her in the Money in the Bank match and now you appoint her to be Bayley's replacement.

Liv wants to know how many times does she have to beat Carmella to earn a spot.  This is favoritism.

Sonya tells Liv that she was going to appoint Carmella's replacement for Money in the Bank.  You are in the match, now get out of my ring or you will lose that opportunity.

Liv tells Carmella she hopes that she wins the title next week because when I win Money in the Bank, I am cashing in on you.

Smackdown Women's Champion Bianca Belair makes her way to the stage and Liv points at the Briefcase.

Bianca says she will accept Carmella as her challenger, but she doesn't know if Bayley is really injured.  If it isn't you are stooping low.  If it is real, I respect your competitive skills.  I look forward to finishing it when you come back.

Carmella, I'll see you next week.

Roman Reigns looks disappointed he was not put into the Women's Money in the Bank match.  Paul stoops by and he says they may have a problem and it is Edge.  Paul says Edge intends on going to the ring and pulling his punk card and call you out to the ring.

Roman wants to know what else did Edge say.

Paul says Edge questioned his manhood.

We are back and we have a video package for Toni Storm and she is coming soon to Smackdown.

Kevin Owens has joined the commentary team but he is without a couch or foot baths.

Match Number Three:  Seth Rollins versus Cesaro in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

They lock up and Cesaro with a rollup for a near fall.  Rollins with a rollup for a near fall.  Cesaro with a side head lock and Cesaro with a shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall.  Cesaro with a take down and Rollins with a rollup.  Cesaro catches Seth on a leap frog and Cesaro wtih a power slam for a near fall.  Rollins sends Cesaro to the apron and Cesaro with a forearm.  Cesaro with a cross body for a near fall.  Rollins gets to the floor.  Rollins hits the apron and he pulls off the hood to the announce table and he throws a fit while Kevin comments on Rollins' childish behavior.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Cesaro with European uppercuts.  Rollins with a kick but Cesaro clotheslines Seth over the top rope to the floor.  Rollins avoids a forearm and hits a flatliner into the  reconstructed announce table.  Rollins sends Cesaro into the ring steps.  Seth sends Cesaro back into the ring.  Rollins gets a near fall.  Rollins with a cravate and snap mare followed by a kick and knee drop for a near fall.  Rollins with a knee to the midsection as he sends Cesaro into the ropes.  Rollins with an arm wringer for a near fall.  Rollins with a rear chin lock.  

Cesaro with punches and he goes for a European uppercut but Rollins blocks it.  Rollins with a kick to the knee and a back heel kick for a near fall.  Rollins chokes Cesaro in the corner.  Cesaro with European uppercuts and an Irish whip and running European uppercut.  Cesaro with another running European uppercut.  Rollins misses a forearm and Cesaro with an Alpamare Water Slide for a near fall.  Cesaro goes up top  and Rollins leaps to the turnbuckles and goes for a superplex and hits it and he rolls through but Cesaro counters and sets for a suplex but they both fall over the top rope and go to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Cesaro is mid Giant Swing and Cesaro goes for the Sharpshooter but Rollins with a rollup for a near fall.  Cesaro with a pop up European uppercut for a near fall.  Cesaro sets for the Gotch Style Neutralizer but Rollins tries for a back body drop and Cesaro rolls through for a near fall.  Rollins holds on to the turnbuckle pad and Cesaro with a sit out power bomb for a near fall.  Cesaro goes for a Gotch Style Neutralizer and Rollins with a back body drop and Cesaro lands on his feet.  Rollins with a rolling elbow when Cesaro goes for a springboard move.

Rollins tries for Black Out but Cesaro catches Rollins and Rollins with a rana that sends Cesaro into the turnbuckle and Rollins gets a near fall.  Rollins with a rollup using the ropes for a near fall.  Rollins with a rolling elbow to the back of the neck for a near fall and Cesaro rolls to the floor and Cesaro is bleeding.  Rollins sends Cesaro into the ringside barrier and announce table.  Rollins gets back into the ring.  Cesaro gets back into the ring and Rollins with a rolling elbow to the back of the neck and Cesaro falls through the ropes to the floor.

Rollins with a DDT on the ramp.  Cesaro beats the ten count into the ring and Rollins misses Black Out and Cesaro with a rollup for a near fall.  Rollins with Black Out for the three count.

Winner:  Seth Rollins

Jimmy and Jey Uso walk in the back and they see Edge's locker room.  

Jey stops Jimmy from knocking.  They tell Jimmy to let Edge come out and they can get him.

We go to commercial.

We are back and The Usos are still standing outside Edge's door and then they go into the room because they are impatient and Edge isn't even in there.  Jey says Edge is lucky he isn't in there.

Seth Rollins celebrates with Kayla Braxton over his victory.  

Seth says he knew that Cesaro never stood a chance against someone like him.  He put up a hell of a fight and Cesaro is not on his level.  Seth says the last time he won Money in the Bank, he cashed it in on . . . 

Roman Reigns.  He says he waited and bided his time for the perfect moment to cash in.  Maybe he won't wait this time.  Maybe he will cash in at Money in the Bank.  It is all a formality.  He should be competing against Roman Reigns because he deserves it.

Edge shows up behind Rollins and Edge says he heard this nasally sound.  Edge says you haven't changed since 2014.  You complained about not getting a title match and I got one.  Now I am going to call Roman out.

We take a look at Otis.

Chad and Otis are in the back and Chad says there is nothing more beautiful than a demolition video, especially when it features his boy Otis.  It does not matter who it is, you step to the Alpha Academy, you will have the same result.  Otis says he will destroy anyone.

Edge makes his way to the ring.

We are back and we are told that in addition to Carmella versus Bianca Belair for the Women's Title, we get the usual Four Guys from Smackdown in a Fatal Four Way Match the show before Money in the Bank.

Edge says congratulations are in order.  He reunited his family and they had a group hug.  He asks if they are registered anywhere so he can get matching leis.  He does not care how many minions Roman has because he has exposed the cracks in the table.  I will take the title at Money in the Bank and anyone who gets in his way will look like that (and we see photos of Roman and Jimmy with a steel bar in their mouths).  Edge says he will take the Universal Title at Money in the Bank.  Without the title, your island is irrelevant.  I will be in your head until the job is done.  Edge tells Roman to come to the ring.

Roman sits in his locker room and he has Jimmy, Jey, and Paul surrounding him.  Roman tells them that he will handle this on his own and he tells Jimmy and Jey to stay.

Roman makes his way through the back and he tells Paul to hold on to the title while he makes his way to the ring.

Roman makes his way to the ring and Jey tells Jimmy that Roman is going to mess Edge up but something doesn't feel right.  They leave the room when Roman told them to stay.

Jimmy and Jey make their way to the ring and Roman wants to know what they are doing because Edge called him out one on one so he has it.

Roman makes his way to the apron after removing his track suit jacket.  Roman enters the ring.

They go face to face and Edge punches Roman and Roman punches back. 

Rey Mysterio's music plays and Jimmy and Jey look at the stage but Rey and Dominik Mysterio come through the ring and hit The Usos with chairs to send them to the floor.  Jimmy and Jey with super kicks while Edge punches Roman.  Rey with a chair to Jimmy while Roman punches Edge.  Edge with an Impaler DDT while Jimmy hits a super kick on Rey and Dominik.  Edge sets for a spear but Jey grabs Edge's leg and Jimmy with a super kick.  Jimmy is sent into the ropes and so is Jey.  Dominik with a 619 to both men.  Edge spears Jey.  

Roman stands at the top of the ramp and Edge gets the part of the chair to use on Jey while Rey holds Jey.  Edge with a crossface and he puts the bar in Jey's mouth.  Jey starts to pass out and Roman stands on the stage.

Edge puts the Crossface back on Jey and then he does it to Jimmy.

We go to credits.
