WWE NXT REPORT: FIGHT PIT, THE DUSTY CLASSIC ON TWO FRONTS, FINN HAS A 'FRIEND'?, AND MORE

We are back and Beth Phoenix and William Regal are on the stage.  Beth says she is so excited and proud to be here as NXT makes history once again.  NXT has been at the forefront of the Women's Revolution.  In this building, women like Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Carmella, Shayna Baszler and so many more have been a big part of the Women's Evolution.  These women went on to main event pay per views, Takeovers, and Wrestlemania.  You guys wanted this and tonight, we prepare to make history again.

We see the sixteen women in the tournament on the stage.

Match Number Four:  Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez versus Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter in a First Round Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Match

Carter and Storm start things off and they go to a stalemate.  Carter with a waist lock and Storm with a wrist lock.  Carter with a reversal.  Storm with a reversal.  Carter with a shoulder tackle but Storm stays on her feet.  Storm with a shoulder tackle and drop kick for a near fall.  Martinez tags in and hits a side slam.  Storm with an elbow drop and Martinez gets a near fall.  Carter with kicks and she tags in Catanzaro.  Martinez is sent into teh turnbuckles and Catanzaro and Carter with kicks.  Catanzaro with a slingshot move for a near fall.  Martinez with a chop and punch.  Martinez with a European uppercut.

Martinez with a rear chin lock.  Martinez with boots to the head.  Catanzaro goes for a tornado DDT but Martinez blocks it and Martinez with a power slam for a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Storm gets a near fall on Catanzaro.  Storm with a punch and Martinez tags in.  Martinez with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.  Martinez gets a near fall.  Martinez sends Kacy into the turnbuckles and she chops Kacy.  Martinez puts Kacy on the turnbuckles and Martinez sets for a superplex but Kacy blocks it.  Martinez gets Catanzaro on her shoulders  but Kacy with a Frankensteiner.  Storm tags in and Storm stops Kacy from making the tag.  Kacy is able to tag in Carter and Carter with forearms to Storm and a drop kick to Martinez.  Carter with an elbow to Storm and Martinez in the corner followed by a drop kick to Martinez in the corner and a splash on Storm.

Carter with a victory roll and she hits a thrust kick.  Carter with a boot to the head.  Carter with a waist lock and an O'Connor Roll for a near fall.  Carter with a drop kick and Martinez breaks up the cover.  Kacy with a kick to send Martinez to the floor followed by a pescado on Martinez.  Storm with a head butt and German suplex.  Storm with a waist lock and Carter with an elbow.  Storm with a knee bar into a single leg crab and she stands on Carter's back.  

Io Shirai pulls Martinez off the apron and sends Martinez into the announce table.  Storm looks for her partner and does not know where Martinez went.  Carter kicks Storm.  Catanzaro tags in and Carter with a twisting leg lock and Catanzaro with a 630 splash for the three count,.

Winners: Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter (Advance to face winner of Aliyah and Jessi Kamea versus Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez)

Finn Balor is in the back and McKenzie asks where is he going and Finn enters William Regal's office.  He says he wants Pete Dunne, but he will deal with Oney and Danny first.  Regal says he has to protect Finn from himself so he tells Finn he has to get a partner.  Finn says he doesn't have friends.  All he has now is enemies.  Regal tells Finn that he needs to keep his enemies close.

Brons Reed walks in the back and Isaiah Scott stops him to give him some advice.

We go to commercial.

We are back with Tommaso CIampa being given instructions by the referee.

McKenzie Mitchell is in the back and she says that Adonis will not be medically cleared to wrestle in the Dusty Classic on Friday.

Kacy and Kayden enter the interview area and they say that no one believed us and we beat two of the toughest women and we will win it all.

We hear what Scott said to Reed and he tells him never to get in his way.

Match Number Five:  Bronson Reed versus Tyler Rust (with Malcolm Bivens)

Rust with kicks to the leg and a wrist lock.  Reed pushes Rust away.  Rust with a wrist lock  and Reed with a reversal.  Reed sends Rust to the mat and Reed with a side head lock. Rust backs Reed into the ropes and Rust with a kick and Reed with a shoulder tackle that sends Rust to the floor.  Bivens helps Rust up and tells him it is his deal.  Rust has a kick blocked and Reed with a kick and he presses Rust over his head and hits a gutbuster followed by a reverse fallaway slam.  Rust is grabbed by Reed and Rust drops Reed's arm on the top rope.  Rust with a divorce court.

We see Io Shirai and Toni Storm fighting in the back.

Rust with kicks to the arm.  Rust with uppercuts to the arm followed by kicks and a European uppercut.  Reed with forearms.  Reed with a shoulder tackle and a body block.  Reed with a uranage for a near fall.  Reed goes to the turnbuckles but Rust with a forearm and he goes to the turnbuckles.  Reed punches Rust off the turnbuckles and Rust with a bicycle kick and then he gets Reed on his shoulders for a Samoan drop and he gets a near fall.

Reed avoids the snap mare driver and Reed with a back senton and then he goes up top for the frog splash and the three count.

Winner:  Bronson Reed

After the match, Bivens tells Rust to let him make the decisions.

McKenzie Mitchell is in the back and she tells Finn Balor he has his tag match but he still needs a partner.

Finn says there are a couple people around here who owe me a favor.  Maybe it is time to have a chat.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Timothy Thatcher is given an update on the rules for the Fight Pit.

Finn Balor enters the Undisputed Era's locker room.

Cole says look what the cat dragged in.

Finn says the cat's looking for his payback.  He says they are all grown men around here.  He tells Kyle he knows why he is here.  He asks if Kyle is in or if he is still sucking his meals through a straw.

Kyle tells Finn that he is in.

Finn tells Kyle he will see him next week.

Joaquin WIlde and Raul Mendoza are in the ring while Santos Escobar is on the floor.

Escobar says a real champion does what he wants when he wants.  You are looking at the champion of champions.  The NXT Cruiserweight Champion.  A true champion doesn't have to conquer a curse like Johnny Gargano.  A champion of champions does not have a glass jaw like Finn Balor.  Some try to act like a champion with all of the pomp and circumstances like Karrion Kross.  When it is time to prove themselves, they don't make it to the first title defense.  I guess carrying a title is a heavy chip on your shoulders.

Escobar enters the ring and he says he backs up every word he says and he has beaten every person on his path.  Even Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado came here to try to destroy my empire, but I sent them packing.  

Santos says that Raul and Joaquin won their first match in the Dusty Cup and that puts you one step closer into becoming the NXT Tag Team Champions.  You would join me as the champions of champions.

Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik make their way to the ring and they go after Wilde and Mendoza.  Wilde takes care of Metalik while Mendoza deals with Dorado and Wilde helps out.  Escobar goes up top but Curt Stallion stops Escobar and he helps Metallik and Dorado.

Drake Maverick and Killian Dain are congratuated on their win last week.  Drake says he had a tough year last year but he has his best friend and tag team partner with him. He knows about MSK and people think they are going to win the Dusty Cup.  They would be wrong.  The team that is going to win is Killian Dain and Drake Maverick.  Dain likes what Drake said and hits him in the back and Drake feels the pain from the slap.

We have Fight Pit music and we see Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher walk in the back

We are back and Curt Stallion is with Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik.  Stallion says he will continue to do this until he gets his chance.

Santos Escobar shows up with Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde and he says he will embarass him next week for the Cruiserweight Title.

MSK will face Killian Dain and Drake Maverick while Grizzled Young Veterans will face KUSHIDA and Leon Ruff.

Match Number Six;  Timothy Thatcher versus Tommaso Ciampa in a Fight Pit Match

They start off on the top platform and he backs Thatcher up.  They exchange punches on the top platform.  Ciampa tries to throw Thatcher over the side of the pit.  Ciampa with a kick to the midsection.  Thatcher with a European uppercut.  Thatcher with a punch to the midsection and a forearm.  Thatcher with a European uppercut and a suplex on the platform.  Thatcher with kicks to the back while he applies a single leg crab.  Ciampa kicks Thatcher away.  Ciampa with a running boot to the head on the top platform.  Ciampa with kicks to Thatcher.

Thatcher and Ciampa exchange forearms and Ciampa with chops against the railing.  Ciampa with a forearm and Thatcher with punches.  Thatcher with a forearm to the head.  Ciampa grabs Thatcher by the ear and Ciampa with kicks to the head and he fish hooks Thatcher.  Ciampa with a kick to the midsection.  Ciampa chokes Thatcher while Thatcher hangs over the edge of the Pit.  Ciampa catapults Thatcher into the railing.  Thatcher tries to go down into the ring and Ciampa stomps on the hand and Thatcher falls to the mat.  Ciampa goes to the mat as well.

Ciamap puts Thatcher's head against the cage and kicks Thatcher in the head.  Thatcher with an arm bar.  Ciampa bites the hand to escape.  Thatcher with a European uppercut and he stomps on the hand.  Thatcher with a rear chin lock.  Thatcher with forearms to the back and he tries to send Ciampa into the cage but Ciampa blocks it.  Thatcher is sent into the cage a few times.  Ciampa with a running knee to the head against the cage and the referee checks on Thatcher and makes the count.

Ciampa goes for Fairy Tale Ending but Thatcher escapes and sends Ciampa into the cage and Ciampa holds his arm.  Thatcher puts the arm  in the gap between the cage and sends the hand into the metal.  Ciampa with a chop and Thatcher with a belly-to-belly suplex.  Thatcher with a double wrist lock.  Thatcher with forearms to Ciampa and he works on the hand.  Thatcher slams the hand in the mat.  Ciampa sends Thatcher into the cage.  Ciampa with a double leg take down and he catapults Thatcher into the cage and he falls on CIampa's knees.  Ciampa with a single leg crab.

Ciampa with a punch and Thatcher with a kick.  Ciampa with more punches and Thatcher kicks Ciampa into one of the metal posts in the cage.  Thatcher with a sleeper but Ciampa gets to the cage and he kicks Thatcher in the ding ding.  Ciampa with Willow's Bell off the referee's back.  The referee makes his count and Thatcher gets back up in time.  Ciampa with a forearm and he sets for Fairy Tale Ending but Thatcher with a European uppercut.  They go back and forth with forearms.  Ciampa with punches and a chop.  Thatcher backs Ciampa into the cage.

Ciampa with punches and Ciampa sends Thatcher's head into one of the beams and Ciampa with Fairy Tale Ending and he applies a choke on Thatcher.  Thatcher gets to his feet and he backs Ciampa into the cage.  Thatcher with a sleeper.  Ciampa tries to use the cage to escape but Thatcher puts Ciampa in the leg and Ciampa's leg is caught in the cage and Thatcher with a Stretch Muffler and Ciampa taps out.

Winner:  Timothy Thatcher
