TOMMY DREAMER VS. RICH SWANN: COMPLETE IMPACT WRESTLING NO SURRENDER PPV COVERAGE

By Mike Johnson on 2021-02-13 22:55:00

Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo & Susan & Kimber Lee vs. Jordynne Grace & Jazz & ODB.

ODB and Lee started out.  Team Grace had the advantage early.  They hit a series of dives until Grace was cut off and worked over for a long time as Team Purrazzo tagged in and out.  ODB finally scored the hot tag and cleaned house on Susan leading to tag team pandemonium with tons of big moves in a fast sequence.  Jazz was blinded and accidentally drilled Jordynne with the Jazz Stinger.

Everyone battled.  Jazz finally trapped Susan in a STF and scored the submission.

Your winners Jordynne Grace & Jazz & ODB!

This was all good all ther way through from what I could see.  I lost my Internet connection momentarily during the middle of this so I apologize for the shorter than usual PBP on this one.

Impact Wresting Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers vs. Private Party with Matt Hardy vs. Chris Sabin & James Storm

James Storm and Marq Quen started out.  They started out feeling the other out.  Storm shoulderblocked him down.  Isaiah tagged in and ate a lariat.  Storm began working over him as well.  Sabin tagged in.  Matt Hardy tried to rile up Private Party outside.  They heeded his advice, attacking Sabin from behind.  Sabin and Isaiah had some really nice sequences including trying to dropkick each other at the same time.

Quen worked over Sabin with a side chinlock.  Quen played mind games with Storm.  Anderson tagged in.  Private Party nailed a series of double team maneuvers and scored several near falls.  They maintained control until Gallows tagged in.  He peppered Quen with body shots and a kick to the head, then stopped on his prone body.

The Champions began tagging in and out as they controlled the ring.  Anderson beat on the shoulder.  Gallows nailed a big legdrop for a near fall.  Sabin and Isaiah both hit the ring to break it up.  The Champions kept control of the momentum of the match.  Gallows nailed an evil looking elbow drop and scored a close near fall.  Anderson cinched in an armbar.    Sabin and Storm got involved after Storm made the tag in and they nailed a series of nice looking double-team moves.  Private Party worked over Sabin and looked absolutely great.  Storm made the save but also fell victim.  This entire sequence was a great spotlight on Party.  Sabin nailed a running knee strike.  Anderson nailed a spinebuster.  Storm nailed the Whirlybird on Quen for a CLOSE near fall.

Gallows grabbed a chair but the referee admonished him.  That allowed Hardy to nail a Twist of Fate on Storm.  Quen nailed a shooting star press but Anderson tossed him to the floor and scored the pin.

Your winners and still Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers!

Good all the way through.

Impact Wrestling Champion Rich Swann vs. Tommy Dreamer on Dreamer's 50th Birthday.

They had some nice back and forth grappling on the mat.  They noted that Dreamer was wearing the same boots he wore the night he beat Taz for his ECW World title win at Cyberslam 2000 in Philadelphia.

They locked up again.  Dreamer caught him going for a high cross body block and caught him for a fall away slam.  Swann went to the floor.  Dreamer missed a leap off the apron.  Swann nailed a running kick off the apron.   Swann went for a move but was caught and hit with a Spicoli Driver to the floor.  The story was that Dreamer dislocated his fingers but he refused to stop wrestling and popped them back in place to show his toughess.  Not even Dr. Ross Forman could convince him otherwise.  Dreamer caught Swann returning to the ring and nailed a neckbreaker in the ropes.

Dreamer grabbed an armbar but Swann used his educated feet to escape.  They missed dropping elbows on each other.  Dreamer went for an enziguiri but missed.  Dreamer avoided a spinkick and they faced off.  They battled back and forth and crashed through the ropes to the floor.   Dreamer went for a piledriver on the floor but Swann kicked him in the face and then hit a springboard cutter on the floor.  They fought their way back into the ring.  Swann went to the top but Dreamer cut him off and executed a big superplex.  Swann hooked the legs for a small package.  Swann came off the ropes but was caught with a cutter for a two count.

Swann grabbed the injured hand and twisted it to regain control.  He stepped on the hand.  Dreamer scored several two counts.  Swann locked on an armbar and even pulled on the injured fingers but Dreamer made it to the ropes for the break.  Swann avoided a move and nailed a series of kicks to the head.  He naied a third and Dreamer crumbled to the mat.  Swann said he was sorry but this was it.  He went for another but was caught in a backslide for a two count.  Swann nailed a rough superkick and went to the top.  Swann missed a big frog splash.  Dreamer covered him and they went into a series of near falls.  Swann cinched in the Rings of Saturn.  Dreamer fired up despite the fact he has a torn pec and a torn bicep - both of which Matt Striker noted.  He nailed a Spicoli Driver for another two count.  Swann went after the fingers again and nailed several kicks.  He nailed the Phoenix Splash for the pin.

Your winner and still Impact Champion Rich Swann!

They told a good story here with Dreamer playing the veteran who refuses to go down but is finally overcome.

Swann embraced Dreamer, who presented him with the Impact title and shook his hand.
TNA Champion Moose hit the ring and attacked both.  He beat Swann down and held up both titles before throwing the Impact title down on Swann as the show ended.

After the show went off the air it was officially announced that NJPW stars FinnJuice are coming to Impact.  More on that on the main page in a few!
